Earlier this year, Richard ventured back to his home-from-home in the Lake District to have a catch-up with his best friend, who happens to be a farmer. Can Richard hack it when it comes to farming life? All we can say is he's not afraid to give it a go!

There's something charmingly wonderful at seeing Richard, the "resident american", being the most British bloke imaginable, and having fun doing it.

I really feel like these videos are great enough that people would also watch them with titles and thumbnails that actually describe the video a bit and not misleading clickbait.
So true, would love for someone to explain how Hammond did anything to do with farming in this. Why not just call it Hammond's day in his favourite place in the world or so? People would still watch
Agreed. The "Jeremy Clarkson clickbait" is really bad on this channel and its incredibly cringe-worthy. Using his name (and even image) when he has nothing to do with the video, just screams desperate.

The sad reality of CZcams is that more people watch it with these headlines.
It does leave a certain hole of disappointment when you reach the end of an otherwise nicely crafted video, but were waiting for any hint of 'farming' and 'Clarkson' content only to find you'd been duped. Rather dampens the enjoyment of the creators' efforts.
Great thing about Richard is he genuinely always sees the best of everything. Just watching him cheers me up!

Pub vibes, Best friend vibes, Riley vibes. the cinematography alone made me just zone in and enjoy the whole production without even realising. This 10 minute vid felt like 3 minutes. Love Hammo and Massive props to Drivetribe's production skills. Slice of fried gold.

@@K_ingh16 British vernacular, phrasing, and humour is unique in many ways. Sometimes it's in its subtlety. Hammond, Clarkson, and May embody it. Much different than many typical "loud/obvious" American productions. If you get it, you get it.
"Morning. Damp, ain't it" LOL. Absolutely loved this whole production. Richard being his full on British self, vintage cars, typical British weather-ish and two mates just having a blast.
nah overcast is typical, actual rainfall is relatively low, although not today, but I think that's cos I polished my car day before yesterday 😂

It's funny seeing Richard's friend who is like a rural captain slow.
Absolutely loved the latest Hammond's Workshop episode and him being in the Lake District was a particular highlight (it is, without doubt, my favourite place on planet Earth). Les is a true character (Hammond's Kaleb) and one whom I hope we see more of. Thanks for this video.

Subject matter aside - minding that the subject matter is insanely fascinating - the visual presentation on this video blew me away. Love how much focus there was in the cinematography, not just on the main subjects, but on the crew. Feel like there isn’t that much recognition for the folks behind the scenes in videos like these and love to see it!

Drivetribe you should make a video about Richard having to spend a day dressed as his 20y old self: shaved beard, spiky hair product and questionable shirts. Just for the laughs (and for Stuart who's still in love with him since season 3)
That pub is utterly gorgeous. It seems so utterly within the tradition and heritage of the district, but still with a modern edge to it.

It was multiple times mentioned that RH is living on a farm and he owned multiple animals; also during some specials he dropped some remarks what made clear that he knows his way around farms and equipment - he might not be a farmer, but he seemed to be comfortable in that environment.
So, probably, he would make a better farmer, but strangely, the roles are kinda switched.
Would someone 10yrs ago said that Clarkson has a farm and Hammond a car restoration garage, I would had argued it would be the other way round.

Richard is the most balanced of the three and the most normal. Love him dearly.
I really feel like I could do with more British friends. The clearest sign of fondness among Brits is how much they insult each other and that's exactly how I operate. Nothing says "I love you like a brother" quite like telling your best friend they're a lazy, terrible influence.
This looks so nice and cosy. I wish i had nice down to earth friends like that. Maybe il be a happy bloke at a pub somewhere in the english countryside, maybe in scotland. I hope so at least.
