    I just found your account and I loved this video - it's the first one I've watched, but I plan on looking for more as soon as I finish this post. I moved to a new city two years ago and have not been able to connect with a good stylist. I have a very short pixie cut - finding a person who can cut a pixie is already enough of a challenge. To make things more difficult, my base is a level 3-4. My long-time stylist in my previous city used a 10V developer to lift my hair to a level 10 - her work was always perfect. I have thought about doing my own color because they can't seem to get it correct - I have been to 12 stylists in 2.5 years 😵‍💫 I have watched many educational videos, consulted with my former stylist, etc... I feel I can really do this. Thank you so very much again for posting this information... it's SUPER helpful and inspires me to release my inner stylist!

I’ve hated our well water( even w the very best filtration whole house) I have for years ONLY washed my hair twice a week w distilled water. My stylist says I have the softest hair she’s ever seen- she now recommends that to people who swim or have well water

Schwarzkopf abviously recommends that keratin repair care, but is there any more good products on the market that are maybe the best? And what is the best repair products for overly processed hair? I found your video very helpful. I used blondme on my hair. I have naturally level 3/4 dark hair color. I only used 20 vol to lighten my hair & it did an great job! My roots actually turned white yes you heard me right white not yellow. This is an very powerful lightner. This product will get you blonde quickly. They don’t want you to use this blondme lightner with heat because the bleach will swell & the hair will melt off.

I guess I am a curious, color enthuist as well as a bit of a nerd.(Nerds are so cool) I have never used 40 or 30 vol in the blondeme bleach, thank Goodness. I can't imagine using any higher a vol then 20 as it lifts very well. The chlorine in hair is a pretty scary thing. I have heard story's of people's hair heating up and smoking. Ughhhh ! Hey Maureen ! Thank you for your videos, so good and helpfull. So I a man (who care at this point) quite short hair but not shaved, i dye my hair 2 days ago with blond me with 20 developper. The first time about 45 minutes, lifted very well, the second time 40 minutes, cause i was so scared to burn my all hair. I didn't expect to have WHITE hair cause I am dark brown naturaly (would say 2-3). My goal is having pastel pink hair, i did tone with the strawberry toner from blond me line, turn out pretty good, more beige-pink thank pastel pink tho. I think i am at a level 8 now, and need to go to 9 to have the perfect pastel pink. My question is, can i lift it with a 10 developper to get 1 or 2 levels up ? I know it's hard to tell like this but.... My hair are dry now, but not broken i would say, feel great.

    I been using Blondme 40 with wellaplex, every 2 weeks for 10 months. I leave it on for 80-90 mins and never do round 2. I love my nearly platinum results! My hair looks shiny and healthy. No burning or irritation. But Also, I have very short hair less than .5 of an inch long (little longer than buzz cut). I add to my sensitive/fine areas last, such as my temples and edges. Because I keep my hair very short, I don’t mind if I have a chemical cut/breakage of the previously processed hair. I prefer this so I don’t have to cut my hair each time. But I’d probably never do this process if my hair was longer, to avoid the possible breakage.

    Also just got to the end of your video, and I can say right now, I have used 40 vol w/ blondme in the past when getting highlights, (we usually started with 25-30 and by the time we would get to the last sections of hair, we'd use the 40vol... and only recently did I watch a seminar by schwartzkopf explaining that the 40 vol developer that they manufacture isn't even intended to be used with the blondme powder bleach, it's only intended for use with their clay lightener... so anyways, back to my experiences with using the 40 vol in foils... I actually never experienced the "damage" part, because that developer LITERALLY liquifies to water when in foils, the lightener leaks out of the foils, drips like clear water with a powder residue (I've noticed when the water drops dried on my arms or my hands or wherever, and then when pulling those foils out, it looks like it started lifting near the root, but the rest of the hair foiled is hardly even lifted... like i've got dark Thick black hair that's a level 2/3, and so even using 5 volume developer at least will lift the brown tones quickly, and then take forever to lift past the 50 shades of orange, but those 40 vol foils? They would seriously not even lift that first stage of the dark brown, it would look TERRIBLE, like leopard print, black with orange blobs right on the root of the hair UNDERNEATH that foil, so its like it would liquify, and then just leak onto the scalp out of the foil.. so it wasn't even like a bleed mark, or tiger stripe, it was seriously just awful, and I AM FREAKING GLAD THAT I FINALLY FOUND A CZcams CHANNEL THAT DISCUSSES THE BRILLIANCE OF BLONDME BUT ALSO POINTS OUT TIPS AND TRICKS!!! Thanks again!! I absolutely cherish you!!

