Everyone experiences code switching, black and white. When I visit relatives in Jamaica my language is different from when I am at work, or socialising with my English friends. It is not just racial, there are also class dynamics.

You're generalizing a lot. Obviously, everyone experiences code switching. Just like how everyone experiences systemic violence one way or another. To the extent that a black girl at a white high school does, for racial reasons? Probably not. You risk watering down the term. Sometimes it's about "how much" you code-switch, and sometimes its good to exclude certain people from the category.

It's way more than that. Basically making yourself small and overcompensating for your blackness. Don't equate it to being different at work and home. Racial code-switching is that and so much more. Educate yourself.
