Different ball game back then so to speak. I probably sound old but football was a lot more enjoyable back then, played far too quickly now and in an almost aggressive manner where the stakes for winning and losing are too high.

Coppell's disallowed 'goal' should have stood as a blue touched it last. Meanwhile, Andy Ritchie's left in the reserves whilst he plays Coppell out of position, and Grimes in Coppell's natural one.

The rags didn`t have a crowd till they played at Maine Road the red media might bang on about this historical great support but it`s a myth. The first time utd got a crowd of 20,000 it was against that "small club" City their smallest gate being 1,000. The first time they had a 40,000 crowd was against City while their lowest was 6,000 and finally when utd first got a crowd of 60,000 once again it was againt City while their lowest gate was 7,000. If that`s not taking over a ground i dont know what is.

City`s allocation was continually shrunk over the years but before that they always turned up footage from the late 1960s onwards proves it.
