Your 911 T is so good looking. From every angle!
Agreed :)
Absolutely beautiful! I have a 991.2 yellow Carrara T with a stick shift, almost identical as yours. And I always love these small ducktail. Thank you for paving the road for me to get my next upgrade.
Sorry for making you spend $ :)
Good diy! I just bought the entire Techart II kit - will post a review once installed
Let me know how it fits
A nice subtle change. Looks great 👍
Glad you like it!
Lovely touch 🤌🏾
Yeyy!
Great little touch for the vehicle.
I think so too!
SD spoiler is such a great subtle touch!
Thanks!! I couldn’t help myself
Nice! I ordered my 992 Carrera T with the OEM Aerokit. Need some spoilers in my life but also need a rear seat for my kids.
992 oem aerokit is so amazing
Great looking spoiler. My 981 Boxster has a spyder spoiler, silver 19s, PSE and the same subtle aggressive appearance as you.
Angles screwdriver is a super idea.
I miss my 981 engine note
great instructional video
Thank you!
Hey Tommy, your car looks great brother! Just upgraded to the SD spoiler last week and it looks awesome, it gives the car attitude haha, I have a 991.2 gts. Definitely looking forward to a possible coding software update vid, mine raises super high as well. Rennlist does talk about changing the code through Autel. And just wanted to say thank you for the great content, it’s pretty cool being able to go through this experience with ya 🤙🏼
Hey, congratulations congratulations on your car and thank you for the kind words. It really means a lot. I’m happy to share this experience with others.
Classic Tommy, “OEM+”
Looks good.
Thanks!
You should definitely code the spoiler angle - when it comes from factory the angle is much smaller. From what I remember there are 2 ways - either Sport specific coding or setting the spoiler's angle to specific value.. There was a post on rennlist that instructed how to do it.
Will look it up. Thanks !
Love the look especially with the spoiler down. Do you know if there is something similar for the 992?
992 would be a proper duck tail similar to what you get on the SC
Good video TLG
Glad you enjoyed!!
Great upgrade! Being you have a sunroof the spoiler goes even higher when the sunroof is open at higher speeds. I would say it goes up approximately 1-2 inches more.
Agreed. I’ll make a video about it soon
I love the mini duck tail. It's a stylish, unpretentious addition.
Thanks!
Worth every penny Tommy. Looks beautiful but definitely get the Sport Design spoiler coding.
Thanks. Any idea how to go about getting it coded ?
@@TommyLGarage Caesar knows…I bought his old GTS and he already had it coded when I bought it.
@@TLDCR531 ahh you got yourself a nice GTS!
I like it.
Thanks!
Looks great and does make a visual difference. The price for me is a little steep but I like it Tommy!
Right on!
The Best Exterior Mod IMO , especially being OEM. I added same to my 911T . The coding can be done , my dealer has me queued up . Im sure you've noticed that spoiler has 2 angles of attack , a higher angle of attack when sunroof open. Coding lowers/ flattens that angle from my understanding
Now I just need to find a competent dealer in my area to do it
This is cool
Thanks!!!
Nice car, what shade of tint and who did you use? I am in NJ with a 991.1 with the ducktail :)
Check out Vision Auto Effects in Butler and tell Ryan Tommy sent you. 35%
I think it looks good. I’m curious if they make one for the 992?
So the 992 is slightly bigger but yes they do make it
Looks waaaaaaay better now. Love the change !
Thanks! Same here
Pretty!
Agreed!
Looking good! What shop did you use for paint? Im local to you and looking for a place i can trust.
I went to Volvo of summit body shop but I would not recommend them
Looks good, I think coding the spoiler to raise at 100mph would be ideal, the higher speeds I think I would want the extra downforce.
I agree. I’d have to figure out how to do it. I hate that it goes up at 60
Any idea where i can find the small skinny spoiler like the GT3 Touring? I prefer that one
Dealer will have it. But it looks too aftermarket for me
I like it 🤷♂️
Porsche = pay to play 🤙
Unfortunately:(
A needed addition for yellow. 🎉
Agreed!!
Looks great. What % tint is on your car?
Thanks! 35% sides and 15% rear window
Very nice addition!
I think so too!
Greetings from Poland 🎉
Siemanko!!
Hey Tommy, check this, I'm looking to get rid of my Harley and get a 987 or 981 Boxster S! Although you opted to get a 911,...your thoughts on a Boxster,...Boxster S in particular?
Get a 981 Cayman GTs and you’ll be happy!!
@@TommyLGarage Tommy,...Thx,...but I wanna drop that "Top" man,....gotta 'drop the top'!
As for you wanting to keep the new rear Spoiler piece lower,...I'm betting there is a fuse you may be able to pull that keeps it in the lowered position,...of which, I think looks Fire!
Wow it looks sooooo goood. Love seeing you find all the OEM+ mods for your cars over the years, definitely my taste
More to come!
