Well in MH lore the humans in the game have wyverian blood thus they can do abnormal things like jump over a cliff like it was nothing

The closest to it are foods from the Southern Cone (Uruguay, Argentina & Brazil), we eat a lot of meat. If you go to either a Brazilian or Argentinan Restaurant you can eat “Asado”, piles of good cook meat of different cuts & kind. Then there are stews also with meat, Pascualina & with biscuits(not cookies, like sweets baked buns with cream or caramel & Croissant filled with caramel or cheese or jam). Best meals ever. Funny that i was muscular with all that meat & exercise.
Oh & also my grandmother eats Ostrich eggs, they are huge & some relatives hunted & ate capybaras, rabbits, etc.

I absolutely love the detail of the Palico companion always looking at the fact you're already done and it still has more to go

On the other hand if it's a perfect meal (you get all three food buffs from it) your Palico manages to finish it just in time, meaning it was so good it sped up tthe cat's eating speed.

The way the Hunter was animated when she tore off some meat from the lobster tail felt different than the other eating animations. It felt like they put more time into it.

I love how even though most of the animations are the same, they still adapt it to different foods. Like they don’t have the hunter take a bite out of the oyster shell like a piece of bread.

A includes,
1, something meaty to chomp,
2, a kebab to chomp,
3, a soup to slurp,
And 4, a beer to swig.
B includes,
1, Something goopy to chomp,
2, something crunchy to bite,
3, something melty to slurp,
And 4, a beer to swig.
Moral of the story: a meal isn’t a meal without beer

HOW CAN THEY FINISH THIS ALL WITHOUT THROWING UP AND RUNNING AROUND NORMALLY JUST AMAZES ME
I mean, think of yourself running around to defend a whole world full of monsters and never get a break? You'd eat up as much as you can cause, god knows what'll be waiting for you.
By the time they reach that point, all that food is already processed and its energy used up with all the running, the jumping and the swinging.
I think it's also MH canon that certain people have a specific gene that makes them super strong and durable, hence why everyone can't just train their way to being a monster hunter. The drawback is that basically have a blast-furnace metabolism, so they're CONSTANTLY needing to chow down.

Definitely delicious looking food, though unfortunately World pans away from it too fast. Fortunately Iceborne keeps more food in the shot and we can see more get eaten. Nonetheless both chefs are great. Really opened my eyes to seeing food in videogames.
World's looks the almost the exact everytime, always the same meat and some form of skewers

Fun fact; the platter is shown for maybe one to two seconds longer if you get it made by your Handler before the scene changes to you eating!
I love how they always finish the food. Not just take a few bites and the rest of the food gets disposed of. Even a chocolate bar doesn't get finished in other games. The character just takes one bite and throws it away.

Ninja rations are surprisingly nutrient dense despite its small size. So those dango are probably enough for the hunters in Rise.
But yes. That's not enough variety. Rise should have more food in it. Like ramen, sushi, dorayaki, and such.

World is a top tier game no doubt
A lot of people are afraid to try it because of how much time most players put into it and they wonder if they'll even enjoy the gameplay but I feel like those that do try also stay.
I think it was a matter of the processing power of consoles that made the developers able to add more stuff and details.

Hell, the memories! I remember the late night hunts I did with a friend of mine and how we reminded each other to skip the cutscenes because it would only make us feel hungry. And yes, there were cases where we had to take a small break just so we can go and grab some grub.

I always wondered what the math would look like if you actually counted calories for a Hunter in this game. there's a day/night cycle that shifts as you continue to go on hunts, so we could probably calculate their daily intake too

World has def the best looking food in the series. Also, the Grand Appreciation Fest plate where you eat a lobster is a unique animation that is not shared with any other plate.

Nothing can beat the old cooking theme song and how your avatar just bops while waiting.
I noticed, when the palico is eating a meat skewer its always left behind and ends up rushing. But when its eating something from a bowl it finishes the meal the same time with the hunter.
The player character always go fuckin full Jewelry Bonney mode when they eat.
Granny kitty is so wholesome it makes my heart melt.
