@jyotirmoymallick4188they were Mughals and Afghans not "Islamic rulers" you love to bring religion everywhere don't you?...also mughals ruled India, British colonised India-there is a huge difference...yes,Mughals were initially invaders but then they settled here, they regarded India as their motherland, the story with Britishers is a whole lot different.
And the violence today,it is more from the side of Hindus,at least there is verbal degradation of muslims everywhere, the media is corrupt, and we are moving towards majoritarianism
Also we have formed this wrong ideology that Hindus are majority, muslims are minority...this the the case only if we divide majority and minority on religious basis,in a democracy, the majority and minority changes on every issue,a country can be said as democratic only when every citizen of the country has the chance to be in the majority without bound of religion, caste, sex etc.
Also I don't understand why do you hate muslims too much? Doesn't hating a religion make you extremely communal, because you think that all people belonging to a particular religion are bad and all the people following your religion are good

@M whatever he was an asshole and not as mighty as western media potrays, they potray him as a rational and inspirational, a perfect leader and it's annoying and irritating. He may have protected your ancestor or British/Euporean people but he cared about Indians' less than a pig, so tell me what difference will it make for a Indian at that time to get killed by the hands of a British or a German, so don't talk as if he is saviour of colonized countries, he is saviour of you European not us. At last we loosed our blood in war that fought for your glory not ours. The fact is that some Indian kids' whole life started and ended without a future and freedom in the century long Raj of British empire. A hungry stomach can volunteer to kill it's own people don't talk about volunteering in war. At the end alot of leaders you idolised were assholes, maybe not evil like Hitler but still. We know the history is written by the winner. The only complain about British people now is they always argue that colonialism was long time ago you should get over it and it was old times, no, as easy as it is to wound someone it is exponentially hard to heal that wound, so let them grief for their looses without telling them to get over it or telling them how you were their saviour.

It was The Britain's choice how many people living in its one of the colony India they want to shoot , if It likes to make roads in its one of the colony India or if it likes to make railway tracks in its one of the colony india and it was the Britain's choice whatever they like to do to Gold in India, to statues in India and to all the things in India which we Owned owning India in 1858.

@@lionoftheuk6978 dude you watched the whole video , did you really get the video? Is it so hard to acknowledge the fact that what your ancestors did was wrong? , It the least the new educated generation could do? But looking at your comment I don't think it's so educated anymore , as Trevor ( a comedian jokingly said British officers came one day and decided to tell Indians that it is now under a queen we do not identify, we do not know of , we do not have the same cultures or values , so how can a queen of different country and a different language can tell us what to do? The fact is that 200 years of oppression still stays heavy on Indians , because during those 200 years Britishers as an agenda decided to educate Indians in the western way , by teaching them western culture so that as a result Indians would eventually get disconnected from their own language and culture and adopt the westerns way , because of this agenda , Indians who don't know English or who are not properly fluent in English look down upon, but in countries like Italy , Korea , China , Japan , Mexico etc. The language the natives speak proudly is their own language , because it's so deeply rooted in generations and generation's that Indians who know English and the English ways are superior that the people who don't want to know western culture are looked down upon , so do you still think that the Britishers don't owe reperations to India , then you are clearly uneducated or I can simply put it " ignorant to your wrongs".

I am really glad that Dr. Shashi Tharoor manifested the wrongdoings and torture that we had faced as a nation. We could have shared the same stage where most of the developed nations are but we were burried under the false media. On the brighter side we still are proud as an humble nation and love where we are. Still believe that the whole world can treat each other equally as one family instead of calling names like third world etc. No matter which country we are from, what I have seen good folks always stand for the right. Again, the Americans had no motivation to break up the British overseas holdings, the sole reason they “left” is because it was economically and militarily unfeasible to actually exercise control after Gandhi and the Freedom Fighters united India in its Independence struggle. The only reason the British were able to gain holdings in the first place was because of “divide and rule” and playing different Indian kings against each other.

Not only did Britain leave without any gesture of help, but they made sure that India stays troubled for long. The way they marked the boundary of our neighbours, the option offered to princely states to either stay with the Union of India or become Independent etc was intentionally done. They wanted the Indian subcontinent to break into many small countries. Pakistan was created with territorial issues with India....then there are boundary issues with China...India courted war in 1947, 1965, 1971, 1999 all due to the disputes deliberately left over by the British.

Personally I couldn't care less about it.
How many trillions do you think India has stolen from Britain and other Western nations through the fraud of carbon taxes?
Allowing your economy to flourish with ubiquitous cheap unregulated labour and being exempt from expensive environmental policies that our nation has been burdened with even though you pollute massively more ?
These policies resulted in the deindustrialisation of the West costing endless trillions and every British household pays massively toward you wealth through the extra costs of our "clean" energy programs and globalist diktats.
Yes China is an even bigger offender but these injustices are happening today, not old history.
It is a criminal world and regardless of your nation or ethnicity or religion it is always the people who pay for it and always the elite who profit so educate yourself on modern geopolitics and why the world is the way it is and who actually profits from tyranny then perhaps you will not be so myopic.

when he said " smashed their thumbs and broke their looms " , they literally cut off their thumbs and destroyed their equipments
also , it's not just about taking resources , the way people were killed and tortured and starved to death in their own country (and they were farmers , growing their own food ) , is heartbreaking and it's not something that can be or should be forgotten .
also when he said that a sorry would go a long way , i can relate , but i think that's how indians have always been , a reason why britishers could colonilise india in the first place

    • @shishirvaishy3491
      @shishirvaishy3491 Před 4 lety +3

NO, here you are putting wrong information and wrong historical facts, we were already a cluster of the princely state.
there was a plethora of princely state when Britishers came, so they conquered some of them including Mughals, Marathas etc and created British India.
so there were three-part 1- British India, commissioners and princely state.
they ruled over British India directly and did accord with the princely state which was suppressive in nature. and Britain continued to engulf princely state to extend boundaries of British India. when they left there were still 100s of the princely state.
so we were handed over British India only and India had to integrate other leftover princely states, that is why we call Sardar Patel "Iron man of India" and "unifier of India".

British can keep that money .. they need that money more thn us . They are and they were bloody poor . It might help them to rebuild their sick mentality . We are Indians ..We do not beg for money .. we know how to build our own country . We know how to start from the bottom and go up high . We been doing this from many centuries . We are well efficient and hard working people . We do not bring each other down . We work together and grow as we are doing now.
These bloody British can keep the looted money and feed their people . At least we know that they are no superior thn us and they are living on what they took from us . My land my country my people are not that needy .
