Here is what I think is the most simplest & inexpensive way of making a cup turner.
These are the parts I used to make what I think is the simplest cup turner yet!

Hi. I’m looking at building this unit for my wife. Can you specify what coupler you actually bought. The link to the amazon has several different sizes to choose from and I don’t see 7 mm. Thank you
Im interested in the coupler as well. I can likely figure everything else out. Great video Ryan. Thank you. My wifes been nagging me to build her one of these. I just need a way to make it stop...lol
All the links are in the description and top comment. LOL I know what you mean!
Geeze i dont know how i could have missed it. I guess its still kind of early here. Thanks for the great info Ryan. You got a sub out of it before I even seen any of your other vids. Have a great day bro.
AsALady1 thats awesome. It even ships to Canada ! Not everything does. Thank you. I might try to make one first but i will definitely keep that in mind. Actually, i will probably just order it because its cheap enough.
I have watched several. Videos on creating this Turner ..yours is by far the best ..Straight to the point ..not too long like others....Thanks this was very helpful
Ryan as always thank you for making this so simple for those who can’t afford to buy the more elaborate turners or have the ability to build one. Your honesty is very much appreciated. You are simply the best. I love the person you are.
Thank You Felita, I appreciate that.
Thank you for sharing. I know have my new turner.
I watched your video this morning and I just finished my 1st turner !!
You are awesome....I just made 2 5 cup turners with a few adjustments and now I’m waiting on the motors to make a single cup too!
I’ve already painted the multi cup turner Turquoise...thanks again!
Thanks for sharing this. Got myself a cup turner from Amazon (Homeproshop) for about $23 and I love it. But I'm bookmarking this vid if I decide to DIY.
The dollar tree makes a football that comes with an arrow thru the center. If you pull the arrow out, the hole is pre-drilled and centered. Also dollar general has a mini round ball that i like better than any of the footballs
For those who's pipe unscrews, like mine. I used the lock tighthread glue and mine still unscrewed. I learned that the motor will change directions when it meets resistance. So now when I turn it on, if it's going clockwise, I use needle nose pliers and grab the piece on the shaft that looks like a nut. I hold the shaft still for a second and the mother will switch directions. No more fall off!
I love this video I just made my turner simple and easy. I spend only 23 dollars since I got free wood at the store.
thank you for the parts list Wife wanted one, will be making it for her.
Awesome Cuptisserie, can have a look, thank you!

No lie….I subscribed as soon as I heard your last name and read the channel name. #clever
Thanks for a great video, this will save me some money!
Yay thank you for this video. I just ordered the parts and my husband is going to make this for me at work! You rock!
Thank you for sharing this awesome tutorial. This is very informative and helpful. I’m going to be making one soon.
Awesome Ryan, this is much more stable looking than the previous model my husband made for me with the gears and chain that kept coming off the rotisserie. Honestly towards the end I had to babysit that thing which took the joy of making new items. I bet he can put this together fairly quickly. Good to know you are branching out into home improvement vids. You have an incredible knack for getting right to the point and explaining the projects well enough that even I feel confident to tackle. Will stay tuned! Thanks a bunch!
Thank You, I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment!
Can you make a video on how to wire a switch to a motor
Wish I saw this before I bought the Charbroil motor. Great video as usual.
I've heard nothing but good things about the microwave motor bring used! I've actually got one sitting in my Amazon cart because I was still indecisive, but this is easy enough, I'm almost sure I could do it myself! Thanks Ryan! We are looking into buying our first home.... so bring on the diy home improvement! 😁
I just ordered enough parts to build three. thank you!
Do you sell them already made
I'm sorry I dont.
Could you please do one start to finish
Just ordered me a uxcell CCW/CW Direction 4W 50/60Hz Frequency 2.5-3RPM Electric Synchronous Motor AC 100-127V. Can't wait to build me, my first turner. So excited about it all.
thanks going to try to make one thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for this!!! It’s insane what people are charging for cup turners. The rotisserie motors have been out of stock for a while. I’m so glad you gave us this option
How do u get ur screw to not unscrew when it turns in the opposite direction? Mine keeps wanting to come off
As always, you are AMAZING....I love you!
Which philips head screws did you use. I can’t find any that fit
You have two motors listed, which one did you use?? Thanks and love your videos!
Thanks for the video! Very helpful (for hubby) to make one for me. After running a few weeks, all 3 motors we used seem to start acting up. 2 will only rotate if going counterclockwise and the other just died. Are there any other recommendations on motors that can be used. Really don't want to use a rotisserie motor b/c that the same motor used here.
