For the record: Iâm not going through a breakup! Iâm just a lazy writer and ex-slandering jokes are easy.
I bet they laughed toođ
Please do not ruin our head cannon. We want an ex of yours we can badmouth.
On second thought, make that head canon. If you want to do a head cannon project, you go right ahead, that sound like fun.
Correct me if I am wrong, as I own no high heels, but wouldn't standing on your tip toes be as effective as wearing high heels, minus the extra material they provide under the toes...? đ€
@ellen cameron Simone could also make a head mounted brain interface activated camera and get Canon to sponsor it.
@@jonathansawatsky7506 It's more stable to wear the heels
Simone wearing high heels while standing on a stool to water the plant she painstakingly designed a chandelier for is so remarkably on brand.
Not like she can just... lower the plamp
@@natemartin9283 but.. plamp shoes...
I thought she was going to come up with a watering system for it too then I realized there wasnât enough time left in the video. And then the high heels came out.
@@madrid1979 Yep I was like "next video: watering system ! what heels? On no Simone it sound like a bad... welp, went about as expected"
extendo can
Plamp needs a pulley system. Like old candle chandeliers.
Simone: âits just a prototype, dont get attachedâ
Also her * proceed to kiss the prototype and sanding it down *
next micro-project, add a pulley system so that you can lower the Plamp down to standing height for easy watering
This one!
Yep. I concur.
Or just smoke enough of the plant to get high enough to reach it.
Also then as part of the pulley system, you may end up with a weight-bearing rope within easy reach of a sword slash, perfect for dramatically crushing your enemies under a falling plamp
Perfect!
This video has everything you'd expect from Simone: silly idea that's actually not, clumsiness, self-deprecation, prototype that turns out to be final, sexual innuendos, the infamous doggo, awkward poses (and silences), all sorts of tools and robots, and just enough lack of common sense to water a plant by standing on a stool with high heels even though it's not helping. Perfect!
I should turn this into a to do list and just tick through them as I film videos
@@simonegiertz maybe do that for your next vid
On a bar stool... in high heels.... AFTER using a bona fide ladder to put it up there to begin with... Classic
@@simonegiertz Make it a physical switch board.
@@simonegiertz I'm hoping you come up with an idea none of us commentteers mentioned đ. However if it does turn into a voting or list thing, I like the pulley system idea better than automatic pumping and tubes.... Electric line permitting.....
"You're supposed to do this by weight, but I'm gonna do it by eyeball volume."
That's how you know you've gone Imperial with your measurements. Nothing's a tenth of anything, it's just different sized containers.
Honestly I hope someday Simone gets to have her own housewares manufacturing gig (if she wants) bc every time there's a video I'm like yeah thats absolutely a solution to a problem I have, where do I buy??
i've got incredible news for you my friend
"Plamp part 2: watering solutions"
Most gardeners: Irrigation tubing!
Simone: *overengineers a watering can.*
I need that second part! I mean, the world is not ready for mainstream Plamps until we solve the watering issues.
I demand a pulley system to raise and lower plamp for watering.
Hudson sprayer on the ground with a 10 foot hose. Easy.
I was thinking this as well. Though, perhaps, put a Giertz Robotics twist on it?
A watering can with a long giraffe neck and a hand pump
I love the plamp! The whole video I was thinking "But how will she water it?!" and my worries felt justified when it turned out the answer was 'with difficulty'.
Now she'll need to invent a watering solution âș
Easy fix: replace the fake-looking plant with a fake plant.
I started crying laughing when she dropped the watering can but just said "oops" haha so wholesome~
Don't give her an idea for a new robot ! :)
I was also concerned- time for a new invention!
I love how she has like 40 buckets of that one shade of paint for all her projectsđ
I love how you turned a small annoying thing ("I don't have an other wood stick in the good size") to something so positive ("It's my favourite !") Definetly a life lesson x) Love you Simone !
hold on a second i have to water my chandelier
so, it's basically hydropower?đ€
*plamp
Be lazy... there's electrics, you can branch off and run a pump. So just program your chandelier to drink as needed.
"I mean he's fine but he's bland and he's just not bright enough to justify turning him on very often, so bottom line is... he reminds me too much of my ex"

I had to sip some tea to that. Shit was too good LOL

The SHADE is real.

