I save Sprints entirely for cruise missile defense. They’re just too expensive to throw-away as counters to Zeniths and planes. Anything big enough to have an array of them is also going to have CIWS, and CIWS does the job against Zeniths and planes just fine (most of the time), but cruise missiles HURT and I’ve seen them get through clouds of bullets. I’ve even seen Sprints miss cruise missiles before. :|
I've used sprints on Zeniths and planes, though it is like burning money. Sometimes it just depends on the design of the ship, its importance, the situation, and how much damage you're willing to take. Usually flares and CIWS/AK100s are enough but sometimes you' get in desperate situations. I equip sprints on almost anything that isn't a direct attack vessel (missile carriers, aircraft carriers, defense frigates, tankers, etc.). But I'll also throw them on any light or heavy cruiser, even ones I intend to rock up into battle with simply because cruisers are big targets for planes, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles..
Hi Caracal, I really like the content of your videos it's very helpful and you explain things well. But please consider making adjustments to the volume because the in-game sounds make it difficult for me to hear what you are saying. Keep up the good work :-)
The palash does defend against missiles, its hard to see since the exploding missile covers it but it does happen, this is also annoying since a missile that got diverted by a flare will also trigger it. The useage of the tool is not quite apparent to me, maybe it is not useful maybe we need to find what it does best.
Pro tip : Dump the Palash The thing only stops 2 shots before becoming dead weight in a battle. Just replace it with a Zenith, ASO or extra armor, or even escape pods.
Palash is great especially for small agile ships. It weights almost nothing and rearms in battle after a while and can save you from that one big shell you couldnt dodge. And on bigger ships its usefull to protect weakspots where armor placement is not possible, like radar, missile tubes and such.
Palash is awesome. It works against everything, not just SRMs like flares, and it isn't stupid expensive to resupply like PD missiles are. Granted, they don't work great against tac and cruise missiles, but few things are 100% against those.
yes but if you deploy more you increase your chance to spoof the missile. I didnt understand why real military aircraft deploys so many flares till I played this game
@@sibaltas Why so many, isn't really followed by real chance. its just because in real life one missile hit is usually enough to get killed. Better to waist all flares and live on then risk to little of them and ... maybe live.
I think you misunderstood the meaning of active protection system. It doesn't mean that it doesn't need to be activated it means that it needs to get activated by something to protect the ship in contrast to passive protection systems which only need to exist to protect the ship (armor)
It's nice to see short concise videos on this game for once. I don't need someone explaining to me what flares do for 40 minutes.
Thanks.

I shoot 2 at cruise missiles. Spam for nukes

Love the highfleet videos, excellent work. One addition, I have witnessed palash at work vs. zenith.

Thanks for the feedback. The newer videos (posted after August 12th) should have better audio separation between the ingame audio and microphone.
Dude super good channel & videos keep it up!

Thank you for the guide bro.

In my experience you don't need to waste all your flares for a missile. Just one press seems to do the trick

Usually a single burst will do it but it depends on how many flares you have equipped on a ship. Sometimes a second or third pop is needed.

why tf is the APS against shells and not missiles, it should either be both or the other way around lol.
It actually is for both.
Flares are for boys, "BRRRT THAT MISSILE" is for men
Try to brrrt a ballistic missile
@@imadrifter thats what T7 interceptors are for
Nope, flares are infinitely lighter than having 30mil plus ammo and your shots go for enemy ships instead of missile that probably misses anyway.
