The entire stadium was amped up - student section, lower level, upper level and even the suites. The press box was shaking! The Gamecocks would go on to win 35-7. Facts bro. This was my freshman year in the student section shown in the video. This was BY FAR the craziest and most hype event game I've ever been honored to witness and right up close and personal. The times of Jadeveon Connor Shaw Duke Samuels and those boys three straight 11-2 seasons!!! 💯✊🏾🙏🏽😭

I am a diehard lifelong Tennessee fan who has traveled to many away games.( I was at Carolina in 2014 for the Vols amazing comeback win) Sandstorm before kickoff is far and away the coolest thing I have saw in any stadium. Hell it got me pumped up just watching your fans.. You guys own that shit! Go Vols..

I'm a Georgia fan, so naturally you can imagine my reaction to the game. And yet I chose to watch this video because I think Sandstorm captures why I love college football. Students going absolutely nuts is one of my favorite things about the sport, and that is why I don't mind watching a video of Carolina. What you guys do over there is epic.
Never get tired of watching this! I mean...this song is incredible and the way the crowd goes insane before every game is unbelievable. I always cheer for South Carolina...all the way from Colorado...and this is part of the reason why.

Yes, me too as a 21yo freshman in this student section. I lost my voice and nearly passed out since i was drunk as hell and didn't drink water. It was great!!!!!!!! The best game experience ever by far.

Sadly, unless Beamer turns us around these atmospheres will become less often experienced. Spurrier plateaued us and Muschamp rock bottomed us.

Holy crap I was in that student section working security for this game. Most of the security along the bushes and in the student section were volunteering from Shaw AFB. They had a military homecoming at halftime that still gives me goosebumps when I watch it. Witnessing 85,000+ fans of both teams all cheering together was amazing.
I just got the wildest chills watching this and remembering how loud it was in the student section. Let’s get back to this!!!

I will never forget this game. In 40 years of watching college football I had never seen a more hostile and intimidating stadium that what I saw at Williams-Brice that night. And South Carolina lit us up for 35. I think Georgia lost that game before the ball was even snapped. It was surreal.

I was in the middle of that student section and can confirm, you could feel it in the air that night. Was one of the most fun experiences i’ve ever had. We ended up losing to LSU a week or two later lol.
This was my very first college football game I attended and man the energy that night was electrifying

Great video and always stuns me how big Sandstorm is as a song! Many know it, and it has statuses like this one here, probably billions have heard it. Guy who made it, Darude, was a teenager living in Finland in a rural area in the 90's, who did electronic music at his home somewhere in the middle of the woods and made the song all by himself, somehow making it go worldwide

Admittedly, sometimes I do have a hard time being classy when discussing stuff with other fanbases, sometimes even with Carolina fans, but it's something I'm trying to get better at, because stuff like this is just a fun rivalry we have and not life and death. I truly do respect this tradition and passion for your team that you guys have. You guys have a better atmosphere at every game than we do in a lot of games, I think. With not having much of a history until now, that's very impressive.

GA fan sitting next to me said just before kickoff...."this game is over, my Dawgs don't stand a chance." 7 minutes into 1st quarter it was Carolina 21, GA 0. Atmosphere was the best I've ever experienced in person.
I'm a Gamecock fan, but an aunt gave me a free ticket to the Clemson vs. GT game. During halftime after the Tigers band performed they started playing the Carolina game on the video monitor. I have to give Tigers fans this, they hate Georgia as much as we do because they were pulling hard for the Gamecocks (actually waved their towels to Sandstorm... That surprised me)

If I’m not mistaken there was another factor that led to making this game so hype. Besides that it was a huge game early in the season at a time when we had guys like Clowney flying after the qb, and both teams were top 10.
I think they did one of those military surprises. This family was on the field and they video conferenced in the dad who was overseas with the military. He gave a recorded message and the family was all emotional and stuff. Then they said to direct attention to the corner of the end zone and he came walking out. The stadium went nuts. Then it transitioned straight into sandstorm. It was an awesome crescendo to get people hyped. We may have beaten any team in the country that night.

I am a Steelers fan, and I never thought there would be a greater foootball atmosphere than the Heinz Field crowd on an opponents 3rd down when "Renegade" sounds through the stadium and everybody is fired up. I'm not so sure anymore...
PrisonOfMinD85 Haha you're a funny dude :D We just had the both worst seasons in recent franchise history and if our fans would be "bandwagon fans", we would have seen empty crowds in Heinz Field like in any other stadium with bandwagon fans missing success.

I was there and no comment I could make would do it justice! Only the Alabama game in 2010 or the Ole Miss night game when Ole Miss was ranked # 4 wound have come close. What an atmosphere! By the way Clowney went nuts on the Georgia O-line and game was pretty much over after the first quarter.

FSU grad here that lives in Charleston SC. I go to the game everytime USC plays the gators at home and this is by far the coolest stadium chant I have ever witnessed. What a atmosphere. Go Noles!
