This song always brakes me into tears, don't know why, it's got sth deep in it that move my soul.
Yes! Completely agree! There’s something so other worldly about this song, lyrics that transcend the moment when a band is deciding if they can find a path back from the brink and apply universally to all of us!
She doesn't do it as smooth or as emotional as Bono. The orchestra carry her.

A beautiful song that will always be defined by Bono's performance but it is so encouraging to see the music across the spectrum of performance. That defines a great song.

3:29 “One life with each other… But we’re not the same. We get to carry each other“
I always thought the one of the most overlooked parts of this song is the word “get” in that lyric. In fact a lot of people use the word “have” in that lyric when they cover this song.
But I think using the word “get“ delivers an entirely different message and perspective on how we should view each other. It conveys the idea that we should view it as a privilege to help one another.. as opposed to the word “have“ which gives the essence of a burden. It’s such a beautiful phrase.

The original version of this song by U2 was released in 1991 on the album Achtung Baby . It has become one of the most iconic songs of all time in the decades since. The lyrics were inspired by the band's fractured relationship at the time and their attempts to unify. We're glad they worked through their differences! :) Over the years the lyrics have been interpreted in many ways and the band has used "One" to promote human rights causes.
This song features a beautiful solo performance by McKenna Breinholt and of course the amazing Cinematic Pop Choir and Orchestra.

How could anyone not love Cinematic PoP. The singers they have chosen and the utterly fantastic orchestra are truly amazing. I have purchased their first arrangement for my I pod but do prefer to watch them in action on CZcams. Whoever does the musical arrangements are truly amazing artists.. Love you guys and your music.
