  • The best teams all have a few things in common, and one of them the vast majority of the time is that they move the ball in an efficient, unselfish, and productive way. It's truly an art, and we broke it all down for you in this breakdown.

Amazing video! Any chance of a "Secrets to Individual Passing" video? Loved what I saw in the Lonzo + Simmons videos and would be amazing to see a more general video on it as it's a part of the game that doesn't have many "guides" per se, but is something that a lot of players could benefit from

This is the kind of series I was looking for. Good job. Going to watch other videos too. It's hard when you're balling to see your flaws in detail so these videos help

A huge key DETAIL to team play is that all the players have to be able to do some offensive things like getting away from their defender, finding a lane to receive a pass, knowing where the play can go to be in the right place. But, it starts with being able to get free whether you're the ball handler or any other offensive player.
When you have players who aren't great shooters they have to be competent ball handlers, rebounders, and be able to screen and dribble some to keep plays going. Not everybody is a star, but a group with about 3 good offensive players and 2 competent team players can do wonders.
Once you've proven you can score, the defense becomes magnetized to you and then you can distort the defensive form with fake drives and 3-pt threats and that opens lanes for other players.

Great breakdown of passing. I misunderstood the concept of passing for a long time. It took me years to learn the most effective ball-movement strategy shouldn't be to pass until you find an open shot, but rather move both the ball and players into open space to create a good, open shot.

In my opinion the 1986 Celtics were the greatest passing team of all time. I may not have been alive to watch them live but my dad collected loads of old film tapes that I watched when I was growing up and to this day their offense still amazes me. Of course the 2014 Spurs are a close second they ripped teams to shreds over the course of that season

Thank god there's someone out there willing to target those of us who recognize quality rather than just appealing to the stupid lowest common denominator with continuous marketing blare.

Can you show how a lot of slimmer, average-built, and longer guys be able to back down bigger and stronger guys and even a little taller opponents? I understand it but I want to see as much detail as I can to improve my game. I like how Antetokounmpo and Ingram backs down opponents and have an easy bucket.

Best thing is to watch video of yourself if possible. You can see the way you fit into the spacing of your teams offense, you can see your readiness and positioning defensively and you can see what things your game is lacking. Not to mention you can help position your teammates in better positions. The game will slow down for you eventually and you will be able to see things a step in advance rather than being blindsided by what is happening on the court.
