    Hello Rodney. Great video. I am taking my family out to Lake Jennings mid May. I am fired up about trying to catch some big ones while camping there. I even got in touch with Sierra Slammers and got some jogs coming my way. Peace!

    I went to mammoth and I didn't even get bit with the mini jig. When do I change colors when fishing? Also Everytime I mini-jig, trying to keep a tight line makes me reel in the mini jig too fast. How do I fix this?

    you don't ever use a 1/4 ounce tube head to get it down deeper? I used to fish the 1/32 till I realize a 1/4 ounce body allows me to fish deeper water in lakes and deep holes in fast rivers...just wanted your thoughts

    So do you recommend using 1/32 oz. Jighead vs. The 1/16 oz. Jighead for trout fishing? And did you use any rig set up for this? Also one more thing, i gotta ask what rod , size and mod. You use cuz my broke in half when i hooked on a 8-10 lb. Trophy trout maybe I did something wrong never happened dough.

      I was using 2lb test, If you see other trout videos, I show my gear :D
      I heard 2 inch swimbaits and powerworms were the bait of choice most recently at Dixon lake
      Try trout cove, boat dock, and whisker bay . good luck

    Is it the technique you use or is lake that causes all these monster bows to be caught sorry for bad wording couldn't really think of a good way to put it

    • @RodneyMarquezFishingChannel
      @RodneyMarquezFishingChannel  Před 9 lety +1

      Out of all the lakes in San Diego , i really like lake Jennings. Since it is a clear lake I can really spot the trout and more specifally the bigger ones. There are 3 clear lakes ideal for spot fishing for trout : Jennings, Dixon, and Poway. All three produce quailty trout. I have caught bigger sized trout such as these ones. It is extremely hard to catch a monster and film it at the same time.
      thanks for watching !
      maybe next time I shall film a bigg trout at another lake :P

    Rod, which do you prefer: Powerbait Teasers or this new Sierra Slammer?

    • @RodneyMarquezFishingChannel
      @RodneyMarquezFishingChannel  Před 9 lety +1

      I prefer them both, I like the scent of the teasers but i like the quality of the Sierra slammers. On this day the bigger trout really liked the blanco. But like any day some fish will prefer different lures. In my opinion its all about the presentation and how you fish it :)
      THanks again for watching Joe!
