As a Lions fan and longtime Packers hater, they played really well. If there's one thing the Packers are good at, it's developing young QBs to take over the reigns from their previous legend.

The Green Bay Packers didn't just come to play, they outcoach and outhustled the Detroit Lions! I definitely got to give Jordan Love and Coach Matt LeFleur their props today!
Jared Goff and the Lions O-line folded like a lawn chair. He gave the ball away at least 3-4 times with picks and fumbles.
Green Bay's coaching knew how to use Jordan love. They didn't let him hold on to the ball forever, they had him dropping back and letting go of the ball immediately Taurus Jared Goff they had him just hanging around like a statue thinking that he had all day. Once the pass rush kept coming to the Lions Ben Johnson should have came up with quicker passing plays, three-step drops and things like that

I think he’s going to get better with more time in the pocket. It looks like an uncomfortable pocket, hurried, but making plays.

Lions' defence was exposed in week 7 vs the Ravens and has been a rumor ever since, with the exception of the Raiders game. Great game Packers.
The lions defense has been exposed for about a season and a half. I can't think of hardly any games they've held anyone under 30-35 points except for a couple scrub teams here and there.
I love how people are all the sudden discovering it lol.
The only reason we were 16-4 is because most of the time our offense puts up 35-40

@@gfraser92 Goff has had a couple rough games. But the fact of the matter is our defense has rarely held anyone to under 30 points in over a season and a half. In the meantime, our offense has been top 5 in the league the entire time.

Jordan Love has been playing a lot better over the last 4 weeks of the season. His accuracy is on point, and the defense put plenty of pressure on Jared Goff to make him a runner. Great game by Matt Lafluer and his coaching staff, and the Packers are still in the playoff mix with new sets of players
Wouldn’t say his accuracy is on point. He still underthrows passes. The first highlight is underthrown. But it has gotten much better.
And if the Wrs get more consistent with their catching
Accuracy on point? Man I don't know if we watched the same game, just in these highlights alone I counted 3 times Love would have been picked by most good secondaries. Lions just have a lackluster pass D, it's their main weakness besides poor RZ performance on both sides of the ball.
@@procheesy2355 The only really bad pass I remember was the one to Reed on third down, and that one was only six inches off target with pressure in his face. Every quarterback misses some times.
@@procheesy2355do you know how smart it was to under throw that ball; it allows for the WR to make a play and be ready instead of a potential drop or pick in double coverage, incredible ball by Love and then he threw an insane pass to Reed. Love is a good QB and nearly had an above 70 completion rating with having to throw the ball away and a perfect pass dropped.

Wow packers qb scouts are honestly incredible. To have 3 qbs in a row (Favre, Rodgers, Love) with absolute whips for arms and mobile enough to make plays with their legs is really incredible. Love might not have looked good the first half of the season but his arm talent he has is undeniable after this game. Green Bay QBs throw laser for bullets. I wish my Patriots had the ability to scout qb talent like their scouts do. Well done Love and Packers scouts
Hey, thanks. Love has gotten mostly criticism, but needs to play real games. His arm strength will get better; and compared to Geoff, his mobility is very good. Nobody is looking for another Farve or Rodgers, but maybe Love can become a much better than average quarterback.
As of today, neither the GB Packers are as weak, nor the Detroit Lions as strong as they seemed to be.
Neither Love is as bad, nor Goff as good as we have been led to believe.
Each team at this point in the season is already showing its true level.

People forget that Aaron Rodgers went 6-10 in his first year starting with a team that was a field goal away from going to the Super Bowl the year prior and had 2 well established pro bowl receivers in Driver/Jennings. I knew Jordan Love just had to put the pieces together and the team in general being so young needed to grow and gain experience. You could easily see the Love had the raw tools and potential but even sitting behind Arod those few years there is no substitute for live action. Love and Watson/Doubs/Reed could be a lethal combo if they keep growing like they’ve been showing these past few weeks.
The Packers jumped to an early 1st quarter lead, then played great defense the rest of the game. That helped them win this game.
The 53-yard bomb to Watson on the very first play might’ve been the key to that happening
Packers played great defense, really!? Total yards Lions 463 Packers 377, passing yards Lions 324 Packers 268, Rushing Yards Lions 140 Packers 109 First downs Lions 25 Packers 17, . The game was lost by poor coaching decisions and fumbles, going for it on forth down and fake punts leads to one touchdowns, lost fumble cost touchdown , not kicking fieldgoals cost 6 points.
@@larryjoe1357 the majority of Detroit’s yards were because Green Bay let them have everything underneath as they were up multiple scores and didn’t want to give up giant plays. But when the defensive possessions became important, they got to Goff and forced him to either fumble or make bad throws. Detroit kept failing on 4th down because the Packers defense stepped up in those moments.

As a Packers fan this game gave me hope. Packers had 17 players out and every excuse to phone it in. They didn't though, they strapped on those big dawg boots and brought the heat to the Lions. All around minus the still too many penalties, and few baffling playcalls and mistakes, it was a great game and showed me alot about my team. Matt Lafleur was playing with house money this week and he knew it and said F it we are coming in hot. Our kicker is a cause for major concern though.

Crazy that the Packers had a number of missed opportunities and errors (2 crucial drops, and that miss to Watson at the end), but still managed to beat the Lions handily.
That first quarter was another planet.
Matt LaFluer's best coached game, Jordan Love's best game ever and teams are figuring out that if you apply a lot of pressure on Goff, he'll turn it over. Lions got away with some sloppy play last week, but now it's time to address those issues. And not go for it on 4th down from your own 23.

