It was nice to see other videos that werent seen before. Still very sad. But one thing y'all forgot to mention was how hundreds of the island's people opened up their homes to some of the survivors as well. Such a sad day 12 yrs later
The National Geographic Channel did a good documentary about the raising and recovery of the Costa Concordia, now what I'd like to have seen the NG channel do is a follow up documentary showing the dismantling and recycling of the wreck after it reached Genoa.

Terrible documentary. Too much coverage about what happened and not enough about the completed salvage operation. It is not the "Whole Story."
I don't understand - why wait for the rescue crews all night, why not swim to the rocks?
not everyone are confident swimmers, alhough they were on the cruiseship (probably)
@@majatxeb Also, it was a middle of winter, water was freezing. They risked hypothermia if they tried to swim even if they reached the shore. Not to mention that it was dark and disorienting. In these conditions, it's much safer to wait
