just binged all your bio/biochem high yield & found them all super helpful!! would love a video on nephron/kidney physiology

Great suggestion! I'll put that on the list.

@6:21! I am assuming u mean positive charge!
I love these short videos sooo much! TYTY!

      Yes! Great catch.
      And you're welcome!

Around 6:21, you say gotten rid of a negative charge when the Lysine residue was acetylated, but it was a positive charge (basic) that was removed, thus lowering the pI because it became less basic or more acidic

During embryological development, when the optic nerve, ganglia and retina are finished being developed, are the transcription genes turned off by methylation? Thank you

I am not sure, but I would venture to guess that the process is highly complex and would not be as simple as just methylation. For the MCAT, I don't believe that you would need to know this level of detail!

You said that we removed a negative charge, isnt Lysine a postive charge as it is basic ? If it is neutral, wouldn't you need to add more OH to make is basic again?

I misspoke! Good catch, though @Ar-bp2wl beat you to it!

At 5:14, you say it improves transcription, but I've learned the opposite; it makes DNA more tightly packed

At 3:40 I agree with you! 5:14 is where I introduce an exception.

@@medcatmcat thanks for the video, what was the transcription exception exactly?
