Vikings fans knew we were a good team making dumb mistakes, constantly turning the ball over. It’s brutal for Kirk to get an Achilles injury, team had potential to be special. Kirk was playing at an MVP level, prayers to Kirk.

Man, this whole Vikings team stepped up today, but it's hard not to be heartbroken. We lost Davenport again. We lost JJ for 4 critical weeks, and managed to push through and win every game he's missed so far. And now Kirk, the heart of our offense, is lost for the season just as we reach .500?
You can never count this team out, but this is the most a victory has hurt for a long time.
I feel this. I missed the game today and couldn't check the score until later. Got so excited to see that they'd won, but seeing that Kirk got hurt crushed me.
I was a Kirk-hater during his first season with us, but then that second season I started to like the guy. That Quarterback series made me an even bigger fan of Kirk.
The guy is such a competitor and so tough. Seems like a great all-around dude.
Also, it's so ridiculous to say this at 4-4, but it really felt like this team was looking like a team that could make a deep playoff run. They had some great wins last season, but this year they look different. They're more dangerous, disciplined, and they look like they want it more. Just as everything was coming together... We lose our QB.
Hey, you never know. That’s what we thought last year when we lost Jimmy just when the season was looking promising. Then Mr Irrelevant took us to the cusp of a SB(and would’ve gotten us there if he hadn’t gotten injured in the NFCCG imo). Maybe your season isn’t quite done yet

Hall's first series was about what you'd expect from a guy coming into the game cold after the starter got taken out for an injury. Second series, we saw a couple of good throws, one under pressure. Hope he balls out next week against the Falcons.

@@jimnfl7134 True. I noticed a lot of fans seem to think Akers is a significant upgrade over Mattison. Their numbers are roughly the same especially the last two games. Besides, if Akers was so valuable the Rams wouldn't have let him walk. Both guys are very solid RBs who need better O-line play.

I hate that so many people are writing off Jordan Love so quickly, give the man time to build chemistry with his team and gain experience. And for all of you who make the excuse that he sat behind Rodgers for 3 years and that he should be ready, you need to understand that watching and actually playing are two different things, it takes time for people to get acclimated to their environment especially on the field.

It's not all on the QB. He had huge shoes to fill. The entire team is not executing as they should on both sides of the ball.
The defence is decent..not enough sacks/ knockdowns , need to get better on 3rd downs to get off the field..the offence lost Baktiari..only fair at pass- blocking and not getting any run-game push up the middle..And a lot of pressure on Love results in erratic throws/ INTs..
Packers need to get in better synch offensively..recievers can't be dropping balls or running wrong routes..
I hope they bench Jordan and put Clifford in!!
As a Viking fan the worst possible scenario happened today. Cousins done for the season. And the team played better without J.J. playing. Good luck to the Lions. Win the division and win at least one playoff game. The Lion fans deserve that

As a Vikes fan, this win was bitter sweet given the Cousins injury, as he might be out pending the MRI. But it doesn't look good. Might be the Achilles, just like Rodgers. If so they need to either trade quickly for another QB or else bring one in from free agency. Preferably a mobile QB who can run as they won't be able to get someone who can pass as well as Cousins. People are going to soon realize how good Cousins was when they see us play without him.

@@YooperHatesOhioState it was a noncontact injury, so I doubt they will blame the Packers. But yeah, I think Kirk is likely out for the season based on this injury although the MRI hasn’t been confirmed yet he’s going to get an MRI later on and we’ll have an update.

I became a Vikings fan after the Minneapolis Miracle (as i am canadian), which is the year they signed Kirk Cousins. Ive always been his big supporter when my friends bashed on him for no reason and i truly think he made our team competitve these last 2 years. Our defense just didnt help him at all. BUT this year was different. Our defense was looking very good these last few weeks and Kirk was honeslty playing the best games of his career. And this happened. Im devasted. Just when our team was playing complimentary football, we lose our starting qb whos the heart of our offense. Its going to be really hard to see this team be competitive without cousins and this is truly truly sad. I will be depressed all week. Thank you for everything, Kirk. Praying for your speedy miraculous recovery.
Once I saw the Minnesota Vikings dismantled the 49ers, I knew the packers didn't have a chance. They are just not capable of putting up more than a couple touchdowns, but they'll be okay. Brian Flores and the defense is gonna have to hard carry for the rest of this season if Minnesota wants a shot. I don't doubt the offense can still play, it's just going to be harder because Kirk isn't an easy QB to replace.

Although I really expected it to be a rebuilding year that would total lots of losses racking up, yet had a hopeful optimism that maybe, maybe, maybe the team would be energized, it's quite different seeing it transpire in real time getting worse than the previous week! The Vikings and the Packers are on completely opposite trajectories and our Packers are going the absolute wrong direction. Not a packers fan. They have the youngest team in the nfl with major injuries or lingering injuries to the veteran players they do have. Yall need to figure out the oline because it's not helping your basically rookie QB. I know he's been in the nfl but this is his actual first year. Youre not going to see much chemistry with him and the 1st year and barely 2nd year recievers you have until next season, possibly the end of this one. You do have talent but there is little cohesion so it doesn't translate. Play calling could be better but I think people don't realize the execution of the plays make them look even worse. Love seems to play better in a 2 minute/hurry up offense. It's on the the coach to scheme around the strengths of the player and not stick a square peg in a round hole. I get the cant run hurry up all game but mixing up the tempo confuses and gasses the defense. With the offense consistently going 3 and out the defense will always struggle if it's not a top unit. I say to you packer fans, lose expectations. Do not expect anything from them, but look to see if there is growth and gain cohesion. Let things develop before writing anyone off and see how the team looks at the end of the year and address accordingly. You guys are in a rebuild, this year is just to see what you have and what you need. I read that if they cut that often injured LT and a couple other moves they would have around 60 million in cap space. Plus a first and 2 seconds in the draft. Thats a lot to work with, you'll be fine.

My Gawd the "Rodgers went 6-10 his first season" is from people who dont understand the game. U could tell Rodgers had talent. Everyone can see Love just doesnt have it. We knew that 4 years ago, and u guys said the same thing. He's had his chance, rocketed himself to Worst in League in almost ever stat and u guys still make excuses. This isnt Participation League and Love never earned the starting position, he's only there cuz management wont admit mistake drafting him that has sunk this franchise making 2 HOF leave.

MLF is a mediocre coach, Aaron was compensating for that. MLF was responsible for Aaron leaving. Bad decision to hire MLF and recruit Love. Time to fire MLF and the GM.
As a Packers fan… this was painful to watch. So many missed opportunities and poor decision making. Does Love know that single coverage likely yields better results???
