- We at Outside Xbox live by a strict code of honour and observe the Geneva Convention at all times, but not all videogame combatants are so humane. Witness their low blows and cheaty guns brought to fist fights in this damning exposé.
Flinging a handful of sand in your opponent's face is dirty tactics 101, for instance. It's the ideal opening gambit if you're outnumbered, outclassed or if you just left your self-respect in your other trousers. You will find perpetrators Ezio of Assassin's Creed fame and Street Fighter's Cody in the video above.
A similarly dirty trick is bringing a gun to a hand-to-hand duel, like Mortal Kombat X cowboy fighter Erron Black, who is dirtier than than an unbathed Christina Aguilera circa 2002. He has an entire character variation based on swiss-cheesing the unarmed you with his twin revolvers.
I don't know if there's a Mortal Kombat rule book, per se, but it's hardly in the spirit of things, is it now. I remember when Mortal Kombatants used to rip out spines with their bare hands. It was a simpler time.

Yeah, bringing a gun to a fist fight is unfair, but if you're an ordinary human and you must fight a reptilian monster who can spit acid, a ninja who can breathe fire, another ninja who can freeze your body, a woman who can teleport, a guy who can shoot laser with his eye, a sorcerer who can control soul, a guy who can control your body, a blind man who can do telekinesis, and so on... I'd say cut him some slack.

Also when you think about it, even guns are not the ultimate equalizer. for example: Erron fires his guns at Raiden. Raiden teleports behind erron and pummels him before the bullets get to where Raiden was standing.

The dickest move in a non-fighting game must surely be Razor at the start of Need For Speed Most Wanted (2005). He messes with your car so you can't finish the race, takes it because he won the race, and then uses it to become the #1 street racer in Rockport. What an arsehole.

A gun? Really? The other people you're fighting (in what is no longer a tournament) have Hellfire, telekinesis, sorcery, cyborg arms, godly lightning, Swarms of Bees, and Cryomancy. I think a gun is a minimum requirement to compete.

It doesn't even matter if you come up with a way of powering up all characters to have your story make sense. As long as it includes Superman, it won't work, because Superman is just too damn much. The guy moves entire fucking planets. Being stuck in our sun doesn't kill him. No, it just boosts him to a godlike level. How is any normal human supposed to go up against that?There is no way in hell a character like Catwoman can ever go up against him and hope to defeat him. It's just not possible. It doesn't even matter how janked up she is from experimental technology, because as long as she can't perform all the feats he can, she'll still lose that fight in a matter of seconds.

But if one has a weapon or even is willing to beat me down, it's a threat. In a fight, anything goes to get your opponent down as quickly and as efficiently as possible. You can follow a bro code, I prefer to keep breathing.
The balls wouldn't be my first choice, though. Go for the knee, dislocate the shoulders, grab his ankles and twist it, breaking it to pieces, etc. But at the least it would disorient him, allowing me to reach the joint areas.

Apart from Sleep and maybe Paralysis, the others aren't as annoying though and spamming Sleep in competitive is banned plus the enemy can easily just use Heal Bell to cure everything.

I wish I could remember what the game was called, but there was a character you could unlock. The game was about swords and other melee weapons, but she had a M-16 style rifle. All I had to do was stand at the edge of the screen and shoot my enemy until they fell over dead. No one could beat her. That did seem a tad unfair.

1. Dirt in the eye: The guards in Assassin's Creed also do that to you to get you off your guard. So, that's kind of even

3. Using an animal: Why not? The dog in that clip is very over-powered, realistically it could be downed in one shot. In Call of Duty you can set dogs on people or vice versa, as well as Wolfenstein, but it's only when they are overpowered that people kick up a fuss.
4.Bringing a gun to a fist fight: And bringing bow's, illusions, saw blade hats, invisible miniature helicopters, large knives, knuckledusters, electricity, being able to summon fire, being able to summon ice, swords, being telepathic, being telekinetic, metal arms, acid, twice as many arms, machetes and, oh i don't know, BEING THE GOD OF THUNDER is okay? And yes, all of these things are used in Mortal Kombat X.
5. Distracting people with sexy things: This would probably never work in real life. If anything, it would just put guards on higher alert. And if they do want to look at, maybe they could pick it up and look at it when they're off the job.
6. Not being dead: When SHOULD you be dead>?When you actually are. If you manage to fake your own death, then honestly, people shouldn't pick fights with you at all. People are fine when the hero survives when people think he/she is dead, but when it's the villain, OH NO, that's not allowed

Monster in My Pocket for the NES did it even before that... It has to be one of the oldest tricks in the book to have a fake credits roll before fighting the true final boss; that or forcing you to beat hard mode in what is essentially a challenge difficulty to fight the true final boss for the 'good' or 'best' ending.

