- The Sea Jay Ranger 4.6 is a new model in the Ranger range and based on the popular Sea Jay Samurai hull. Fitted with a Yamaha 70HP tiller outboard, it's designed for guys who want a no nonsense boat that can take a beating and run on the smell of an oily rag.
weapon of a boat these Ranger 460's are. Super stable when a 100kg lad is up front casting, rock solid at rear when at rest. Room to move abounds with enough room to roll a swag out for camping, room for 3 men to lure fish out of.
A couple of ideas for anyone buying is too think about painting inside as up north you get cooked in it from not only reflection but checker plate super heating. On mid twenty deg. day you burn your hands and shoulder opening/holding forward lid, needs inside handle option. sea jay need to look at rod storage.
Sheesh this is a nice boat for my needs. Yup needs carpeted floor.

Which one you'll recommend to get? A 75hp enduro or 70hp 4 stoke tiller? Which one will be more affective.

There an awesome boat mate ive had mine near on 2 years now do everything with it from reef to to islands creeks and dams up here in mackay there ride is pretty good for what they are but weld quality would be 80/100!
What size Evakool was up front under the cast deck?

On a calm day - sure.
Make a drive on trailer with boat catch. Ask surtees how it's done or bar crusher, who stole the idea from surtees.
Also why cant you put a ten year hull warranty or lifetime warranty if its such a 'tank'? What are sea jay worried about if they have such a quality product? 3 and 4 year warranties are garbage. What happened to standing by your product? Do something that no one else is doing.
Boat looks good but there's always something.
My 4.8 goes faster with a 50 and it's not a light boat, 380 kg hull, I guess this this is wide as.