How long is your PVC Pipe that you are using
Hello your video was very helpful but my question is can you do a video showing how to wire 5 microwave motors with separate switches
How can I get complete plans with size of wood pieces and pipe length. what type and size of screws if they don't come with coupler. ect
Thank you so much!!! Your method is brilliant!
Hello again! So I’ve been using my cup turner using your tutorial but for some reason darn screw in the motor shaft keeps unscrewing itself.
Couple things: When you screw it into the coupling hold the coupling with a wrench to tighten it and us a bit of blue loctite on the screw.
Me too! Did you find a solution? I found that I have to keep it turning clockwise and ended up using Gorilla glue on the screw when screwing it in 😬
@@Fentertainment Im having the same problem with the screws falling off. I will try loctite. Hope it works thank you!!
I love how honest you are. Thank you so much! My honey just built me the turner from your other video :-)
You are welcome, some people wont like it but who cares. Which one did yall build?
Fentertainment The first one that we ever saw. It’s the video with the rotisserie turner and the green foam/Sponge thing. He built it yesterday after watching your video. Now I just need to find an easy beginners epoxy video.
Just a tip. Take the extra bracket and add it between the motor and foam to support the end of it.
Fentertainment Are you talking about the extra black piece?
dunno if you found her already but I follow Beth Cumber her fb site is (Tumblers Beginners and more. ) great great great site. look at all her FB videos she covers lots of different techniques.
Hey if you don't mind me asking what size (length) is that pipe. Gonna build this one. Thanks for this I really appreciate this video. I am on a budget.
Hi, I made myself a double Turner but I can't figure out what size football for my 30 oz cups! I got Dollar tree ones which work for 20 oz. I prefer a pool noodle but it's a little big for the 1/2 in pvc. Suggestions???
What siz3 screw screws into the brass coupling to connect the cap
Question! Ive noticed people saying they cant keep the pvc pipe attached to the motor , the screw keeps coming undone as it turns .... any suggestions pls?
Jessics Mundy locktite
Can the PVC pipe screw on and off of the coupler? I made something similar and used a dowel rod but had to glue it so I can't take of the actual PVC pipe. I was thinking of making another one like this but use the coupler instead.
How do u connect the roter to the pipe its a bit confusing
Hi, can you make one out of PVC only (not wood)? I would love to do one myself since my husband tried this one for 3 times and failed.
I made this exact turner! Any way to make it into a double cup?
Thanks for this!
Very beautiful cup Turner, you can have a look, thank you!

Hello, I followed your video and made a cup turner but when I place a cup on the turner the motor stops turning. Do you know why this could be happening
thank you for the great video
What size mother did you use?
When you click on the amazon links it gives you coupler size options and motor size....which did you use?
How do you get the hole dead center of the pvc cap.
have you ever built a solar oven , just curious send link if you have
Thanks Ryan! I needed something new. Th carousel one does not work for me anymore and husband will not build me anything else. I feel I can do this, other than the electrical which he DID agree to since he is an electrician.
I have 5 Charbroil motors so plan on taking apart and using the same method with the piece inside, plus buy a few of these so I have one long row of them. Just need to find a coupling joint like the ones you posted for those. Or maybe they will fit...hmm
hey Ryan, I bought all this stuff to make a couple of these , but im stumped when I get to the pvc cap. I am not sure how it goes on the shaft so it turns. I did have to do one adjustment on everything because the guy that made my football handle used 3/4 pvc pipe so I bought a 3/4 " cap but how big of a whole am I suppose to be doing , is it suppose to go over the shaft or does the Phillips head screw suppose to hold it on the shaft , I drilled a big hole on my first one to go over the shaft lol its not turning and it don't fit in the whole that the shaft is through, I re-looked at your video and it appears as if the cap is not over the shaft but maybe held by the Phillips head on the shaft? I hope I explained that enough for you to answer my question . thanks
Thanks 😊
🙏 thank you!
Hey Ryan do you have measurements of the wood for this turner
I am have a issue with my screws. The Phillips screw keeps coming loose. Can anyone help me PLEASE!!!
Hello I need a Bit to make the hole in the board I was told it was made with a 7/8 in Drill Bit but there’s a few is it any 3/8 or 6 Amazon has a few sizes?
How do I add a cord onto the plug? Thanks!
How would I make this using the roterissa motor
We made this several weeks ago and successfully turner four times...the motor is now stuttering. What did we do wrong?
