Y'know what, I heard this story not long after getting Skyrim on my pc. I was playing it after listening to the story and had a surprised pause moment when a random guard said: "Watch the skies, traveler." It still amuses me when they say it.
That was my first thought listening to this XD So this mod... Maybe at the end Alduin eats the world?

This one guy (I can't remember his name) kept telling me to watch the skies.
Lion Heart Guards say that, always thought it was about the dragons, but it may have been a nod to this as well. Bethesda is known for their clever easter eggs.

I always liked this story, because its creepy...but not unbelievable and not inherently supernatural. But It has this...weirdness and underlying darkness to it.

There's something deeply unsettling about this, I can't quite put my finger on it, it's not particularly well written or anything, but that 'watch the sky' thing... I find myself keep thinking about it. It implies that something terrible is about to happen. I wish this was real just so I could find out what the fuck is going on.

My sole reason for picking Khajiit the first time I played Morrowind (in 2002 and I was about 11 years old) is simply because I like cats. My older brother suggested somebody with better magic, but nope, I picked the kitty cat.

This is about the only gaming pasta besides "BEN Drowned" that I actually like.
It's not so overblown with blood and "hyperrealistic" bullshit. It's just creepy and unsettling (and well written, which is always a plus for CreepyPastas).

Yall don't realize jvk was a real thing. I remember when it first started showing up late 2003 early 2004. It boggled my mind that someone wrote about it so many years later. I remember it ruined my saves and game and I had to reinstall the disk entirely. Super unnerving that this was on my computer at one point. Who knows what sort of weird stuff the mod did.

I am not going to play Skyrim anymore after this because of the mods. Not only that I will not even touch marrowind now as I thought I have never played it so i should try once.
As soon as my friends sent me that email I would've gone straight to his house, and checked to see if he was ok.
My first thought was that this was going to be linked to Sheogorath somehow. You know, a game that drives people insane. But it seems a bit too orderly for him. Perhaps, if the whole thing involves the deadra, it'd be Nocturnal or Boethiah.
This sounds more like a thing mehrunes dagon or molag would pull. Nocturnal doesn't seem to kill often. She prefers Making deals not bodies. Boethiah does kill a lot but she seems to prefer subtlety and subterfuge if she wanted to kill people she wouldn't do it with a mod that got famous. The whole thing is too malicious for sheogorath. A popular mod that drives people insane or to their deaths definitely their territory.
***** I could see it being Molag, but it seems too subtle and too slow acting to be Dagon. He seems to prefer more rash actions and mass slaughter. Mephala is certainly a likely candidate as well.

It's 2020, and I always come back to listen to this every so often. It was one of the first creepypasta narrations I ever listened to. The combination of the music, sound effects, narration, and general vibe of the story create such a specific atmosphere that's simultaneously relaxing and unsettling, one that I thoroughly enjoy to this day. One of my favorite videos and one of my favorite classic creepypastas.
One of my favourite Gaming Creepypastas of all time. The reason; it is entirely possible. Thru subliminal messages and immersion into the human psyche in the mod itself, these events could happen.

I was really liking this one up until the end. I don't know, I hate the "and then the game/movie/book killed them" ending. It's been done to death, and oftentimes feels like a cop-out, especially in this one.

Is it bad that I knew what this was before I even played the video? This is a pretty old creepypasta. From what I remember, because I did research on this specific creepy pasta, there was supposedly a 'working' version that corresponded to the mod. Like all things absolutely fake and creepy, it was on an obscure forum where it got deleted, for obvious reasons. Trolling and spam. The .text file was real, too. I find this one interesting because it scared so many yet it uses the popular trope of bringing something fake and virtual to life, whatever magic is being used. Fun creepy pasta, but it's always lacked the logic.

I remember playing around with mods in Skyrim one time, I was walking around Whiterun looking for a cool sword for a mod and all of a sudden, a Whiterun guard says to me "Watch the skies, Traveler." I swear to god I quit out of that game faster than I've ever before, then posted a thread about it on the Skyrim steam board. Freaked me the hell out. I found Skyrim really creepy after these stories.

XxChibiPlaysxX yeah I get like that with games, I found that while playing games I would get a feeling like I was being watched in the game and instantly quit, the games that were ruined for me by creepy pastas are, GTA San Andreas, morrowind, fallout 3 and minecraft, minecraft is the only one that I could somewhat play, all of the rest of these are single player so, I just couldn't play them, I can now coz I am older but yeah still sometimes I still get that spooky vibe
