- A poor father is torn as he struggles to pay his daughter's tuition at one of the most expensive schools in Liberia.
When his daughter was taken to the village to visit her grandmother, the father became entangled in a web of culture and tradition.
At age fourteen, his daughter was forced into the Sande Society and was forced to marry a 54 year old man, who often raped and abused her.
Since his tribe does not practice female genital mutilation(FGM), the poor father embarks on a journey to free his daughter from the clutches of culture and tradition.

I missed out on my childhood because I didn't have a supportive father in my life. Thanks to my beloved mother who filled that void of being both a mother and a father. Today, I can proudly say that I am doing well in life because of my mother. I go above and beyond to care for my own kids will no be absent in their lives. Thanks Frank Artus for such a masterpiece!

Oh my goodness, I loveeeeeee this movie so much. It shows the actual lifestyle of many people. Watching it made me realize how privileged I have been to have both mom and Dad actually provides my daily needs. I can not imagine what it is like to live such a life.
Now this is what you call stepping the game up for recognition, Frank and the Team, My LIB all day.
One thing about this movie am so in love with is the fact that they are not trying to speak standard English it's so real please keep giving us things like this let's go back to our root
