LOVE. The looks were so fun and I really appreciate content for modest dressers, even though I'm not one lol
Glad to see Net-A-Porter addressing different needs. Not everyone feels comfortable showing lots of skin, and regardless, I think some of these looks could be quite nice for people living in areas with cooler summer climates.
woooow amazing style ascia love it 😍
Adorable! Love this edit, inspirational.
I love these looks! I have been a modest dresser for sometime in my own way. Now, I am totally loving these colors and choices that we all have! Thank you, Ascia!
I loved you style it's very original
I love the ruffled bustier thingy.
While if agree this isn't my sense of style I still know that this is what's in fashion right now, if you look at the runways, or what the top people in fashion are wearing, or haute couture magazines this is what's going on in fashion.
that tibi top is stunning x
the corset really make the outfit
love
Frankly, I think the model looks slightly uncomfortable wearing these garments. I see Leandra Medine, Linda Rodin, among others wearing these trends beautifully. It all amounts to confidence.
Can plus sized women do corsets?
How come when Iris does these crazy colorful looks it's a brave form of art and self-expression and when Ascia does it it's too much ?!
Can everyone please stop hating, You may not like wearing things like that but fashion has no rules it works for everybody and everyone can do things differently, so please accept differentiation in people's perspective of things !
It's funny that people are saying there's too much going on... b/c if Iris Apfel is the inspiration here there's actually not enough going on LOL!
Iris is a master at layering copious amounts of contrasting jewellery, and I don't see that going on here in this video.
Actually I'm not saying that Iris is the inspiration, Ascia has her own thing going on, but they both have these "extreme/non-minimalistic" style in common which I personally appreciate because its something that I will never think about.
True
People are constanly saying oowh its too much but it aint if Ascia wears it it looks amazing , its just that the model can’t take that layering
The thing is that Asia on her Instagram never wear these kinds of outfits, so how can she advertise for the stylish modern dressing
Amazing
I find this costume-ey.
o.O seriously !!! on dirait c'est un déguisement pour un carnaval :3
Some of these layers can be simplified, my hijabi fam/friends are better at layering than what is presented here and they always look chic. However, I love the accessories.
good job :) but when you put on the red one i dont like it ..
Do some videos please
Cute styles. They would add too much "weight" to my body but I love to see how she works them
I agree it's not for everyone. it's all about modesty fashion . Maybe it could be precised on the title. .. just un idea
I love that u r bringing Ascia 😍 I loved the wrap/robe dress with headwear and the last look 😊 The others may be too much for me ..
effortlessly????
Lol! Right?! I'd have to try really hard to look that crazy.
These ideas, while cool in theory, they most definitely don't work in the summer heat in the city. And the looks have way too much going on. If someone has that kind of look, then that's super awesome but it's not something that works for everyone.
shes just trying too hard to be "fashionable". you dont have to wear 3-5 prints together and then add a red platform? i think ppl are perturbed because shes "instructing" in a sense saying we 'should' wear this... she should just say "this is my style." and the model is not wearing a hijab so this is not necessarily for that culture as other comments have suggested. not hating...she should do what she wants...but her delivery implies that shes teaching us something...and this certainly isnt the way most women want to dress. lastly if this is cultural dressing, women would have heat exhaustion with all those layers....
totally agree!!
What is the idea, story behind these looks ? What supports this complexity? Otherwise they look very tiring and not funny
Well I am a muslim and a modest dresser but these looks certainly aren't "fashionable"
No body wants to go for such weird prints and layers
Dislike.
Much better then her street style video!! That was hideous!! This is still crazy and clashing and a lot of layers though...
What is this?! Come on +NET-A-PORTER
Evelina Dimitri not so sure if you got the hint but she did mention these looks were geared towards modest fashion ladies-- and as a Muslim I loved how most of these looks are wearable for a lady who wears a hijab 😄 so I guess she was showing options for us too?
No bueno
net à porter owns to a big luxury group and it's normal for them to comunicate to all king off customers. but is confusing because it's not real fashion trends but adapted to modesty customers.
you can't just throw random things together that look terrible and call it stylish. like.?
Horroroso. Las chonis de los polígonos tienen mucha más clase y glamour.
Too much happening.
too much layring too much prints too much colors.... it's horrible
omg too much going on, these looks are horrible
too much layering with too much going on.. not good choices
Not too much if you think about this video target market and their religion. For those who can´t show skin, these are great options!
DVmakeup I still feel that the choices are too much and one can still dress well with layers but with this selection, you don't know what to look at because the choices do not compliment one another.
I think the problem is that this series of videos just seems very rushed (esp. in comparison to other videos on this channel). Also, tbf not everyone who dresses up to cover skin dresses in a maximal way.
Imo they should've had 2 stylists working together. Ascia (the stylist specializing in maximal fashion trends), and another stylist specializing in covered up looks that are more pared down/minimal. The minimal stylist could present their minimalist outfit... after that, Ascia could step in, add her finishing maximal touches, and present her alternative version of the minimal outfit. Or Ascia could present a maximal outfit, and the minimal stylist could take pieces off/change the outfit to suit a more minimal style.
Catastrophic
Oh, that is horrible !!!
Trying to make muslim dressing mainstream?
I would be laughed at if I go out looking like that. This is hideous!!!!
