I don't know if the audience didn't "get" it because they aren't ar-teests. It is possible for a bunch of normies to appreciate more "out there" pieces like Ivesiana. A lot of them were probably mostly stunned and needed time to digest what they just saw, it is very unsettling piece, doesn't exactly make you want to jump to your feet with glee when the curtain drops. PS I saw that production and you executed it impeccably, Amar was a bit over dramatic and bewildered for my taste, but it was all danced to perfection.
