Great video and explanation, thank you so much! I'm getting my build sometime this week and never installed Windows before. My Motherboard is different (MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS) but I think the options are probably the same since it's MSI too.
One question I have though is, after installing Windows, do I need to change Boot priority again?

To install the AMD Ryzen 5 CPU on the MSI B450 Carbon Max wifi motherboard, did you have to update the Bios of the motherboard first?
no, Not at all. you don't need to update the bios.
At 6:10 -> after doing the same settings when the windows logo appears: the loading circle stops spinning and it basically freezes. What can i do? I dont get the blue windows installation screen
When I do this my bios just pops back up and then gets distorted. When I download the windows 10 installation media and try to update windows 10 that way It will download it and then restart and I can see a flash of the windows 10 update happen then it just reboots into the old windows 10 version that I don’t want, Version 1511. No matter what I do I cannot get version 21h2.
May i ask you what is your screen resolution. Is it hi dpi screen? 2k or 4k ? How is that possible windows installation environment appears high resolution. But my monitor is 1080p but windows never appears high resolution while installing.
Gracias 🙂

Hi could you please do a video on how to turn off the LED lights through bios when the computer is sleeping?
My fans and motherboard LED lights turn off, but my two memory sticks stay turned on. Idk how to make them turn off.
I fucking love you! Thank you so much !
My pleasure! Hope You would subscribe to my channel. Thanks
Just to be sure, when you boot up, there's no MSI logo showing right? Because I'm having a little issue entering my BIOS on my MSI B550 a pro motherboard and the logo doesn't show up so I'm a little scared, I reset the CMOS manually and I should be able to enter BIOS pressing delete here like you did, but I'm not sure I'm doing it at the right time. Is it right after I power my pc?
You may contact through my Facebook page for further help.
Does your pc turn on?
I have a Logitech wireless USB and mouse, I can't do anything in the bios menu because it won't detect a device, what can I do?
Which files i should add to pendrive?😊

if I follow all your steps I get to the point where I only see uefi at boot mode select and I can't change it pls help me
How did you change it?
how do i know what hard disk brand my pc have from BIOS?
Anyone know why my boot process freezes on the activate window where it shows the windows key input. I’ve tried different windows boot keys but it always freezes at the same window
It might be msi mother board, but more likely its m.2 nvme issues that have been the cause of my bcd issues since i build pc. First i tried cloning windows the first install, second i had to reinstall window 10 twice using different formats partition tables. Thirdly after installing linux mint several times even using a new seperate ssd, i could never i mean never get a damn grub menu without changing the bios boot options! Finally to add insult salt to injury, i couldn't get linux to detect windows 10 and add it to the grub. This is after having installed linux distros 20 times before on other systems. Maybe i just dont know crap about legacy or csm. In the past tried Linux boot repair, still windows is like a ghost, cant be seen because its
Boot mode select is grayed out, doesn’t allow me to change or grey

@@thepcphone hello good sir, this motherboard decided to not Boot into windows, everything Spins & turns on, even cleared the cmos, still no display, Black screen of death!
What if I can't change uefi to legacy and uefi
I need help, when im going to restard the pc, this one dont turn off and stay on, someone can help me with this?
Hey! Thanks a ton for the video, its been pretty helpful. However I ran into a few issues with my bios, My settings were far more limited and did not allow me to change my UEFI to LEGACY+UEFI, thus giving me an error when I try to boot off that USB stick. My PC is a pre-built so maybe that's why my bios is locked down but is there anyway to remove that restriction?
Yeah same, did u figure out a solution?
What is the processor and graphics card that you are using?
Ryzen 5 and GTX 1070 OC edition.
Hello i have b450 carbon motherboard and mu BIOS looks black an white and ITS very limited
o can nota change boot mode select
Bro i can't find integrated graphics option
after i clicked f10 and save the changes i stuck in black screen and wait underscore blinking at the upper right corner?? i don't know what to do
did you find a fix to this?
@@marcopocolosis yes, i just waited for a year as everyone were saying
I do not have the option to select boot mode select, for some reason it is greyed out and is stuck to uefi, is there a way to change this? Thank you
Yeah me too, i think that you have to change something in settings in order for it to be changeable
Y’all find a solution to this ?
Nvm did it

