    Something I forgot to add: If your trench is a bit bigger because of using tnt to make it, then you should flood the bottom of the 15 wide trenches so the floor does not get blown up by downaccelerated tnt from the tnt generators when it gets pushed down or else you wont have a smooth floor.

    Or use the Docm77 certified method of making a small world eater to eat the trench and then make a big world eater to eat the rest of the world.

  • @20LeeBrian1
    @20LeeBrian1 Před rokem +3

    Additional tips: if you pause the game, then the chunks will progressively be updated.
    - you do not need to use pumpkin or concrete for building the world eater. But pumpkin is useful for helping place blocks without using too many temporary blocks
    - there are BUDs (block update detector) without observers. Be wary!
    - orientation does not matter, but the trench sizes do matter.
    - you can add redstone blocks at the side to stop the machine, not just the main side you are using.
    - (very important) I strongly recommend to test this in creative before using in your main survival world!
    This still works on 1.19.2. However, render distance and simulation distance is strictly important, as improperly configuring these can easily break the machine and destroy itself.

    • @20LeeBrian1
      @20LeeBrian1 Před rokem +1

      Your yellow concrete marks the center of the world eater. You can place it as long as the center chunk is properly outlined.
      You also need to dig the trenches (5 block and 17 block) and check if the 5x(size of world eater) and 17x(size of world eater) is cleared so that the world eater does not break.
      If there is rain, put lightning rods on top of world eater so that it does not trigger TNT for safety reasons.

    Hey! I see your comment about trying to run it on a Paper based server. I've tried to do this myself (Pufferfish+) and ran into issues obviously before I've seen this video. Can you quickly tell people why in your own words? Personally, I believe I have found out myself the hard way; but found some "work-arounds" that basically render the World Eater into a NON-AFK machine only capable of eating a layer one at a time without it's "regular" run cycle; at best. I ran into serious latency issues and the TNT drop height seems to be wrong, so I had to lower the TNT dupers down about 6 blocks; and even run them independently from the sweepers so they don't get blown up by the "glitched"/laggy TNT dropping. Seriously, the TNT explosions were still happening 5 minutes after the TNT dupers dock; and the sweepers were problematic with Pufferfish's aggressive chunk unloading mechanic; literary ripping sweepers in half.

    I built this on singleplayer and it launches 4 TNT before it loses the TNT block and whizzes right past the return station. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I built it exactly according to the schematic. Even if I cheat and paste in the completed schematic at the same spot in my survival world, it shows the same problem. It doesn't do that in creative. What is it about my world that breaks the machine? I'm at a complete loss here.

    for the final layer if you run the tnt dupers twice after the sweepers clear liquids on the second to last layer, you only need to pull up 2 block every 6 blocks not every block
    in 1.14+ on servers 528 is technically render distance 15 not 16
    also if making trenches that go through water, is there a way to use tnt easily because if nothing is done after draining it the walls will get blown up again

    • @pixeils
      @pixeils  Před 3 lety +1

      i mean i used to do that, but i like this better because it wont miss anyblocks and you can prebuild it while its running so its a lil faster. When using tnt in water just use a water wall, 1:35 will prevent pain when u have water trench. about the render distance thing, its possible that they changed it but it seems unlikely ill have to investigate that.

    hey! i realise i'm a little late to comment on this video but i really hope you see this. when i'm using the schematic to build, can i just build layer by layer or will that screw me in any way? for example, maybe an observer detecting a block or something and setting the machine off? i know the tnt duper itself has a certain way to build because of tnt priming but what about the rest of the world eater?

    • @pixeils
      @pixeils  Před 2 lety +7

      you build it later by layer it will be fine just be careful anyways, also tnt duper will self assemble i forgot if it’s in the schematic or not but if not tnt 1 block lower than schematic locFion where it’s surfrohnded by air blocks will make it self assemble

      glazed terracotta doesn’t stick to slime - could also use honey block

    Just a question, on the schematic they're pumpkin and since I don't see them when you showcase the World Eater, I wonder if they're only here for easy block placement ?
    Thank you in avance

    • @pixeils
      @pixeils  Před 2 lety +2

      it is scaffolding to place blocks easily but gets removed automatically as pumpkins can be punched out by pistons and thus gets removed when it starts to run

  • @mikol9832
    @mikol9832 Před 2 lety +1

    I think the 15 wide water remover provided doesn't quite work. One of the sweepers get stuck when reaching the closest station

    • @pixeils
      @pixeils  Před 2 lety +2

      iirc might just need to be push limit behind the flying machine bit because some blocks were removed to make it 7 wide for that module instead of 8 so it’s probably pushing through the wall i’m assuming. essentially just place a bit more sand behind it and it should be fine

    i watched the video at like 3 am so maybe i missed it but if u gonna make a update video someday the trench flying machine can accually break from slow landing on top of the observer

      well can just change the flying machine slightly to make it snow proof i cbb tho it’s not a massive problem imo

    is there a tutorial for a toggalable tnt machine without the sweepers? id rather sponge gradually instead of mine 40 chunks worth of blocks through deepslate just for a water remover ngl (im doing the 272 wide design)

      No idea where you got that you needed to tunnel anything. There are builds for all trenchers listed.

    Where do I stand when I run it? And how much render distance do I need to have to not break it?

    • @piai55
      @piai55 Před rokem +1

      render distance depends entirely on the size of the world eater.
      If you want to eat a 16x16 chunk area for example, you'd have to load AT LEAST the 16x16 chunks the world eater travels in.

    hi pixeils, i say u make lots of different regions in the 1 schematic and was wondering how u did it. Trying to make a schematic and would like to know how to do it as i need to move my tnt side away from the launch side etc, could u explain this to me

    • @pixeils
      @pixeils  Před 2 lety

      search up litematica tutorial or here is a lazy explanation: be in normal selection mode > click on the area selection tab thing and make a new schematic then add subregions into that
