I remember in public school in the 60s we learned to tune the ukulele before playing it. We said as we hit each string my dog has fleas. It was so much fun and now I'm learning all over again! Thank Andy! Love your videos.

lol you think a uke is bad: just try tuning a banjo!!! When a banjo string breaks it's like a steal whip - potentially lethal.
This isn't fair. I can't tune it no matter how many videos I watch. I've been trying for a long time now. Still on G cord.

I am used to tuning a 38 string harp. A 4 string ukulele is a breeze! Thanks for a clear and easy tutorial!
Impressive I must say but do you tune with your ears or use an app? The fact you tune a 38 stringed instrument is already impressive and I wouldn't be surprised to find out you tune by ears.
@@saujanyapoudel8910 I use an app on my phone or one of my two clip on tuners. Ever since smart phones it has made things so much easier! the clip on tuner are a pain -- moving them up the harp as you go. the app works great! Thanks for such a clearly explained video!

when i tell you it is harder than i looks...........it took me 10 minutes to get to G nvm it went back to f (again)

I can't tune the C. Everytime I turn the knob slightly it turns to an E and never is actually tuned. Idk how to explain that's the best I can do. Help meee.

Elizabeth Scheuermann Ah no I’m sorry. I had forgotten to take my ukulele to my local store to fix it and I can’t now since all the shops are closed. Maybe watch a few videos on youtube or search it up. If I do find out, I’ll let you know :)
Elizabeth Scheuermann I got it to G. When you get in between F and A tune it slowly in the direction you need to. You’ll eventually get to G

I’ve been a musician for many years and I had no idea boss had a chromatic tuner app (I use the real one on my guitar rig). What a life saver; it’s so much nicer than all those little clip on tuners I’ve bought over the years.

Ok question. First time tuning my ukulele using this app. I start with the G, get it in the green just fine. Then by the time I finish the rest the G will already be several bars out of green again, as will the others in turn. What's happening here?
