May I ask why the plural form was used in the phrase "eleições legislativas"? Thanks.
That's because we're electing 230 MP's (deputados) in the legislative elections. Another way to think about it is that the election is divided into 22 election circuits or circles (18 districts plus the 2 island districts plus 2 Portuguese absentee/emigrant circuits) so it sounds
natural to refer to the election in the plural. I hope that helps :D
