Received my copy this week and really happy with it. Love the terrain quality (and quantity)...! Hopefully much more in the works. Thanks for sharing, really great channel to.
Thanks for watching, and for the kind words. It's a great expansion. I'm really looking forward to getting Stinkor in the next wave too, and then we have the Evil Horde to look forward to after that!
With you all the way on these videos, loved He-man when I was younger so this game was a nobrainer when it came out. I also like the fact that Archon make the “limited” release figures available on their web store.
I was disappointed when the game came out and they said there would be miniatures only available through tournaments, so I was very pleased when they announced they would make the promos available online. It was a very good call.
Thanks for the review! I have just ordered Wave 2 and 5, as my painting back log was been sufficiently reduced... Have you tried any of the Legends of Preternia scenarios yet? And if so, what do you think/make of them? Cheers!
Thanks for watching. I haven't done a whole lot with Preternia yet, but it's an interesting expansion. The hunt for the tyrantisaurus is a really cool idea. It's nice to have those different playstyles available.
Weird they didn't include a card for it to be used in an army. This was Skeletor's beasty back in the day. He-man got the oddly named Bionotops. I'm sure that's coming and maybe the cards for both will be in that pack, just for balance reasons. It's funny that the laser is on opposite shoulders on the mini and in the art.
It's definitely something I feel should have been there, but like you say, possibly something for a future pack. I'm surprised they didn't chuck in the triceratops too. They have already included a bionotops gun in the weapon deck. I am wondering if they decided to mirror the image on the cover because they decided it looked better coming from that side and didn't really think about how the gun would swap over.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring Probably just some design editor not really paying attention. I worked on some minis yesterday while watching the first Pumpkinhead. It worked well up until he was actually summoned and then I sort of lost focus on the minis. Not good background materiel.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoringHe's great in the old Millenium tv series, though that show tended to vary a lot in quality. The last half of the second season and most of the third was cool. Lance can really phone it in sometimes too though. Pumpkinhead 3 and 4 (the sci-fi channel ones) seem like he's been huffing gasoline or something. The design of Pumpkinhead is really amazing though. I love how in the original he perches in trees to ambush people.
Tyrantisaurus Rex was actually designed to be King Hiss's ride, as all the dinosaurs were supposed to be part of the Powers of Grayskull spin-off toyline. You can see the main character He-Ro riding Turbodactyl on the box art.
It is on the agenda. I am really backed up at the moment with the videos I want to get onto the channel, and more coverage of this game is high on the list.
It's a shame. I hope the CMoN MotU game turns out really good for the people in NA who find it difficult to get this one. However, apparently there are a few places that do get some stock of this game. Badger Games is one I keep hearing people mention.
No. Preternia is new terrain, a new mat, some new scenarios, and the solo game against the dino. Character packs expand your team-building options for their respective factions, so if you aren't interested in the new terrain here, you can just skip it.
I ordered direct from Archon Studio where it was $49. It worked out expensive with the shipping, but it was the only way to order Battle-Cat and Panthor online as those are event and Archon web store exclusives.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring thanks. I skipped this but did order those exclusive characters. Now I see it I fancy it. I see wayland games has it for about £33 with free shipping. I have been enjoying painting these characters so much.
It's always cheaper to wait for the Archon stuff to get to the third party sellers, but it didn't up the postage to add Preternia to the promo order I was making so I just bundled it all together hoping I might also get it a bit sooner and wouldn't have to worry about sourcing it later if there were any supply chain issues.

Maybe a future King Hiss can control the Tyrantisaurus?!
Snake men would be cool. I am looking forward to the Evil Horde coming after wave 3.
Would also love to see you paint all this stuff in a video
There will be more of that too, for sure.

Pumpkinhead is a classic Halloween film (and a great movie monster). Lance Henriksen is always good value too.

Great vid.
Thanks.
hmm... it's missing the Bionotops! I could really go for a cyborg Triceratops... 😌
Having both of them rampaging around, and potentially fighting each other, would have been fun, I think.
Would love to see a how to play video or just a regular gameplay video thanks in advance!

@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring awesome can’t wait to see it!
I saw a Dinosaur. This is awesome.
Dinosaurs are scientifically proven to make everything better.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring I love the terrain and scenarios too. Shame this game is not available in the USA.

I think I really want this game. But my pile of shame is happy as it is lol.
I'm lucky. I build everything and play it unpainted to start with. That way I never have a pile of shame!
Do I need the Legends of Preternia Set to use the characters of wave 3 (Whiplash etc) in a game?