I dont get the option of legacy, only UEFI. What gives?
Will the ryzen 5 5600x work on this motherboard? Will i have to flash the bios?
No you don't have to, it does work with the default bios!!
MSI is pretty good about updating their boards before they sell them.
Indian tech support is always the best
Please do subscribe to this channel. And thanks for your time.
Did you need legacy USB
it would take both ! UEFI and Legacy both!
Will I need to update bios with ryzen 5 5600g?
yes
Anyone know a good budget graphics card that works well with this motherboard
gtx 1060
Everything i did but i couldnt. Asus tomahawk max at startup, i cant install windows 10 uefi. Warning error say, csm/legacy .... Mbr... bllaaa blaaaa blaaaa.
Hmmm, well now my monitor went black and is just beeping blue, BIOS isn’t even popping up.
Yeah my monitor is now saying no signal.
Can’t even get BIOS up.
For me it doesnt work, idk why, its just stuck on loading the windows wizard, it wont load setup wizard
Same issue with me. Have you got any solution?
@@saumyatewari8669 nop
@@lazar6508 it is a hard disk issue. I removed the hard disk and it's working fine now.

When I enable CSM I can’t secure boot
You can't do both enable at the same time, I think. Would you tell me your USB Installer in MBR Or GPT?
@@thepcphone I had to get a whole new SSD and windows in order for it to work. Even when I tried to convert it. Legit took me 3 days because of trial and error just to play Val
Hi all
First of all ty for the video. I hoped that setting would fix my problem:
This is my PC:
[Mother board]: MPG X570 GAMING Plus
[CPU]: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16x 3.4Ghz (max 4.9Ghz)
[WATERCOOLING]: CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML240L ARGB 2
[GPU]: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 10Gb
[RAM]: 32Gb DDR4 3200Mhz Dual Channel (2x16Gb) - 128Gb max
[SSD]: 500Gb SSD M.2
[HDD]: 3Tb HDD
My problem is that once my USB start running the W installation I see how the white dots forming the white circle appair and just before getting in the Graphic interface it reboots.
Any idea of what can be happening?
Thanks on advanced!!
Did you solve the problem?
@@p0ria My problem was that I was given a PC with a defective CPU. I got my PC to a shop where they passed different test to all the hardware components one by one, Mem, CPU, GPU, etc... until they isolated the problem. In my case, a defective CPU. So I contact to the shop Sedatech (in Berlin) which at the beguinning didnt wanted to make efective my warranty but I used convincing methods with them and they changed their mind.
I can't change my boot mode select. It's just greyed out....any thoughts?
Got the same problem bro did you figure it out ?
@@campbellnicholls7949 I'm pretty sure this is how I got there in the end. Settings\Advanced\Windows OS Configuration\Windows 10 WHQL Support (Windows 8/8.1 Feature) = [Disabled].
@@fally15 thanks this literally just helped me fix my pc after 2 days of trying haha appreciate this comment so much
It's not letting me change it to legacy uefi it's greyed out why is that what do I do?
Would you please tell me what actually you have done from the beginning.?
@@thepcphone ok so basically I did attach all pieces together properly, I turned on the device and then with my laptop I downloaded the media installation tool on the Microsoft website I then took that to my computer and placed the USB stick into the slot and then set the bios to uefi not csm (I also tried with csm because it's the only setting that let's me use legacy uefi) and I basically did everything in your video and everytime it gets to the windows start up screen as soon as I move my mouse to click download now suddenly I get the blue screen that has a sad face saying my device ran into a problem and needs to restart and just loops like that constantly
My motherboard I bought which is the same as yours it's actually not working properly that's why it won't let me install windows into it I figured that out by noticing it being kinda weird in the loading part how it shows the msi logo and those wavy clouds and then suddenly it changes to some weird pixilated cloud crap so in other words long story short I need a new motherboard, I won't be trusting this company for a while with their motherboards because of this
@@jacobstannah169 Something like that happened to me "the msi logo and those wavy clouds and then suddenly it changes to some weird pixilated cloud" I just wait it to restart, because it's new board you need to clear cmos, and after that you can enter to the bios and make all the step on this video. I make it today and have W10 running good on MSI Tomahawk :))
Not working ffor me
Sorry to hear that!