  • @jimbearone
    @jimbearone Před 2 lety +3

    What good does it do to use a high volume developer if the highlighted strands break off? If 20 Vol. isn’t enough, there is something wrong (hair is colored or coated) use a clarifying shampoo or treatment. 30 or 40 Vol. for a full head bleach is a big NO, NO, the developer will hyper accelerate and Burn Out before you get the lift you need because the hair can only absorb so much in a given time and the rest is out-gassed into the air as well as causing excessive oxidation damage to the hair. The cuticle layer begins to over-soften and become damaged after approximately 50 mins. In a bleach mixture so 45 to 50 mins. Per session and let the hair and scalp recover for 48 to 72 hours in between.

    I'm planning on bleaching my hair to a point that I can put any colour on it and it won't look that much different from the tube (I'm talking about fantasy colours, like pink and blue, that won't look orange or green because of the hair base). The thing is that, I have very dark hair and I always will need to bleach at least twice. I've never used blondme, but this time I wanted to give a chance to a bleach that everyone says do wonders in very dark hair (mine is aroun 2 to 3), but I don't know if I should use 20 or 30 volumes. I've always bleached with 30 volumes, but I don't know if it was the bleach brands or my dark hair, but even if I bleached twice, it woul just lift to a very egg yolk like colour (so I needed to bleach a third time if I wanted a lighter base, but my hair was damaged a lot). So I'm very skeptical that everyone says 20 volume developer is enough with this bleach and I'm afraid to buy it and it won't work on my hair. Notes: I never dyed my hair besides colorful, never done any chemicals procedure on it to straighten it or curly it, for exemple. The only thing I've done was bleach, but now there's not a single trace of it and I'm not Asian, so my hair is not thick, although is not thin, is somewhere in between

Its been 4 Months and the black coloration is almost out so i decided to go platinum blonde. I bought the blondeme bleach power and their 30 volume and 20 volume developer and I was plan to bleach my roots with 20 Volume but the rest of my hair with 30 since it still has some old pigments of the coloration left I thought 30 volume would be better. Do you think it is okay to use 2 different levels of developers ? I'm kinda worried i might get an uneven result.

    • @thecuriousstylist8531

      Going platinum is a lengthy process. Each persons hai is different in thickness , coarseness, and undertones. I wouldn’t try doing this process by myself. I have been a stylist for 25 years. Once hair is dyed back To black it’s harder process to remove. Two different developers is the right way to go. However there is a lot to going platinum in the most safest way. I would be very careful.

My roots are quite grown out (maybe around 3-4 inches) and are a level 7 (my roots are an ashy color with a slight red tint from some previous color I overlaid). Then the rest is probably a level 8 strawberry blonde color that was lightened and colored many times but feels relatively healthy and soft.
    How would you go about getting a light even base so I can play with bright rainbow colors? I’m nervous about which part to apply the bleach to first since I don’t want to damage the previously lightened (with bleach by a professional) hair.

I know some folks like quick results but 40 volume and lightener anywhere near skin is absolutely ridiculous. Persulfate powders are Very irrritating. I've had stinging occur with 10 volume because my scalp was still fairly clean from washing 2 days prior. These are Strong chemicals, and in this case a bit more concentrated than usual.

They started smoking after like 10 mins of processing. It was so freaking scary-9 years of doing hair and nothing like that has ever happened. We also don’t have hard water here we have some of the best water in the nation actually-and I clarified her hair twice and did a Malibu treatment on her before bleaching

    hey i do a lot of highlights, i always start with 7vol but for my last 20 foil, i tend to bump up my developer to 35 and 40 vol, I didn't find any problems with blondeme so far apart from swelling and it exposing more warmth but what can you do when you are fully booked everyday and i always olaplex, never seen any breakage from it tho

    • @thecuriousstylist8531
      @thecuriousstylist8531  Před 3 lety +1

      I love bumping up the developer as I go though my foil. I look at each guest as case by case Scenario. In the beginning of my career I had a huge horror story job. I will tell that story one day. So I don’t risk it even with Olaplex. Those “bonds” are synthetic so in time it wears off exposing the real health of the hair.

    Hi I am using 30 volume on some weave bundles. If I don’t get the lift I want , can I do 30 volume double process as there is no scalp to heat up the hair ?

    Do you recommend olaplex with this product?

    • @thecuriousstylist8531
      @thecuriousstylist8531  Před 3 lety +4

      Ola Plex is a great product! You can use it with Blondme. However, it will weaken the strength of the Leitner. And Schwarzkopf has a bond builder in Blondme