Dry humour!
Next Project...."An Easier Way To Water Your Plamp." You never fail to make me laugh Simone! We are definitely blessed to have you in our lives... Oh and I love the Savage Industries Apron!
Did somebody say "Project Plamp Pump"? The campaign to save the mad genius from her sketchy-AF high heeled antics begins...
Or alternatively "At one point or another, we've all said to ourselves 'I really wish my high heels were higher,' so I invented Higher Heels, with adjustable heels that extend up to three feet. No, they're not repurposed 36" ratcheting bar clamps/spreaders screwed onto the backs of my shoes. You're eyes deceive you. They're Higher Heels. For when you need to assert your dominance through fashion."
How about an over-engineered watering can that extends to be the height of her ceiling and pumps water out the front/top instead of relying on slow, inefficient gravity.
How about a reverse well with an elaborate pulley system?
How about stop watering that plamp before it starts saying, "Feed me Seymone."
When you're looking at it, it's a Plamp. When you have to water it, it's a Plight
Your Plamp is a beautiful unique creation.
Now you just need a Plamp watering device. đ
My one thought this whole video was âhow is she going to water itâ and then the end of the video was just a gem. Maybe that can be your next side project! A solution to watering the plamp!
That's exactly what I was thinking! Project opportunity đĄđȘŽđż
Iâd put it on a pulley system.
@@justjules327 I thought so too, a video about making a pulley system for the plamp.
@@RehavamRezaTjokronegoro Oh, oh - and motorizing it and making it automatic!
Another Idea may be using a small plastic or rubber tube and running it behind one of the dowels up to the pot then using a syringe to push water to the top of the pot. She would just need to make sure to push air through afterward in order to prevent water from rushing back out of the tube. Or using an Archimedes screw-type structure but that would need to be bigger and probably need a lot more critical thinking than I am willing to give to this comment.
I cannot wait for the inevitable watering system that is made for this. Also it should 100% be called a plantern.
THIS WINS
I was thinking the same thing.
Plantern is brilliant!
I think technically a plantern would be portable (which I definitely now need).
This has got to be the most Jenna Marbles-esque video of yours I have seen so far. Plamp is a brilliant idea, and I absolutely love your sense of humour.
The comments about the lamp not being manufactured in the US, or yourself as you measured in Swedish, really made me laugh so much. And the cycle continues... đ€Ł
Simone when on high heels: "Don't laugh at me"
Also Simone: drops a watering can 5 seconds later.
"It looks so good it doesn't look real! It's like fake boobs but a plant!"
Literally crying XD
Itâs a âPlanternâ lantern+planter. 100% would buy this
Thatâs waaay better than my pick - đ lant
Me too!
I don't know why I am not buying one now.
Iâm so glad someone else thought of âPlanternâ too!!
You're an actual confirmed genius! :D
That's a good way of thinking about projects, even if they're the final iteration. "It's just a prototype!" gives you adequate room for mistakes, and I love that. đ
I love this so much! I used a rope and pulley system for my hanging houseplants because I am 5 feet tall lol. I really want to make a plant lamp now!!! Itâs brilliant and amazing! My pothos is also supper long and I donât want to cut the ends either!

