The Colonel being the supporter of the Indian Army and he belongs to the family of the Indian Army he wanted to impose AFSPA on Manipur. Many of my family and friends are serving the Indian Army, Navy and Airforce. I have a lot of respect for their contributions to the country. However I am totally against AFSPA. AFSPA must be completely revoked from our country. It was imposed since the 11th of September 1958. It has been removed only within the limits of some police stations. However AFSPA is still imposed in a major part of Manipur. If any of the so-called revolutionary or separatists or terrorists movement could not stop by imposing AFSPA since the last 65 years. What is the point of imposing AFSPA in Manipur? AFSPA is still imposed till today where all the major poppy cultivation areas of Manipur. There are many poppy cultivation areas around the 5 kilometres radius of Assam Rifles Camp. AFSPA is still imposed in that area. But why haven't they exposed them to the national media for the last 10 to 20 years? AFSPA is a reincarnation of the British-era legislation that was enacted to quell the protests during the Quit India movement. (1) It has been dubbed as a license to kill. The main criticism of the Act is directed against the provisions of Section 4, which gives the armed forces the power to open fire and even cause death, if prohibitory orders are violated. (2) The people of Manipur have witnessed security forces of having destroyed homes merely on the suspicion that insurgents were hiding there. They point out that Section 4 empowers the armed forces to arrest citizens without warrant and keep them in custody for several days. (3) There are several instances where the armed forces have been found to be misusing the oppressive powers given by the Act like fake encounters, sexually exploiting the women in disturbed areas. What is more disturbing is the fact that the armed forces escape with impunity for their actions since legal suits cannot be filled against them as per the Act. Thus AFSPA clearly violates human rights. (4) AFSPA has failed to contain terrorism and restore normalcy in disturbed areas, as the number of armed groups has gone up after the Act was established.

Sir is right. I have worked in Delhi NCR and met many NE people. They are very friendly but these Dilliwallas treat them with utter contempt. They often complain about that.

Not everyone is like that. But what happens is some of them are really awkward. And they all look alike despite of being from different communities of NE. That's why they are all clubbed together. So it is better they prove their worth by their behaviour. And expecting any kind of respect on Delhi roads and buses is a distant dream.

Manipuris are extremely unreliable leaving exceptions. I have had both types as friends.
Delhites are so entitled that they treat everyone rudely. Sorry to say but Delhi probably has the rudest people in the country. The only thing is they are rude to everyone even each other.

When you closely watch affairs in Nagaland and Manipur you feel systemic injustices of Indian constitution against hardworking labours mostly hindus from Bengal Bihar and Assam who are living like beggers for many generation without any rights in so called tribal areas. While well organised rich Christan Kukis and Nagas, having completely western european lifestyle, still opposing UCC on fake ground of tribal customary practice. They are bargaining with govt through well equiped armies inside and outside India, enjoying all benefits of poor tribals of CG, Jharkahnd, Orissa like reservation, exclusive land rights and additionally zero income tax, which is denied to poor hindus of Assam and Meities of Manipur.
Part of solution is Central govt immidiately needs to stop wasting thousands of crores hard earned taxpayer money for full funding of state budget and bring them to senses by asking to earn their bread and butter. As no development is reaching to ground, almost whole amount is going to insurgents through rampant corruption and underground tax collection. While poor villgers dieing for basic facilites, insurgents enjoying 7 star lifestyle with huge bunglows, fleet of luxury car in cities along with zero income tax, which also used by many marwadis for opening business in bogus propritory of tribals 😆😆😆

But one point Manipur valley area had become relatively peaceful area for last 10-15 years . Most of the insurgents surrendered or number became minimal just before this present violence. During first initial days of this present violence meiteis were without defence/ weapons/ underground. Many Villagers were killed mercilessly. They had to defend themselves only with stick/knife. But as violence prolonged meiteis are also trying to get weapons either by looting/ other means. Otherwise we all will be killed if we don't defend. On the other hand trucks and trucks of weapons are coming to kuki militants from Mynamar. When govt want to dearm it should not only focus on looted weapons but also consider to other side where tremendous weapons are coming to support kukis.
About meira paibis, govt failed to protect unarmed civilians, only help they are getting protection is from these their own community village defence force, when they were crying for help, govt failed to do that. All their houses burnt. Many unarmed meiteis villagers kinapped and killed mercilessly. That's why they are saying if any action like combing operation/ any measure it should be done on both side.

The only solution is get and occupy Myanmar Chin state aur Naga state into India. Then India have fully control over the terrain of purvanchal range, and administration of manipur, nagaland will be super easy..

AFSPA targeted/affected the life of only meitei community in the past. Now today the issue is totally different. Its about illegal immigrants Chin kuki mizo they called themselves and then illegal staying and its poppy cultivation. What steps or what has Army been doing on this current issue.

Correction: AFSPA is limited to the valley region which have been removed... The hills side especially Kuki dominated area is under SOO which is still intact.
One thing to note is that Armed Pressure Group from both side is demanding for autonomy of some sort but the valley pressure armed groups are the one which is demanding for separation from the Union of India.

Bharat became Bharat not from fighting but getting along together. That doesn't mean that there were not wars. But there were also long lasting peace, which give opportunity to people to grow economically and get there children educated. Which led to more economy. But this was not the same in North-East Bharat. However, this is the golden opportunity for them to get along themselves to get out of age old traditions at least from fighting between villages, tribes in the name of egos. They have to come up with systems which gives there people long lasting peace and prosperity.
🌿🌻 What people who are suffering, their houses burnt, no proper food and shelter need healing and comfort. Start praying for their traumatic lives to normalise. Fellow Indians should have a compassionate heart. Prayer is Powerful and God hears and answers prayers from a sincere heart. For those who don’t know what sir had spoken on illegal migrants..The southern portion of Manipur was inhabitated by KUKI/ZO tribes along with Mizoram in India and chin state of Burma and Chittagong of Bangladesh since pre Independence..But when the Britishers came they divided them along an irregular lines separating the ethnic ZO/KUKI tribes (as sir has said divided along a straight line separating one from the other) without their consent. So I won’t term those who came over to which either side as illegal since those Belt or territories were theirs to begin with…And Manipur was carved out by the British and given to meitei king who doesn’t have any authority over the Nagas nor Kukis/ZO
