@@francarrey7501 The irony of her words... Clark Kent is the same man without using his superpowers as he is when he is Superman. He knows that she is lying to herself. She is attracted to his cape ie powers and fame, just as she is attracted to Lex Luther's money, power and fame.
I remember this episode and it sucks that she tells him that she's in love with him and he tells her he can't and next thing we see is her engaged to Luthor. Gross!
He points out that it doesn't make any difference for her to wear a robe unless it's lined with lead. I might point out that gown probably isn't either. What does that mean? That she might as well not bother wearing THAT?
i would think crossing his arms gave him a stronger, tougher, more heroic appearance.. although its probably the Superman stance in general on Lois&Clark.
This is such a failiour for Clark. He must feel soo sad. First he tell her he loves her and she says she doesnt love him, then she tells him she does love him - even though she think it's to someone else. =(
Ouch !! So this is what being Superman must b like ! The love of ur life does not love u but ur celebrity counterpart... n that statement Lois " If u were n ordinary man.." !! Didn't u do enough already :/ :/
Princess is right, it was part of this version's facade. By crossing his arms he showed off his physique which, as his mother pointed out in the first episode, helped distract from the face and set him further apart from his real identity.
yeah admitting he always x-raying her in such a way, he is entitled to that to people just because he can. by that he also admits he doesn't care about people's (or in this case Lois') privacy at all. what a douchebag move for Superman.
Nah. He doesn't use it all the time. It's not automatic. So he doesn't see through her clothes whenever he sees her. I think he's being a bit snippy because he's already in pain. Remember, he already told her as Clark that he is in love with her and she rejected him. Now, here as Superman, he knows why she wants to see him. (She told Clark to tell Superman she wanted to talk.) She's going to swear she loves him (she does), and that she would love him even if he were ordinary (she doesn't since he's Clark, Clark is ordinary and she doesn't love Clark). Standing there, his feelings are hurt because she's going to confirm what he already knows - she loves Superman because of what Superman can do. Clark wants to be loved for Clark.
@@margomckaine78 this just makes me want to write a Superman fan fic where Kal-El was not alone when he was sent to Earth to save him from the Doom of Krypton. I've learned that, according to canon, he was betrothed at birth, presumably to the daughter of a family friend. I know the girl's name was Zara, but that's it. I can fill in the blanks from there. I always thought it was so unfair that Kal had to go through life without even one of his own people by his side so he would not feel so alone in his new world. This fan fic will rectify that unfairness.
This is a decade late but I just took it as him saying that there's no point putting on something to cover up what she's wearing since he'd still be able to see it anyway
I don't know that he IS mad at her. Hurt, of course, disappointed, sure. But I think he knows that she's being completely honest with him - both as Clark and as Superman - and so he responds the same way. Add to that, it would be selfish of him to let her pursue a relationship with just Superman; she thinks it's love, but he understands it's infatuation, because he doesn't change who he is when he goes from Supes to C.K. Cape on or off, he's still the same person, just in a slightly different package. He's got too much integrity to let her do that, to play that game with her - it's not who he is. Instead, he has to make the line clear, so that she can move on and find whatever - and whoever - will make her truly happy.
They both made a mess. Lois felt for Superman cause he was different, not because of his power or because he was a celebrity, but bc he was a different man that helped people and sacrificed himself, he wasn't like the others and till Clark mention his feelings for her she ever consider him cause she loved him already and he as a friend was safe and easier. She was jealous of him before and at the wedding she assumed she loved Clark. She accepted marry Lex for the same reason that she felt for Superman, Lex was powerful but he was intelligent and interesting and he actually proposed to her and made sure she was in a dark place to say yes. People saying that it was because he was rich and Superman was famous is incoherent with the character of Lois. And then the brilliant Clark lie to her that he didn't love her when she was ready to assume. Well, that was the drama that we needed to keep the sexual tension between them alright 😅😅😅
@orlandobabe Well, it's true, lead is the only thing he can't see through. But yeah, it does make you wonder if he looks at her through her clothing all the time, heh.
She was in love with the Superhero, not Clark or who he really is. He wanted Lois to love him for him not just because he is Superman & I know Lois didn’t know at the time.
My guy what? Are you talking about Smallville Lana? Because if you are then that makes zero sense considering Lois in Smallville fell in love with Clark first.
Hmm... Because he wasnt superman yet. But even in the book.. Lana loved clark.. But lois loved superman and after came to love clark. So the person above you is kinda right.
I think that makes Lois the woman of his life, that she fell in love with both parties. Only with a look at Superman, and for Clark she builds a beautiful, mature and respectful love. And speaking of Smallville, that's why Lana didn't work with Clark, she loved the man, but as much as she tried, she couldn't get the hero part of him. He had to resort to an unknown thing that was dangerous because he wanted to have powers like him.
" if you were an ordinary man living an ordinary life without powers I would love you the same"
Superman : BUT YOU DONT BITCH!!! THATS THE POINT!!
💀
Whoa 😳 buddy ..
Que rude aff desnecessario
Lol. Yup she rejected him as Clark.

Poor Clark that must hurt him.
It must have felt like a slap across the face
"Let me just put on a robe"
"Unless its lined with led lois its just a waste of time" *looks down*
"I guess so" 😘😂🤣
"I wish I could, Lois". Ouch.
ouch that had to hurt Clark…

Superman's bravest moment, I suspect.
Okay that was kinky, he suggested that she doesn't waste her time putting on a robe.
i would think crossing his arms gave him a stronger, tougher, more heroic appearance.. although its probably the Superman stance in general on Lois&Clark.
he doesn't have pockets whats he supposed to do just let em hang on his side ?
Gracias!! Sigue asi!!

Exato parabéns pelo comentário ponderado 👋
I feel bad for him,if I was near as pretty as Lois.....I would still love him =)
Wait...soo....he admits that he's x-raying her too see her naked and she is like "oh..right" as if she just assumes he always does it? hahaha

Pueden subir la serie completa en español
I honestly could care less. I made a dumb comment I admit, but thanks for being such a nice person.
Unless it lined with Led...what a pervert 😔
Can anyone explain to me why this Superman always crossed his arms in this series?
The_HBK_23 it's a sign of masculinity... Lol
To show power and confidence so he's not shy and uncomfortable like he is as Clark.
0:30 Dude no, those that mean that you are looking???? No
Wow, he probably is mad at her but he shouldn't have hurt her like that
How'd he hurt her?? He told her the truth

I can't help but to be mad at Superman in this scene and it's completely unreasonable to be mad at him.

There is one scene where he did
Ouch poor clark, but he shouldve gone with it a bit, not just hurt her like that
She was in love with the Superhero, not Clark or who he really is. He wanted Lois to love him for him not just because he is Superman & I know Lois didn’t know at the time.
This is why I've always liked Lana better than Lois. Lois is in love with the hero but Lana is in love with the man.