This season shows a lot of promise as a rebuilding season.
Out of 11 games now played, only in one game did the defense allow more than 25 points, and that was the first game against the Lions (34). That’s one of the most respectable defensive seasons they’ve put together in years.
The offense obviously is recalibrating, but it’s a very young offense, and they have a lot of growing to do, and they’re already able to put together a game like this. Love is becoming more comfortable under center, receivers like Doubs and Watkins are showing what they’re capable of, and our running game just can’t be stopped, whether it’s Jones or Dillon.
If we don’t make the playoffs this year, as long as we stay healthy, I put us back on top of the division next year, for sure!
Who saw that coming? Strange season - any time one of the Super Bowl contenders picks up some momentum they suddenly crash and burn. Packers transformed out of nowhere - both defence and offense putting in a huge shift. If they carry on like that they might just salvage their campaign.

There is no one miracle cure for the Lion's problems, but the lack of a pass rush is of primary concern. I was pushing for an edge to bookmark Hutchinson on the other side before the trade deadline. We have been having troulbe with mobile QB's since forever, and leaving an escape route on the opposite side of Hutch is not helping. Our O line is one of the best, and we have a very competent duo at RB with Montgomery and Gibbs. We have LaPorta, St. Brown, Jamo, and Reynolds to catch passes. But on defense we have Hutchinson and Branch. Hutch is getting double teamed and held on almost every play and Branch has not been able to be effective because the D line can't stuff the line and we have no secondary that can defend against a good passer. I believe an elite edge opposite Hutch would be a huge improvement to our pass rush, and therefore our overall ability to harass the passer. Allowing a QB 3-6 seconds to find an open receiver is asking for trouble. And the Lions have got that. They've got trouble.
Nice to see Dan Campbell's aggressive approach finally show it's negative side. That aggression is what took the Packers out of the playoffs last year and it felt good to see it sit the Lions down today!

Dan Campbell was over aggressive in this game trying to go for it on 4th down. His offense 0-5 on 4th down, the defense once again giving up big plays in the passing game. This Lions has been eaten up for dinner on thanksgiving
Terrible play calling. The fake punt was the stupidest thing I've seen in a while. Just WTH were they thinking?!

Plus they had the ball in packers territory on 4th down and chose not to kick a field goal. Bad idea. Even with Goff's fumble, the game was still 23-14. No fake punt, give the defense the benefit of doubt and they stop the next packers drive. Still 23-14, kick that field goal make it 23-17. Last minute touchdown 24-23 lions pull off a comeback win. That fake punt idea was beyond stupid and was the worst mistake in this game

The Packers win against the Lions for the first time since September 2021 and their first Thanksgiving game since 2011. All of a sudden the Packers can possibly sneak in to the playoffs #GoPackGo
They have a really good chance, maybe they even win out if they upset KC, they play a ton of average to bad teams I wouldn’t be surprised if they go 10-7 maybe even 11-6

@packernation126 ,I'm thinking the same ,but we might actually have a chance to beat Minnesota, they're without Cousins, it's the Bears that worry me, because being division rivals they can easily return the favor just like Packers did to the Lions, but even if we make the playoffs I don't see these Packers going anywhere unless they stay consistent.

Impressive win considering how many key injuries the Packers had. And basically being 2nd year, rookie receivers and tight ends playing. Love still has to work on his deep ball accuracy. But lately he’s been playing great, with good decision making. He certainly has great arm talent and can throw lasers.Also has good mobility. I think everyone on this offense will only get better, they’re so young

I'm very proud of my Packers because I was really honestly thinking that they're going to lose this game because Lions is a better team than the Packers this year because Claire's I keep getting injured on the Packers list and Jordan love is still growing as the lead quarterback for the Green Bay Packers plus the young wide receivers are still growing and Jordan love is looking for that one top wide receiver. The Packers keep up the good work they will be in the playoffs but they have to win every game if they lose one more game I just don't know it depends on our division and other teams. If the Packers make it to the playoffs to me that will be like for them going to the super bowl. Packers did a well-designed of this game of them defeating the Lions they did a better job of coming up with schemes and better plays. Keep up the good work Packers and keep your heads up high don't read up on the media or what other people say about you you guys are still a young team especially you Jordan love don't let anybody get you down because I know some packer fans through the NFL Network saying the kick Jordan love out of the Packers. We have to give your love a little more time just like Aaron Rodgers when he started his rookie year and his first season and if you can pair Aaron Rodgers status of his first rookie season in the NFL and Jordan loves first season of the games that he's playing so far they're not too far apart.

Jordan Love surprises me every so often...but he surprised me this whole game. Packers had legitimate opportunities to score 50 this game. He showed that he actually has some potential. And oh, AJ Dillon seems to be improving in small increments to what I thought he'd be a bit sooner.

Oh, it feels good to see Packers playing good. Defense needs to adjust some points - most of the Lions' passes were to wide open receivers - but it was awesome to see the fumbles, including the one that led us to a touchdown. Jordan Love played so fine!! That first pass was awesome! Let's go, Packers!!!

Great win, but Jordan Love sliding just out of FG range when he could have easily ran another ten yards, maybe even to the end zone, drove me freaking nuts.
Couple things here: lions going for it on a 4th & 5 from their 30 yard line, was campbell cuckoo! Ball security is now a major issue for all lions.
Packers Platinum pass protection is real!! The Packer pass rush was impressive early, creating turnovers, which goff is known for, if I remember correctly.
I hope this is a glimpse into the Jordan Love era. They looked pretty good.
As a lions fan…the packers did their thing and got it done hats off to the cheese heads and Jordan love for really coming into his own and outplaying Goff who’s really been struggling these past few weeks, we destroyed them in their home so they just returned the favor! Gotta love some good friendly competition!
