- Highlights of the Reenactment of the Battle of Princeton from January 8, 2023. The reenactment was presented by the Princeton Battlefield Society with approximately 300 reenactors and over 1,000 spectators. pbs1777.org/
The American Battlefield Trust preserves America’s hallowed battlegrounds and educates the public about what happened there and why it matters. We permanently protect these battlefields for future generations as a lasting and tangible memorial to the brave soldiers who fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War.
I was at this reenactment that day. It was amazing!! Nice job by all!
Great video! God bless these great Reenactors that bring our history alive for the rest of us.
You guys need to do battlefield tours of revolutionary battlefields.
nah too many people would watch that
Very cool, very well done by all the reenactors!
Thank you for filming this event and posting the video.
I hope you visit battle of Monmouth reenactment this year. It's the 245th anniversary and it should be a good one.
I hope you're right. Last year's reenactment was pretty weak
@@k.w.1775 It was the first in three years and I'm sure there are people who were still concerned about COVID.
Drove from 2am-6:30am to be there. I’m a Sgt in the British line, God save the King!
Thanks mate! I’ve done it too! Used to drive from FLA BTW I was in the horse
Thank you ABT for all that you do.
Neat video of the reenactment. Thank you very much!
I just stopped for the first time at this park yesterday. It was too cold for very much exploring, but I’ll be back!
seems this event went very well. thanks for posting it.
It’s too bad that the original Mercer Oak is no longer alive. The tree was supposedly where the mortally wounded General Hugh Mercer was brought under.
The tree that now stands is a sapling of the original
@@AmericanBattlefieldTrust A baby tree to grow tall!
@@greenwave819 ❤
Another source said the old tree was not the spot where Mercer died.
The tree was in the area where General Mercer was wounded, and they put him under the tree. He died in the Clark house a few days later. You can see the house at 0:33.
Thanks for getting video of us! it was a great day
Thank you
Thank you!
this totally reminds me of some civil war game i played back in the 90's I cant remember for the life of me what it is called though. I thought it was robert e lee civil war general. but pictures are totally wrong. it would have gifs of certain attacks, and you are forced to play the historic battles from the south side. when you beat the game it unlocks sand box mode that allows you to play from the north perspective. I want to play it again. but the biggest thing I remember from the game was the music. it was AMAZING!!!!
RIP
To the 25-44 Americans and 59-100 British soldiers who were killed in the Battle of Princeton
I love Civil War history but love Revolutionary War history more just for the plain fact that whether north or south we were all united under one cause. We all are American and God Bless everyone!
I live 10 minutes away. Such a shame they sold so much of this area. All about the dollars. Great video
cheers!
Terima kasih perkongsian video nya 👍👍
Well done good people, well done
I vaguely remember there was Continental Artillery on the battlefield. What happened to them.
COOL!
Seems like the British especially needed more people
Yup very well done. However, need Washington, Mercer, and Haslet.
dicey
Battle of Princeton
They have as much trouble taking hits as we do in 1863!
It can be a number thing honestly, you want to put on a good show but you can't take tens of hits at proper range in a small platoon because there will be nothing left
😘
Merci !
we have come a long way in killing each other this is boring now compared to ukraine combat videos
Nah , still enjoy a bit of linear warfare here and then
