  • Pros and Cons of Living in Brownsburg Indiana... Are there pros to living in Brownsburg, Indiana? Absolutely. It's an extremely high rated place to live in the state of Indiana and a sneaky nice suburb around Indianapolis. But, are there cons to living in Brownsburg, Indiana as well? Absolutely there are. In this video we'll cover the pros and cons of living in Brownsburg, Indiana. While some of these pros could be cons for someone else we must keep in mind that often points like these are subjective. A pro for one is not necessarily a pro for another. Brownsburg, Indiana overall is a great place to live. I would certainly say the cons aren't necessarily alarming or as bad as what you may find in many other places around the country. Let me know what you think!

I grew up and there its a nice place now (middle-middle to upper-middle class) but it could very positively be the worse centrally planned town in the country. Right through town is SR267 and its jammed nearly all day long. They put Ronald Reagan expressway in 20 ys too late but that still doesnt cover the 267 and 136 nightmares. Carmel, Indiana is the opposite of this-smart central planning (heres a simple hint-you expand roads and schools with neighborhoods/population growth). You dont just put a ton of several hundred home subdivisions in without anything else.

I've lived in Brownsburg for 11 years. It's gotten very very crowded and exponentially busier (especially traffic, shopping centers) each year. A simple trip to Walmart can be a nightmare. All subjective to your stress tolerance I suppose. It's a nice town, but housing prices are a bit overinflated. It's also worth mentioning that the Indianapolis ghetto has seeped it's way into Avon/ parts of Brownsburg. It's not an innocent, quaint little town by any means. I would honestly go with neighboring Pittsboro or Lebanon to live in, honestly. Brownsburg is not what it used to be

Do you currently have a video or can you make a video of towns/cities within an hour to Indianapolis that are good for small homesteads and where we could get land for a more affordable price?

Thank you for sharing. Are there a lot of bugs in summer? And storms? Is it very moisture and windy in summer and winter? Considering moving to there.

I live in Brownsburg. Yes, there are bugs if you're out in the forest areas in the summer. Yes, there are storms in the spring and summer. Some can be severe with an occasional tornado. Winter is usually mild until January, February and March. Those are the months that bring the majority of snow and cold weather.

Excelente video. Congratulations. Debería animarse a hacer un vídeo relacionada con la historia de Brownsburg. Quizás en la Biblioteca Pública de Brownsburg podría conseguir esa información

I can say coming from where I currently live, the cons aren't really cons to me which is promising. I live in Colorado and if I want to get to the metro area of the state to do anything fun, it's 4.5 hours

Not a fair comparison at all between Zionsville and Brownsburg. Not only are property taxes much higher in Zionsville, but Zionsville doesn't have an interstate or a state route running through it. Brownsburg has both (and two state routes converge at the center of town. Not having all the large scale traffic in Zionsville allows them to have narrow streets and an abundance of pedestrian traffic, adding to the quaint feel.

Grew up in Brownsburg it had a population of 5k at the time. Now it's over 30k. They like to raise any buildings over 10 yrs old it seems.
