If I may. Your franchise hasn’t done much. The regular season doesn’t really mean much besides whether or not you make it to the postseason. Your team has proven that it can’t win in October. So he can say really whatever he wants because the Sox have been able to accomplish something since 2010.

I have to agree with you. That also reminded me of the Braves and the Phillies. The Braves might be really good against Phillies in the regular season (2022 and 2023 specifically) but when they're in October, they don't put all together and end up getting beated by the Phills. No matter how many time you've beaten them in the regular season, they beated you when it mattered the most.

This year Yankee team is really no different from any other team in the Judge era. The only two major things that you'd consider different are the fact they have Juan Soto and that the rotation has been pitching out of it's mind. Stanton continues to be an albatross and if it wasn't for the fact the Yankees gave up practically nothing for him, the trade with the Marlins would probably go down as the worst ever in Baseball. They don't have a closer, the lineup is practically dead wood past the four hitter, and you can't really expect the pitching to continue to pitch at the same clip. Not to mention this team has been completely snake bitten by injuries over the years, and it's only a matter of time before Judge and several other key players get hurt. This accompanied with the fact they really have no depth. Running out Trent Grisham batting .090 when one of your stars gets hurt tells you all you need to know. It all comes down to having an old team with poor leadership/ownership that just continues to act complacent and keeps running out the same players every year expecting a different result.
With that said, the O's are leaps and bounds better than the Yankees this year and I'm confident in saying they will win the division. They're much younger and have way more depth, and barring they don't shit all over themselves in the playoffs like last year, they should be the odds on favorite to make it out of the AL this year.

The 2022 Astros won 106 games in the regular season and went 12-2 in the postseason and the 2018 Red Sox won 108 and went 12-3 in the postseason. I would consider both being dominant in both regular and postseason play.

I don't disagree and am an Astros fan. Too many injured pitchers and Jose Abreu didn't help our case. Too many good young guys on the other teams. It was fun watching that Dodgers blowout of the Yankees while visiting family (also Astros fans) in Georgia though. Tbh, 7 postseasons in a row is our biggest accomplishment and I am proud we made that many consecutive postseasons. If and likely we don't make it to October, I'm not going to be that upset.

Soto and judge hide alot of flaws in the yankees lineup. Reailty of it is they are carried by soto and judge offensively and have solid pitching, its nothing spcial. Only difference from this years team and last years team is soto...thats it. Theyre lineup isnt stacked with talent like the O's and they arent a balanced team. They mainly rely on 2 players offensively and if one of them goes down, theyre screwed

As someone who became a Yankees fan as a way of integrating into nyc after moving across the country with my family and enjoyed watching the team even last year, I do find this year exciting. Do I expect it to turn into World Series? No, I understand baseball is chaotic and no amount of money will magically turn into a ring. Doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the energy in yankee stadium this season as a fan.

Judge will come off the IL a month before the playoffs and play his ass off along Soto(who’s in his contract year so definitely not getting hurt, his injury will come next year after the Yankees sign him for 12 years). The Yankees will win the Wild Card, then Judge will bat 057% with 1 home run in the ALDS. Soto will bat 417% with 2 homeruns in the ALDS(It’s his contract year) but it won’t be enough and the Yankees lose in game 6. There you go folks there’s the Yankees 2024 season😂

i remember watching all of the 2017 Dodgers playoff games because I felt like it was their time. they were a juggernaut that year in the playoffs. i believe they had only lost 2 games in all their series combined leading up to the WS, but i could be wrong, so i felt they had the WS won. they were a really good team who were hot at the right time... then the Trashstros happened

Yes, the team with the best record in baseball who are 14-4 in their last 18 games, who have the most runs, lowest ERA, second highest OPS, second most home runs, and has seemingly made philosophical and stylistic organizational adjustments that Yankee fans have been begging for for years are broken. Makes sense.
Things can obviously change but the premise of this is absolutely absurd. To say that it is “for the worst” that a team is consistently in the playoffs and gives themselves a chance to win (even though many of us disagreed with some of the moves and philosophies of the organization over the past 10 years) is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
Never been a Yankee fan and I've been criticizing the Yankees, especially Cashman, for having no sound philosophy and putting together one dimensional rosters, in spite of all the available funds, for more than a decade. Having said that, the 2024 roster looks a lot more versatile offensively as a result of the acquisitions of Soto, Verdugo, the further development of Volpe and improved health of Stanton.
Furthermore the pitching, starters and bullpen, have been very strong. Maybe missing Cole for a while will prove to be a blessing in disguise as it allowed for younger guys to step up.
In my mind this video will undoubtedly generate clicks, but in no way should that be considered as proof of it making a strong case for the premise that 'the Yankees are still broken'. Actually no real argument is brought forward, at all. Basically it says there is no reason to expect the Yankees not to 'choke' again. Well, actually the Yankees have improved their chances of winning it all substantially. By the way, the term 'choking' is so easily tossed around by people who have never been in the situation of having a chance to win anything of value.
In baseball there are no guarantees, but this team has a real chance of winning it all if they stay healthy in the second half.
