    Top tip! If you like tofu, and you also like noodles. You will find in your Asian market something called tofu sheets (Qian zhang). Cut them into strips like pasta, I boil them for about 4 minutes, then just put them in whatever sauce you want. They are insanely high protein. They have the texture of a very thin but Al Dente pasta and taste ever so vaguely of tofu. I don't understand why Western people have not deemed this the ultimate in high protein, low calorie food. You can put it in cold salads. I like mine in stir frys in place of noodles.

      They’re a little hard to find even in asian grocery stores. I live in Pittsburgh, PA which has a looot of Asians (because of the universities). Lots of Asian stores here obviously, but most are on the smaller side. I’ve only seen one so far that has a variety of tofu that isn’t in blocks, and that store is in the Strip District which is known for terrible parking and heavy tourists... so you would have to decide if it’s worth the hassle 😅 that’s a great tip though! I will try that out!

    • @_ainyy
      @_ainyy Před 3 lety +7

      It's for weight loss... If someone can't watch typical weight loss content (especially since a lot of Jordan's content is around the fact that she used to be obese, and I assume her target audience is people like herself), that is not the responsibility of the content creator. People struggle with arachnaphobia, doesn't mean every spider pet hobbyist on youtube should put trigger warnings for phobias. It is the responsibility of the individual to know what they can and can't handle watching. Maybe someone struggling with anorexia or bulimia should be taught, or recognize not to click videos titled "tips for losing weight" versus requiring a warning AFTER clicking on it that this is probably triggering to them....

    • @kristinaerickson2353
      @kristinaerickson2353 Před 3 lety +7

      @@_ainyy Yes being considerate of other people is just the worst. Someone can be looking for healthy food or "diet" advice but be triggered by calorie counting. Calorie counting can become sort of a compulsive disorder for someone whereas simply eating healthy may not. So fortunately some people are just generally nice and considerate of others.

    • @_ainyy
      @_ainyy Před 3 lety +5

      @@kristinaerickson2353 I think anyone going into a weight loss video should be aware before hand of the type of content that entails... There is a difference between being considerate, and treating others or expecting to be treated like a fragile bubble.

First you Rinse the noodles really well then you have to boil them in water for a couple of minutes. And then you dry fry them in a non-stick pan. Then you add the sauce and whatever protein source you are using and did the texture doesn't come out funky like a lot of people hate. There is a lot of information about hair care. Your specific needs depend on your hair porosity (Low, Normal, High) & Curl Type (Straight hair does have a curl type A1). Most of it is anecdotal, for me I have a very hard time because my hair is low porosity which means that it HATES protein.....& it is very hard to find protein free hair products. I honestly keep my hair lightened (except this year) just so I can use whatever products I want. The info that is helpful is the porosity info specifically, that is really the one thing you need to know about your hair....but as with everything it is still all about finding what works for your specific hair. Knowing your porosity can help you read ingredient lists & find the things that will not be great for your hair.

    I have been more into eating plant based which is how I found you and enjoy your videos! I've always felt better eating more protein. As I'm looking into all the protein sources I'm finding that all the recommended high protein food has tons of carbs... besides soy and protein powder! How do you limit your carbs when beans and everything else has large amounts of it?

      I think if you're not really into super processed mock meats and stuff, tvp is a good option (still a soy product though)
      But if you don't care about having whole foods stuff then I guess look for some mock meats that are cheap and easily available to you?
      Sorry if this isn't much help haha

    For those with experience counting calories, do you find that calories and satiety levels go hand in hand? Does fullness sort of align with how calorically dense your meal was, or does it have more to do with protein levels or is it all kind of dependent on what you’ve eaten?

    • @karioxy
      @karioxy Před 3 lety

      In my experience it can be that way, but it doesn’t have to. The more protein a meal has, the more satiated I am. So for me it’s not about calories but protein and it keeps full for longer too.

    I know it was an added bit at the end but when it comes to Care Of. I don't like the marketing because I don't think it is really all that personal. Like you can find all that information yourself. But for someone who really really struggles with remember to take my supplements and to buy them, it is great. It isn't worth it for everyone though. Also supplements can be super overwhelming and for someone starting out it can be really useful. I don't use them anymore but it helped me figure out how to do it myself.
