  • Picture talk in Portuguese. Start learning Portuguese today with another easy listening practice FOR BEGINNERS. Maybe this is your first lesson, maybe not. In any case, this easy slow Portuguese listening practice with a children's book will allow you to practice lots of vocabulary as well as refresh loads of simple grammar structures and phrases.
This technique is called Comprehensible Input whereby the learner should be able to understand most of what is being said despite them not understanding all the words and grammar rules in it. It's theorized that by using this technique as often as possible, one can acquire the language and not forget it (much as we learn our native languages) rather than relying on memorization of words and the rules.
My hope is that at least this way, learning Portuguese is a little more fun for you :D

I learnt the word “gancho” reading Saramago’s Memorial do Convento. Took me five months to read the book. Thank you for making such useful and practical content. There’s always something to learn and I need to feel more confident describing things. Know I know how to enhance my Portuguese studies.

Yes, this is a fun way to learn. It's a technique based on how we learn our own native languages when we are babies!

Perhaps the three jars on the shelf are cake sprinkles? (Como se diz “sprinkles” in Português? Salpicos de bolo?)

É bem possível! ^_^ Em Português não há uma boa tradução para "sprinkles". Há quem chame "granulado de açúcar"/"granulado colorido" etc ou "rolinhos de açúcar". Também há quem diga "sprinkles" mesmo,