Well,let's consider Black is up against demons,aliens,Jason,Leatherface,and generally characters with powers, and Black is just a cowboy.
Plus Erron Black didn't partecipate in a Tournament with rules and stuffs. He's just a mercenary trying to protect his boss during a civil war.
....being the only guys without special powers in the MK universe, I think its is fair for Erron and Stryker to bring pistols to the fight, and srsly they didnt bring Machine guns too just pistols

the Dr. Ned one in this video actually had me going for a few moments when i saw it for the first time haha.. after struggling to survive tooth and nail with some of the harder bosses i came across Ned who ..died in four hits. i sat there for a moment and was like..."that was fucking easy o_O" then raised my brow in disbelief when the "credits" started off waaaay to easily, only to facepalm in a few seconds.
i wish they would do an hd remake of def jam vendetta so bad...

At least Erron Black is a character you really have to learn how to use. He's easily the most difficult character to use in MKX
STEIN667 Excuse me but: Kotal Kahn, Reptile, Ferra/Torr, D'Vorah, Jax, Sonya and maybe Johnny. Erron is far from being the hardest character to use
I haven't used Ferra/Torr, but the others on that list are relatively easy to learn. Erron Black and Kung Jin have been to most difficult so far.
Jason is pretty hard to use, but he's dlc, so I don't really count him.
I found Johnny and Kotal Kahn to be very easy. Sonya is fast, and once you learn her combos, she's easy. Jax, same thing.
Reptile is a bit harder to use, but still easier than Erron. Same with D'vorah.
Now, I'm sure all of this depends on the player, but upon playing online and talking with online players, the common decision is 'erron black is hard as fuck'
I play king of the hill a lot, and people will kill is with every character, but will lose as soon as they choose Erron Black. Especially those who like to use Scorpion.
STEIN667 I've played against many good Erron players. Mostly used Outlaw which is the most combo efficient and from the looks of it, he doesn't seem hard to use, it might just take time to get used to his combos. Kung Jin being hard to use? He's probably one of the easiest characters to pull of combos with (if you use Bojutsu which you should). He has so many bounce abilities that it's extremely easy to get a combo going. I haven't really used Sonya, but from the looks of it, her variations don't seem to be very good for combos. I tried using D'Vorah, and she is hard as fuck. I've used Jax and all three of his variations aren't good for combos either. Wrestler would could pull of something but it would still be relatively hard. Kotal Kahn is only easy as the War God variation. Sun God or Blood God get harder. Johnny's kind of a mid ground. They most likely lose as Erron because they don't know how to use them. Someone could pick Ermac and not know how to use him but that doesn't mean he's hard to use.

I fi d that Erron Black is a character you have to learn. But I others, Ermac and Scorpion being the biggest two, are very easy to learn, which is probably why so many people use them. I come across more Scorpion and Ermac users than anything...and they all spam the same combos.
I'm sure once you get the hang of him, Erron Black is easy to use, but he's one you have to learn. You can't just pick up the game and do well with him right away.
Personally, I use Kenshi.
STEIN667 A little bit of contradiction but it's like that with every character. You have to learn how to use them. Some take more time than others. Anyways, I myself run into a lot of Liu Kangs, Scorpions, Scrub-Zeros, Kung Jins and the occasional Kung Lao. I main Ermac. The block breaking is fantastic.

Enforcer, Dead ringer, Spycicle. 60 damage per revolver shot, immunity from fire damage as long as you keep running, never die unless you can't find an ammo box.

Nathen Rowe-Foster Actually thorn is 3-4 shots, depends if u have a headshot and or the poison, fusion rifles u need to get a direct hit with all the shots so it can be kinda hard, to be honest everything has its ups in downs, in the crucible there is no such thing as an EASY kill
