Ben is used not because hes a defense, but because he have more utility offers in the team, fire core passive enabler+shield with 32CV on top of that and he have a good daze even not cinema6. If you have his Engine hes counter attacks deals tons of dmg and applies a lot of fire for anomaly team.
Also grace is just played wrong by those people that says shes bad. She applies shock so fast so for you to hit 100k disorder just make dure grace procs shock first before blowing up any element to trigger disorder, youre jaw will drop on the ammount of disorder dmg she deals. Just make sure to build her decently
Wait, why would you proc shock first? Don't you need to trigger the second element for the disorder? I have a hard time getting disorder to trigger personally since I can only really land them on bosses and they're few and far between
@@zacziggarot Because thats how shock works based on my experience, Its not like assault. You need to triggrr shock first for more disorder dmg this is already proven. I own grace so I have been experiencing If I trigger other element first and then shock that disorder would be dogshit, you can try it
@@reedsad4652 okay I was just confused because you said the Grace does almost instant shock so it makes sense to use her to trigger the disorder instead of as the proc. Anomaly characters probly deal extra disorder damage though...

idk with how this game has factions characters like soldier 11 might go down or up in usage in the future if other support characters or stun characters come out in the future, we also have no clue if zzz will introduce new roles or elements in the future
idk about electric stun cop but m4 anby has electric party energy regen in her kit which is nice.
I really don’t like how they say Jane doe is Kafka, because we don’t have a character in star rail that allows DoT to crit yet. Kafka *detonates* DoT, and we *do* have a character that does that in ZZZ.

m6 grace is gonna be hard to power creep and ppl will eventually get that with how limited banners are same with lycaon and rina are the best limited characters and will always be strong options.
There's definitely a conversation to be had of "yes we know every damage dealer will eventually get powercrept, but man some have much more staying power than others." I'm with you in that I think Ellen may have more longevity than people are giving her credit for, but that all remains to be seem. Outside of that though supports will last forever as usual
If miyabi ddnt exist or if shes another element then ellen can be a top ice dps for a long time
There's so many factors to consider, even just looking at stuff they've done in Genshin/HSR. They could add wildly different endgame modes to make every character valuable, enable enemy element weakness ignore, focus character kits more around faction, add another element or character type. It's so hard to tell this early, but I would lean on the side of it being more like HSR where older DPS are still good but not the best.
No doubt Ellen would fall off in terms of meta relevance amongst damage dealers relatively soon but I don’t think there will be another Ice Attacker within a year.
There still isn’t another Quantum Hunt or Destruction other than Seele till this day. Any character that doubles up role + element with the most owned 5* limited is not gonna sell well.
Lycaon and Soukaku also had Ice visual effects added to their skills but I don’t see it with Miyabi in her cutscenes so I’m not sold.
This is why, it's pointless getting fomo'ed in gacha game and just pull for your fav char.
I got ellen pretty late, but I really enjoy her running and charging attack play style while my friend hated it.

I really don't see the reasoning for Defense being a class. The best defense agents will always just act like support agents, buffing your team in some way.
Miyabi was ice in cbt1 and was later removed and replaced by Ellen in the subsequent betas because everyone were only play testing miyabi and they couldn’t get enough data on the other units at the time. There is a possibility of her element changing, however that is pure speculation on my part. If they do keep her ice and make her an attacker that would be a direct powercrept on Ellen. Both Sokaku and I believe nicholes’s element were changed from cbt1 and the live game by the removal of the wind element and introduction of ether. Also there were no classes/roles in cbt1 for example there were no attacker or supporter class, so she could possibly be an anomaly instead.
Without any prior knowledge of any CBTs, when I was watching the cutscene where she was in, I thought she was Lightning. Then I found out the she was apparently Ice from the CBT info.
All games have powercreep but they have done a good job with powercreep in genshin. The powercreep is bad in hsr just because it's turn based
And 2 nee characters per patch aint healthy in terms of power scaling since they want to sell it
HSR has power creep but the characters that got power creeped 6 months to a year ago are still viable. It may not be the absolute "best" way to do things, but it's not too harmful while also making new players feel incredibly powerful (they get to pull on a top tier character almost guaranteed). New players are pretty vital to the game, just hope they don't push power level too fast in ZZZ
I don't even think the power creep is necessarily a bad thing even, especially when it happens like months down the line. Any character that's fully built will still be a contender since new characters will take a week to build anyways.

If they've thought ahead, they can bring characters back into the meta at least twice, while also needing a new hero to reach their full potential.
1. Attack Types are not referenced by skills yet, if I remember correctly.
2. Separate\extra passives for factions and elements. (When there are already 6-8 heroes per faction.)
3. Connections between old and new heroes like Ben and Koleda.
4. Endgame content that requires extreme teams. (eg. Three physical attack units.)
5. Daily content where heroes can be sent on a mission and return after a day. Alár can end with a fight. (Must meet requirements.)

They "learned" from Genshin. They didn't make these A-ranks to eventually not be powercreeped by limited S-ranks. So yeah, we will probably see better limited S-rank supports in the future.
The moment they taken focus on the Defense characters especially limited S ranks soon. It will be an interesting thing will happen...
I don't see Nicole getting crept any time soon at least with Zhu Yuan. Her role is to flat out give a ton of damage buffs and crit rate buffs to your DPS. And then her special flat 25% ether damage buff is absurd in an ether team. I guess we'll see.