Do they have something like this for the 992
Yes they do!
I really have soft spot for your Carrera 😍
For the right $$ it could be yours :)
@@TommyLGarage If I could afford it I would already have one :(
Check with another dealership tech department and find the software update. I wouldn’t be surprised if that spoiler could negatively affect your aero at higher speed, looks very tall…like an airbrake.
Will check for sure
It does look really good! Perfect. Subtle.
Thank you! Cheers!
Tip: place a towel over the engine cover to catch any dropped clips etc.
Good tip!
Straighten up little soldier
Stiffen up that upper lip
What you crying about?
You got me!
Haha
I believe RUF and Moshammer couple ducktails for the 991.2 as well, but you got it sorted 👌 always a big fan of the ducktail, I've been bitching at AdamLZ to get the Sport Classic ducktail on his absolutely gorgeous 992 PTS and CCX'd Heritage interior'd GT3T (Meissen Blue over Heritage Cognac and Pepita 🥵) since he first picked that glorious thing up..... and he's yet to see my comment and get one to get rid of that bulbous bare backside and that ridiculous active winglet. 🙄😤🤣
SC ducktail is stunning!
Great car but "...goes up a lot higher..." LOL
Good catch :)
I love it!!! Looks perfect! just recently did the same upgrade on mine and plan to post a similar DIY. Mine required a revisit to the paint shop to dial the color in just a tad better on the color match. Metallic colors are trickier. You can use various tools to code the wing to deploy at different angles of attack and speeds. There are a few threads on Rennlist that explain how to do it. Also, with a sun roof, it deploys much higher when the sunroof is open so you have to code that as well. You did a great job. Enjoy!!!
Thanks! Looking forward to seeing yours !!
Classic TLG how much this car?
Make me an offer!
Why not ducktail?
I literally explain it in the video hehe
@@TommyLGarage lol oops, i skipped straight to the install section.
Tommy, stop making me spend money 🤣
Sorry!! This is a must :)
Good video Tommy, By any chance invite you to do a product review for our air pump with jump starter, We just emailed for an inquiry.
I will check it out
Love your vids Tommy but why have you transitioned into a Co Kerry Farmer 😂
Haha ever since I got back from Ireland :)
That is NOT a bumper showing on the front of the car. It is a bumper cover.
Thank you for that. Anything else I may have missed?
Sorry TLG it doesn't look any better it looks worse. The spoiler comes up too high and looks like a random piece of aftermarket kit. Keep the videos coming.
The thing is the spoiler comes up high with the oem lip too. It just looks better stationary :)
The regular spoiler is fine. You can’t see his lip spoiler
like it yet still nothing compares to the 70's whale-tail
Now you’re talking !
no grown man should ever wear those shoes
Luckily I’ve got a few years left before I grow up. Thanks Gucci!
Leave it stock...that 'tail' looks stooopid.
Seriously, it's not an improvement.
Read the comments. You’re in the vast minority
@@TommyLGarage I see that you ascribe to the 'sheep' mentality // external validation 'school of thought'.
Awesome...continue being you friend
It has a duckbill spoiler. It just retracts. You can save a lot of money by using the switch to leave it up. It’s not rocket science
Just leave the spoiler UP!!! It looks better than that non visible lip he puts on. AND ITS FREE and magically it has OEM PAINT!!!
Only poseurs leave their spoilers up ;)
Save your money, looks like crap.
Ahhh too late. I wish you had told me earlier. What am I gonna do now ???!
@MSRP: $1,545.16 + 2-400 in painting and extra 2-300 for having someone to install it I must say that "upgrade" is probably the stupidest upgrade promoted ever. I would have been embarrassed admitting paying or even bother getting that thing.
If you have to pay $200-300 because you don’t own a screw driver, I’d be embarrassed too.
Thanks for worrying how I spend my money
If you can afford this car, that price is something you should be able to drop on a mod like this.
@@lpwbeasty indeed how dare he spend
@@iOSAT jealousy is out in the open with him lol I just don’t get it
It's time for you to get a 992. 991's have such a bad interior. Not classic looking like the 992's.
I much prefer the 991 interior - actually one of the reasons I havent upgraded to 992. I think it has the perfect mix of analog and enough tech with Apple Carplay to be perfect car. 992 has way too many screens and the black plastic in center console is not great. Plus the PDK razor shifter. 992.2 will have all digital gauges so even worse.
@@RNMAutomotiveAddiction Got yah. Cheers
I prefer analog. 991.2 all the way for me
@@nonradar Was there a question
@ToThefloor I know a Porsche mechanic, he’s appalled by the CHEAPNESS of the 992 interior materials. He couldn’t believe how flimsy the new 992 materials are. When you consider that plus the huge price jump to 992s the 991.2 is the one to keep. It’s common knowledge that Porsche really cheapened their interiors to bolster profits on 992s
I’m glad your opinion isn’t the norm.