Thanks!
...that is literally my last name.
so many good one liners! "it's like fake boobs, but a plant" that one killed me:)
CZcams must love plamps because they recommended this after your latest plamp creation. VIVE LA PLAMP
I have the perfect solution for watering your lovely plamp: a pressurized watering can with a wand that reaches up high. I built one to water all my high-up plants and it works wonderfully. I took a 1-gallon pump sprayer and replaced the spray tip with a copper tube extension that I bent in a J-shape. Then I took the rubber cap off a spring door stopper and cut an X in it, then used that as the cap for the copper tube, so it doesn't drip out when I'm not spraying. The pump sprayer even came with a shoulder strap, so I can easily carry it around while I water things.
this is fucking genius. thank you for sharing your idea
you could also install a watering tube, then make an automated system that waters it and all you have to do is make sure it runs.
Can u post photos or a link to photos?.. I need to see it...I'm a visual person...cuz it sounds like a great idea...I have lots of places I want to hang plant's BUT I'm VERY SHORT and watering is a problem.
@@redinabloogs8477 i dont have any on hand unfortunately but its quite literally as simple as getting some vinyl tubing for example and then attaching it in such a way that one end is dropping into the plant pot and another is attached to a pump, from there you just need to figure out the rest of it. You could set up an automatic pump system if you bothered or go as simple as a manually operated pump.
Though this is intended as a permanent setup so may not be quite what you were looking for, you could do something similar in attaching a tube to a long arm on a portable setup, but that's not something i want to get into now.
@KillingTimeItself : Oh ok, now I see what u mean...thanks for replying..i really appreciate ur time. đ TC đ
For when it keeps growing, you could get little hooks for the ceiling beams to have the tendrils trailing all across the ceiling, and eventually it will cover the whole thing and look like a fairy garden!
Hanging monkeybars all over for it to follow would be cool too
Wouldn't it get root bound eventually tho?
@@hereiampercylover how long does it that have to be there to be really bad?
@@-Sean_ it all depends on how she's taking care of it. At least a few months tho. She said it's really happy so it seems it's growing fast.

How tf are high heels about being a "proud woman"? High heels are sexist devices and plenty of intelligent women don't wear them. Don't associate us to your strange hobbies that include screwing up your feet. Thx
Simone is the only youtuber that makes me smile EVERY video. Genuinely charming, entertaining, and educational content.
Disco plamp!
I made a automatic watering system for a friend of mine, she has three big plants hanging really high. It's just the sensors in the pots, some solenoid valves and some meters of these plastic water pipes used for ice makes in refrigerator doors and thing like this. It will take about four minutes to get enough water through these thin piping, but time is not really important if it runs by itself.
Also added a securety feature: If the valve is open for two minutes and there is no real difference on the sensor, the system will close the valve and send an alarm message (yeah, it have wifi!). So a bad sensor or a broken pipe will not flood the room.
The little laugh with the barely audible snort at the end of the video was my favorite part (besides dropping the water can). You must be fun to hang out with if you can laugh at yourself whilst being witty and handy! Kudos to another STEAM LADY BOSS!
I'm glad you tackled the inevitable "how would I water this" at the end. The answer: Fashionably.
Simone: you just need a "hanging plant waterer" - it's a squeeze bottle with a gooseneck shaped tube coming out of the top (that adds height), so you can easily water overhead with just a few squeezes of the bottle. Transformative in the plant watering game!
Hush. I want to see her build a solution to the problem.

First of all, I love Plamp and want one for myself please! Second, Simone, go to your local plant shop and pick up a continuous water globe. They're really pretty and not very expensive, and all you do is fill the thing with water, carefully get withing eye level of your plant, then quickly turn the globe over while holding it over your plant, then push the spout part of the water globe into the plants soil close to the center of the "root ball". The water globe will water you plant "at will" continuously, for about 2-4 weeks, depending on how thirsty your plant is. All you have to do is set a reminder in you phone to check the water globe every couple weeks. When it's empty, refill the globe. It's much, much safer!
I just found your videos and I already love you and I just looked you up based on "plamp" so I can share this with my coworkers and company. Love it. Love all the vulnerability of leaving mistakes in and fun jokes!
