im an anton main and i only have him at cinema 2, but yeah he is weirdly under rated i cant believe how many people are saying hes weak or he needs rina/grace or he relies on shock too much etc etc. i just play anton, anby, nicole with either the ether or the shock anomaly bangboo and if you infinitely extend his enhanced form and use anby's combos that give her the elemental damage to break with you wont have a problem building up shock. its also nice that you dont have to level up his skill if youre trying to be economical
As far as his W-engine goes. I've pulled 70 times on the weapon banner. I've gotten more than 15 copies of his weapon. So give it a cheeky 10 pull and you'll probably get it.
15:00 if u playing him with the infinite energy method u do need that and it does helps cos u going to be 1 on field ALL THE TIME and dodging constantly but that's if u play him like that exploiting his infinite energy tech (while having at least M1 u whiff 2 basic atks and hit with the 3rd drill atk therefore use no energy at all)
as long as you have his e2 you can stay in his burst mode forever so he never needs to switch off the field unless you want to go to a stunner or your support, so nothing wrong with running him on a team where you dont quick swap him as much. personally i just swap to counter and once the enemy is broken i on field him for the whole stun
to add to this, if youre on-fielding him for the whole stun it will be a dps increase to dodge counter during this time instead of swap countering because 1) you dont want to waste time going off him when the enemy is already broken unless for some reason you have something you need to do on another character and 2) the dodge counter is one of the ways to extend his burst mode.
this is cool tech but the gargantuan 50% boost from his sig WE is lost if you keep doing this. on the other hand keeping anton off field and building up energy allows him to do his special over and over again to reset that tiny 10s timer of 50% damage increase. you can maybe use it if you run out of energy when the boss is still stunned but completely relying on the tech is pretty impractical especially when there's multiple enemies around. whiffing ba 1 and hitting ba 2 is easy in training mode with 1 enemy. it's a different story in shiyu when there's thanatos and 3 lesser enemies around
i saw anton in the thing for trying out characters and i used him and rina and holy fuck i loved both, and i ended up getting both lol, shits going well and antons just fun, simple but fun also amazing character lol
i lose a lot on the daze build up but i love pairing up Anton with Nicole primarily because of the quick assist tech that transitions perfectly from Nicole gravity ball to anton's quick assist attack and it does hella crapton of damage when you have build Shock build-up + the def reduction from the gravball. it's such a quick dps check and i can cycle it pretty fast as long as i'm dodging and parrying well to compensate for the lack of Stun agent
I have had some shit pulls. staying F2p and have koleda(my only 5star -_-) and ben and anton (with sig weapon) but like you said, its something i should move away from. Guess I will have to shelve him until i get more electros.

Just use him with anby. Use koleda for a 2nd team. You will need at least 2 teams for shiyu anyways.
Anton takes a bit of time to understand how he works, and until you get the mechanics he appears really weak
I have full cinema Anton. What happens when I pull another ?
You'll get 100 Residual Signal, instead of a Focus for that agent and 40 Residual Signal.
