    This has nothing to do with this video but one of your previous videos and I can't remember which, whatever. You mentioned in that video, and this was only a brief mention and not the focus of the video, that one should "post" their left leg (make it straight) towards the end of one's swing. So if you're wondering if you are making a difference out here in golf land be assured that you are, because that one "instruction" has improved my game by 50 -60 %. No one ever told me to "post" my left leg. I tried it and like a miracle everything in my swing came together! Thank you so very much.

    I believe for most golfers that aren't consistently scoring in the 70's pick a ball and stick with the same one so you eliminate one variable . Just as you tested, those balls are so close in performance it really doesn't matter for most golfers.

    Funny how people have different likes when it comes to the feel of a golf ball. I'm at a 6.5 handicap right now and I swing at around 108 mph with the driver and I will not play anything but an AVX or a Chrome Soft ball. I just got so used to playing the super softs and soft feel balls when I was learning to play that I can't stand the feel of the hard compression balls at all, especially around the greens and putting. I know I am losing some distance off the tee but it's worth it to me.

    The more consistent your swing and setup the more you will keep your ball in play, I've tried balls that I hear many people say is rubbish and scored very well with them, you will lose the most expensive ball quite easily if you don't play it right. My son and I have tried almost all ball's on the market and find most are similar in performance 3hc by the way.

    Picked up the Chrome Tour (gold) today. Very informative and specific detailed comparisons. The one thing you didn't touch on was players who are now 55+ (56 soon! lol) who's swing speed has decreased due to age and things like physical restrictions due to arthritis, etc. Having said that, do I take the 'Tour' back and get the 'Tour X' or does my slower swing speed garner using the 'Tour' (gold) ball. I should add that my HC is approx. 6.8 while playing the blue tees regularly. Thank you very much.

I play several courses on a regular basis. I have noticed I hit the same distance no matter what ball I use. If it looks like I really hit it long, it is because I had a good swing and hit the ball on the club face where you are suppose to do.

    Are these replacing Chrome Soft or are they new in the lineup? Also are these balls "rolled back" as per the new USGA rule?

    • @golfballwhackerguy824
      @golfballwhackerguy824 Před 7 měsíci +1

      chrome soft still exists, from my understanding better players shy away from balls with "soft" in the name going after more distance so they made a new ball to capture that market more. The roll back isnt until 2030 for recreational golfers

      There is also a newer Chrome Soft in 2024. No the rollback isnt going to happen in 2030, if ever. I cant see any Tour adopting a rolled back ball when the ball, contrary to what the USGA says, is not the problem

    Performance? The best ball? Really you should be saying the best ball for you. Last year I switched from TP5 to Vice Pro (after testing several other possibilities, figuring that I was getting older and losing a few MPH, which was costing me yardage) and picked up yardage without giving up spin around the greens or feel. Saved a ton of money too. Different swing speeds and attack angles mean that different balls work better for different people. There is no objectively “best ball.” It always comes down to best ball for the particular golfer. (Anyway, the governing bodies have screwed us with the new rules on balls anyway, so it really only matters for a few years when we’ll all have to figure it out all over again.)

      After watching numerous videos on high performance balls it seems that Vice Pros have been a serious competitor for the all the high end performance balls it has competed with. This at about 30 dollars a dozen. why not include this in your comparison? Golf is expensive enough without paying an extra 25 bucks for snob appeal.

      I have been playing the Vice Pro Plus and the Maxfli Tour X. These club companies overhype and over price their balls that perform no better then some DTC balls.
