    I like Dr Chris, he is always Frank & honest, which is refreshing in this overhyped industry where anything new is always over exaggerated, and hyped which leads to unrealistic expectations and disappointed patients who feel ripped off.

    i have 2 questions . firstly i have a really short philtrum but my top teeth dont show when i talk unless i smile i also have braces on to fix my overbite its really confusing but in order to show more teeth should i get top lip filler to do that? im also am thinking about having filler in the depressor septi muscle of the nose to fix the droopyness, will that lift or affect my top lip in anyway?

      @DrTimPearce  Před rokem +4

      If over treated yes you could compromise effective use of the mouth as it is as we know a muscle relaxant.
      The dose has to remain small and strictly superficial.
      If there was too much relaxation, because the dose is small and in a highly active area the effect shouldn’t be for too long a period, but everyone is different and depending on the dose used. Possible weeks but with over use of the mouth muscle use should return quicker.

    • @DrTimPearce
      @DrTimPearce  Před rokem

      It’s understandable that you are worried. It’s a very scary situation to be in for you as a patient. But let me try to reassure you. The chance of it happening again is very low. We can’t say for sure of course because many factors will have been aligned for it to have happened.
      Explain to your practitioner what happened and where. The practitioner can have a very thorough look at your lip too. To reduce the risk more so a cannula could be used.
      We wish you luck in your future treatments.

    Learned from experience, avoid doing botox on the bottom of the face in general!!! So riskyyy… unlesss you’ve done trial and it worked for you… you need a really good injector and someone who knows the anatomy of your face… work’s different on everyone … but the chances of going wrong is more than forhead and top of the face… Personally I would not touch the bottom of the face… I’ve tried different muscles and had different/skilled injectors
    I like both botox and fillers
    Fillers might be more expensive but you see results right away , sure it takes a couple of weeks to settle down, also you can reverse it right away!! Botox if it goes wrong you gotta wait months ! And time goes very slowly specially if you got a crooked smile
    I’m not implying one’s better than the other, just sharing my experience
    Having a good injector is key!

    Tried the lip flip once, the practical side effects were too much for me. I didn’t like not being able to grip a straw or cutlery without looking weird and I couldn’t speak properly while smiling because my lips covered my mouth. I couldn’t even spit toothpaste, thankfully it didn’t last as long as Botox does elsewhere.

      Same here. Had Daxxi injected last week (8 units) and I can't wait for it to be gone. Can't whistle, can't rinse my mouth without water dripping down my chin, can't drink properly, unless my lower lip presses against glass firmly and it just feels weird and I think I look weird doing this things. But my boyfriend doesn't think so. Except for the water dripping down when rinsing, haha. And, hahaha, forget about BJ 😂😈

    I want to know who I could see in Santa Monica or LA,Ca who would B as careful with fillers for woman over 60ty who still look fairly young & wish to keep looking younger. Or look as I feel inside. Still a big kid! No lie!!
    Anyhow I'm am not rich, but would like to get a really good ice & lip person so I can get the best look for my face at an affordable price! I know peeps like Julie Horne in Sweden is very careful about how she does lips. I would love to find someone who works as consciously as she does in LA. I live in Santa Monica, but can get around. Thanks if U can direct me to someone in the know I can trust to not ruin or damage my face..
    I am so afraid to just pick someone off the internet & by reading yelp!
    Please help me find someone who will do it right!
    I want long lasting results & lips that fit my present face, with a bit of sexy edge included!

      @@DrTimPearce I shall Dr. Tim. I am so afraid to see anyone for anything, because so many don't know the all the details of the face how each face is different as to where things lie. Some do the old 1 size fits all & that scares the livin daylights out of me!!
      Will checking her out on these sites ensure me she will take the time to do it right & inject slowly & take into consideration I am old & dirt poor?? I can't afford to do something like this often & I worry about the filler migrating in the face to places it shouldn't B & remaining in there like above the lips.
      R there any new types of fillers safer then what is out there now?
      How about your own fat? Does it not last when it is placed into your lips, & other spots U need restoration?
      What about the bands on my neck. Mine R really big!1 I was thinking Botox might relax them, but fear if not done correctly it could make swallowing difficult!
      I once had a doctor use botox for my bladder & damn off he didn't use too much & I had to B catheterized because I couldn't peep anymore! I believe he use 20ty shots of Botox. To me I thought it was too much or over-kill, but I'm not a doctor so I don't know!
      So I hate to lock the barn door after the cows got out so to speak!
      I will check her out.
      I hope she is not to far from where I am & I can afford what she thinks I should do.
      Thanks so much. I shall if I can keep U posted on what happens..
      I would love to B someone they use for examples of doing much older woman's faces..
      Maybe I will get to do that.
      Also if U can let me know what your thoughts R about doing my own fat in my face, lips etc..

      Everyone has their own preference when it comes to fuller and if they’re been using that brand for a number of years it’s because they can accurately gauge how it will act in the skin.
      Consultations are very important. Make sure you feel safe with your practitioner before going ahead with treatment.
      Fat deposits aren’t something we offer so couldn’t really accurately comment on. Again visit someone who does and get a consultation and only you can really weigh up the pros and cons for each method.
