    FIrst time someone has explained how SPC works in a way that i can visually see, and understand.

      I'm glad my explanation makes sense!

    That's the best I've seen someone explain the SPC adjustment. I need to flip mine but have been a bit intimidated to screw up my alignment, but that made it easy to understand
    And definitely time for a CMC if I were you. Stuffed and turned it'll definitely rub

    • @KFloTacoma
      @KFloTacoma  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching - i understand the video is really long, I do have the CMC done (3:52). You can also probably tell by the shape of the cabin mount from underneath (12:47), I also had some final thoughts on the rubbing as well (16:45). Also, check out my wheel alignment at home video, that will make alignment a lot less intimidating

      @@KFloTacoma I missed the part about already having a CMC, so maybe time for a more aggressive CMC! I've watched your videos on at home alignment, unfortunately I have a gravel driveway and that would be dang near impossible I think. However, I am going to flip my SPC tabs to get me more space. I'm only on 33s and I've had to cut almost all the plastic and it still hits occasionally. Any harm in just flipping the plate and eyeballing where it was in relation to camber?

    • @KFloTacoma
      @KFloTacoma  Před 3 lety +1

      If you flip it around, your camber - you can kinda eyeball BUT the toe will be completely out of whack and you may have major toe out which will cause weird steering and excessive tire wear. You can probably ask your local alignment shop to change the setting on the SPC and have them align at the same time.

    I used to have general grabbers (red letters) mud terrains on my taco and boy…. Every time it rained or snowed I felt like I was on skates! I have 4:10 gears too and it was not a fun time unless it was in the dirt. Happy to have general grabber at2’s now, still slide a bit but I need to add weight in the bed.

      Thanks for sharing your experience, bro. My brother was always extra hesitant driving in inclement weather with his MTs. He said he's definitely switching to ATs after his current set wears out

    Hey bro I have the OME BP51 coilovers, 20mm preload, gives me about 2.5 to 3in lift. I'm thinking about getting the ARB bumper. How much ride height will I lose with this bumper? How much did you lose?

  • @danielborrer270

    Why not Stealth Custom Series wheels?
    Also, why not go with a proper offset and ditch the (not recommended by anyone) wheel spacers?

    • @KFloTacoma
      @KFloTacoma  Před 3 lety +1

      The stealth Custom Series is gorgeous, but I think these Rocktrix were much more within my budget since I was buying 5 of them. I'm not using spacers with these as I do have the proper off set with these new wheels (18:40)

    Cool beans!
    Have you considered solid axle up front? May be about same cost as your other options…
    I have MT (33’s) and they are noisy, my next set will also be AT.
    However I’ll stay with 33’s, I have a single cab 2.7L 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @KFloTacoma
      @KFloTacoma  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey bro to answer your question, when I regeared to 4.88, I took going to 35's and the weight of the camper into account. Typically, when you have a manual transmission (like mine), 4.56 is very popular combo with 35's but since my setup is heavier, I went higher with 4.88. The next video will be a speed analysis video which lays out the varying speeds at different gearing and tire sizes

    Or, you could not care what rubs at full lock and just slap em on anyway. Follow me for more terrible tips on how to ruin your stuff faster like I do. On a serious note, also check Solomotorsports for their LT kit, it's a little different than Marlin, but about the same cost. Also, for 35s, both are likely overkill. I do wish I had done either kit before I did the 39s but whatchagonnadonow

    • @KFloTacoma
      @KFloTacoma  Před 3 lety +1

      LOL yea, I'm keeping those wheels and tires on there regardless. I'll definitely have to join you on one of your trips 🤘 - those 39's look great btw. There's definitely a shit ton of options out there and I'll definitely have to do some more research but that Solomotorsports look like a solid choice as well

      @@KFloTacoma yeah brutha lets wheel it!!! the good thing about the marlin/solo is they come with an upgraded steering rack, I am putting the solo version in next week. the 39s are so stupid I cant believe how awesome they are.
