I am retired after 31 years in the Bureau, but since 1985, the Bureau has been funded by congress at about 89%, but Congress expects an operation at 100%. When that happens, bad things happen. Staffing is low, inmate programs aren't funded, and unprofessional conduct isn't held accountable. Prior to this Director, the Bureau was being run by the clown show. A pitiful Director promoted pitiful executive staff, who were incapable of running institutions with $50 million/year operations. I hope THIS Director and her executive staff are able to slowly turn the cruise ship back to the correct direction. Since 1985, the Bureau has never looked so badly in the public's eyes.

Just read the light on crime policy and end all this bull. Policy speaks for. It self It would turn your stomach when you read it. Mr. Cruz read the policy sheet and I damn near threw up.

I should also say the pay at most prisons/jails is not good, most would be surprised.
A lot of the older LEO are retiring and this younger generation thinks they should work M-Th 8-4, No weekends, No holidays. If they are told no about a work schedule, they just quit. I just feel a lot can be done for the staff and inmates!

Independence negotiations are not at home. This is a government problem that involves millions of people and it has been known to countries all over the world. What is the procedure for independence even if it's a family? It's a government procedure, not a coffee shop procedure.

Our prison just started to let officers carry their cell phones, I think that was one of the complaints from exit interviews . So I'm not sure about jamming the signals, ( I'm not sure what the answer should be, but something needs done).
I believe drugs are another problem, I believe prisons and jails should invest in K-9 at the entrance. A lot of drugs are found from visitations, they put them somewhere a porter can get it and pass it a long. I think if the public would hear some of the things inmates do , try to do and say they would be very surprised. But I do believe there is a lot that needs to change, to protect the officers and inmates.- My dtr just started working in LEO ( surprised us all , she had wanted to be a sports trainer lol big difference) her dad is also a LEO So I do worry !

@maryanderson5751 I don't think they should either, but they started letting them have them. The younger generation can't/ won't without them. They are hooked on social media-or watching sports.

Florida is one of the states where they lost thousands and thousands of people who moved to Florida for a reason. They cannot stand being around criminal run states anymore. We’ve got so many store owners that packed it up and down here and this is still going on they got tired of being robbed and not getting arrested and staying in jail or even put in prison, they all carry guns they can’t get arrested they let them write back out, you got a big problem with that policy I wish you all had a copy of it. You wouldn’t be having this talk you’d be arresting all the DAs who have that policy.

My uncle came back home and said something about negotiations, instead he lied. Ready to bring the police and want to make the wrong arrest. I swear to God there was no negotiation when he entered the house. If you want to negotiate, what's wrong, put it in the WhatsApp group family. yes or no? please understand

This should’ve been talked about three years ago. It’s been going on that long over three years and I’ve been complaining about it for three years. In my comments you’re a little late talking about it right now you could’ve saved a lot of lies if you would’ve brought it up three years ago Little children and everything we’re getting shot mugged be in the death, living in extreme fear for three years

You do not have to overthink this problem. Just use your common sense thinking talk to the Democrats. They will tell you it’s been horrible living with a bunch of criminals running the streets.

You better off, looking at the Republican prison and jail houses and see how they do things we have no crime hardly. I can drive and not have my car jacked and me throw them to the ground. I leave my doors unlocked. I’m calm and relaxed here in Florida but I wouldn’t be if I was in a blue state you fear for life every day with that policy of the Democrats.

The lawmaker who proposed the prison act did not do her job properly. Before pushing for the act she should have had the resources and processes already formulated and funded, and the implementations and regulatory procedures fully considered. Her lack of foresight does indicate that she should not be in Congress. Of course, what can you expect from mental defective Democrats. The current hearing should not have needed to have occurred. Democrats are a government waste and they generate government waste. Democrats are proving themselves as unworthy, unreliable, corrupt and criminal. Perhaps the last charge is why Democrats want a broken system of prisons. They fear being locked away, as they should be, and want loopholes to escape their justified incarceration. Of course they could repent from and reject their evil ideology, reform and gain true wisdom. Then they would have no reason to fear, and then might succeed in fixing the prison system. Is it too much to expect from Democrats?
