    This is my first day learning Portuguese, with zero knowledge of the language, and this was easy to follow along! Such a great method for beginners. Muito obrigada!

    This video is AMAZING for Portuguese learners. Your language strategies are VERY EFFECTIVE due to constant repetition, questions and answers, drawings, hand and facial gestures, as well as screen text.

    I am a beginner in Portugese and this is perfect for me . I must confess however , that I am at a higher level in Spanish which helps considerably because the similarity between the two languages is striking . It is mostly the pronounciation that is different. I can see now that the Portugese use of "SHH" sounds is what makes it sound somewhat like Russian ! Again , thank you for this .

    Por que o restaurante "cá" fora e não "fica" fora? Obrigado.

    • @Portuguesewithadelina
      @Portuguesewithadelina  Před rokem +2

      Normalmente não dizemos "fica fora". Estar dentro ou fora de casa é sempre relativo à posição da pessoa que está a falar. Neste contexto, eu digo que a Ana (e nós) estamos "cá fora" (out here).

    Ana só podia pedir meia porção de bacalhau, porque certamente não estava com fome depois das vogais volumosas do português que havia engolido até então. 😄

    Bom dia, Adelina. Tenho uma outra pergunta. Qual é a diferença entre broa e pão? Ontem, fui a uma padaria portuguesa em Toronto para comprar pão de milho mas chamaram-lhe "broa de milho" e não "pao de milho". Porquê?

    • @Portuguesewithadelina
      @Portuguesewithadelina  Před rokem

      Olá @ogator! Broa costuma ser um pão mais denso porque é feito de farinha de milho ou duma mistura de outras farinhas. Ou seja, uma broa pode ser um pão mas nem todo o pão é broa!
