Forgot to mention that I love John Shanks on the mandolin. I've always thought that when he is playing with Melissa that it improves her performance. As good as Rod Stewart's original recording is I prefer Melissa's rendition. She adds the gusto that the song needs. I've seen her cover many songs but this is my favorite cover.

Compare this with the weak version done by Sid and Suzie. This is a man's song, but from a lesbian perspective, it fits well with Melissa and her style.

The morning sun when it’s in your face really shows your age. 😳 made me dislike this song and I had teen skin at the time. Still thought what a mean line.