What motor do you recommend me 2.5- 3 RPM or 5-6 RPM
THANKS IN ADVANCE
Thank you!
Nice, I used clear spray paint on some that I made. But resin is the way to go, I need to build one of these. Good video
Hi Ryan! Simplest one yet ive seen... Question I have everything else down EXCEPT the part after you attached the phillips heads screw on the coupler. Is it just the screw that's inside the pipe???? Please HELP
Chrissy BM yes.
@@Fentertainment what size screw did you use in the cap and coupler? I cant seem to find one that fits.
Is the plug polarized?
Ok on this turner i have everything listed but it the screw that came with mine is not long enough to for the cap ,Also do you line the holes up on the little black pieces with the motor.
Take the adapter in the hardware store and get a screw for the cap to connect the pvc. I have forgot off hand what the size is but I can tell you it will be metric! You do not have to line the holes on the adapter to the holes on the motor. Sometimes they do line up and most times they dont. The set screws will push against the shaft to make sure the adapter is in place.
How long can I leave the motor on???
how do i add the wires to the plug?
Thank you
is your pvc pipe about 12 in. long?
Hey do you know where I can purchase the motor from in the store
Sticking around for the home improvement videos! Looking forward to it.
Do you sell the turners or know anyone that does?
How do I get the plans?
My pipe n cap fell off any tips why
I would buy one from you? Would you make me one and sell it to me? No clue how I would do the wood and all that stuff pls!
Please describe the piece of pvc pipe to get. What size and how long? Will a piece of pool noodle work instead of the football?
1/2" pvc with cap. I'm sure a pool noodle will work.
How long is the pvc pipe?
I just built this turner, and the motor is getting quite hot. I had planned on running it overnight but now I’m not so sure. I was also hoping to use this motor to make a multiple cup turner but I don’t think it can handle it! Should I be concerned about the heat??
Brandi Pelfree These are the same motors that are in the bbq rostiseries. If you have one open it up and check it out.mine also gets warm. Might be the reason they put the black covers on them.
Thanks for the info and all your tutorials ... Hats off to you
What rpm rating is the motor??
Hey how much will you charge to make me one with shipping?
This turner seems to turn faster than the rotisserie ones does the epoxy cure even? Thanks in advance love your videos
I made this, but it turn one way and then back the other way. I won't even go all the way around before changing directions. What could be the problem. I made it for a cup turner.
T Dish It sounds like it is binding. Check to make sure that nothing is restricting the movement.
Do you plan on a video doing multiple cups? with mico motor
Been there done that. IF you checked out the channel you would see all kinds of things czcams.com/video/-TCHSCNzwmo/video.html
What is the bottom hole that has been cut out for? Also is there anyway to make it where the pvc pipe screws off to work on the cup then screws back on the turner? Thank You
The bottom hole is for nothing. I just used scrap wood to make this. Yes you could use a 1/2" female thread cap and 1/2 -1/2 male adapter for the pvc
Thank You!
Hi Ryan if you do decide to sell the side would love to purchase one thank you and it’s great to see your tutorials again
hey mate my name is Vince I'm from morayfield QLD just wondering were eles I can buy the adaptors from I carn't get them from here thank you Vince.
I wonder if you can glue a larger piece of pvc to the rod?
Awesome tutorial Ryan!! Thanks for sharing!!
Is this a 1 x 6 board. I did not really understand you when you said it. Thank you.
Yes it is.
What size
Motor
Thank you so much for the excellent video.
do you think that motor has enough torque to do 2 ?,, by means of rubber bands connecting each pvc pipe instead of chain
DOES THE MOTOR GET HOT?
I need to make one of these! Thank you for sharing the links! :)
Thank you so much for sharing this
Can I use an old tart warmer cord with one of the roller wheel box to turn it on it off?
Can the coupler be bought at a local store? I checked lowes and they didnt know what I was talking about. 😭😭
I've never found them in the stores. I usually just get mine with amazon and free 2 day shipping. if you arent a member I would just sign up for a free trial. Link in description. I think they are in a 2 pack now
Scan I buy one from you
Hello Ryan, Thank you so much for this video!! I was wondering if your motor gets hot. Mine is very hot and I wanted to make sure that is normal.
Mine does get warm.
I’ve had the same problem with the motor getting hot
Yes, the motor does get hot. We solved this by putting an ac powered 6 inch fan pointed to the motor. The motor runs cool now!
did you get the 4rpm or the 5-6 rpm motor?
5 to 6 is what I used and believe is the one used here as it is high listed when you use his motor link
