  • Welcome Back! On todays adventure Olivia and I are headed to one of the local parks in search of some polypores. A horse hoof fungus would be awesome to find as well. Come join along and see what we end up seeing and finding!

Another reason birch are awesome. Going to tap a few soon, definitely keeping an eye out for these polypores.
Apparently tea made from them has quite the laundry-list of health benefits.

Awesome. Yeah I really want to try birch sap. I need to find a good cluster of them just outside of the city

Yuck, you guys are still sitting on a ton of snow. 30cm more isn't going to help. Good for you guys for getting out and exploring! Looks like a nice place to keep Olivia entertained. Cool to see the banded Goose too! The charred product looks pretty decent!

Yeah winter does not want to f off thos year. I think mother nature forgot she just dumped on us 2 days ago since it's snowing again today. I love winter but it's too long here in winnipeg lol. That park is nice and close to the house. It gets pretty crazy busy during the summer though

Haha it gets way easier with practice. Ferro rod is second nature to me now. I def need to practice more wet environment fires. That one of my plans this summer

Haha yup. Olivia and I love exploring the urban forests. I will def have to get creative this summer with gas prices!

@@prairiemountainmanadventur7424 I hear that! This is the year I decide to have a New Years Resolution goal of fishing 20 new lakes and rivers 🙄, hopefully I can afford gas and travel to still accomplish the goal. If I didnt have that goal, I would be spending most of my time very close to home.
