- Two Swiss girls love the Simpsons as much as they love New Orleans. So of course they needed to recreate this sequence!

Thanks to all the awesome people of the different restaurants that let us film in there.
Can we also talk about the fact that the simpsons writers, animators, designers used actual locations that were so recognizable someone could replicate this scene. Just both sides spectacular and one of my favorite scenes ever

I think what makes this even more brilliant and genius...is the fact that YOU TWO ARE FROM SWITZERLAND?!?!? Now, if this was done by some local New Orleans Simpsons fans, it would be impressive, but atleast we would think that locals would know the area...BUT SWITZERLAND??!? that is as far away from New Orleans as you can get..and you girls did such an amazing job!! What you did takes some REAL dedication!!... You should be invited to the Simpsons studios and be given a trophy for the "First Annual Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence ." But just don't fall off the balcony when they call your names..

The attention to detail is spectacular. I love how they switch roles so they can take turns playing Homer. And the very fact that it's an homage to a latter-day Simpsons episode. These Swiss misses are golden gods.

You couldn't have expected one of those tiny girls to eat all that food. They had to split it up. :)
I’m also assuming that it was filmed over the course of several days and that after filming the necessary shots they split the food with each other (plus whoever is holding the camera)

I’m sure you can have one person eat a singular portion in a shot and then have them share the rest of the platter with everyone else.
That being said, there’s nothing wrong with how they pulled this off!
I just realized that there’s one thing that Homer forgot to eat, beignets!
At the end up the episode, he eats some with Bart and Lisa 😊.

@@ThatGuyCanmanNC It's more like a happy coincidence. Honestly, this wouldn't be the first time two youtubers had the same idea at around the same time. Legal Eagle and Mat Pat (via film theory) both did a video on the legal violations in Willy Wonka without knowing of the other's work. There was some accusations of copycatting from one to the other at first before an understanding was reached. At least Babish linked to Katrin's video to recognize that he wasn't the first to do it.

I love how they take the time to really recreate the scenes shot by shot. Plus I actually went to some of these restaurants in the video when I was in New Orleans. It was so good!

At 0:16 I'm glad you got to go to Gene's before he closed up shop. I think he closed about a week ago.
Doesnt look like they got to go. Looks like they took some random sandwhich to the location and did the shot. Or Gene didnt like all the signs that he had up during the simpsons episode and just went with plain pink afterwards.
Unfortunately, we missed it by a week. It was already closed and they took down all the signs. But at least the building is still pink :)
