Hi i am having truble tunning string A. It is just not sounding right. And my question was does the string supposed to be tighter than the rest?

I had the same trouble, try making it looser not tighter?
I used an app (guitartuna) and I tuned it to that :) it kept tuning to g at first so I set it to manual so it turned to a and it worked

I use a Tuning device to tune my uke and My A string sounds way lower than yours does. Did i do something wrong

I'm trying it for hours and i still don't get it. Why can't the be tuned when you buy it?
I got an app but it’s mixing up my G and A. Anytime I go to tune A it tells me it’s G and it’s done that on every single app
My tuner doesn’t pick up the G string, it goes to C string right away! I’ve been trying for so long it doesn’t work. What should I do?
Put your tuner into manual mode. You will have to click which string you are tuning.
Has there been any case that they switch place of G and C strings? I feel like I got G on the C string and C on the G string. Cant get it right :(

It works for Soprano, Concert, and Tenor

joseph tobar you might have a different ukulele
joseph tobar he has a tenor ukelele. it depends on what ukelele you’re using. if you’re using a big ukelele, it’s likely baritone. if it’s average size, it’s concert. if it’s quite small, it’s soprano. a tenor is just a bigger size of a concert. size can effect the sound. a digital tuner can help out, though.
