She had a duty to tell the mayor of it being unconstitutional. As an attorney, she had a duty to fight for her client-it’s literally what attorneys get paid to do, just like a criminal defense attorney (even if they know their client is guilty).

It’s crazy how much of a waste of time these congressional hearings and special council investigations etc are because no one is ever forced to actually answer a question. They either answer with a talking point or say something completely unrelated and sure, they get a little push back, but they’re never forced to just say “yes” or “no” on things. It’s all political theater. Nothing ever comes of it.

The reason I have a problem with this is because of the way she is conducting herself in this specific situation. I’ve been an attorney for 13 years, she is absolutely right sometimes to defend clients you have to try pushing some boundaries but now when asked about it she is blatantly lying and refusing to admit that’s what she did. The lengths she went to in order to avoid saying they lost in court because their stance was unconstitutional is mind boggling. She’s digging a hole that just keeps getting deeper.

One time I was threatened by a county attorney. She literally said she will put me on the stand and price what ever she wanted to prove right after making blatantly false accusations. After a year of the county continually violating my 4th and 14th amendment rights and the case was dismissed. I met with county counsel after the fact with the attorney in question present. When asked why she threatened me she said she was "just defending her client." This kind of stuff is the problem with this country.

I think that is fine, these people serve their clients, beyond their own personal opinions. They should not be political appointees, when somebody disagrees with something they defend its because its them just doing their job.

I have not listened to a single Biden fed. judge nominee that in my opinion should ever sit on a federal judge's bench. They will not answer the most pertinent questions which would qualify or disqualify them.

She dug her own grave by not telling the truth. If she had just been straight up and said "I was tasked with defending the Mayor, and I had to come up with arguments in her defense, and so I can't just throw her under the bus. I didn't agree with with it, but I had to defend her somehow, and that was the best I could come up with." Who am I kidding. We all know she agreed with the Mayor, and when her decision got struck down, she wanted to pretend she had nothing to do with it.
