Lee Lets Gawky Ben Die or Saves Him (The Walking Dead | Telltale Games)

- Walking through the hallway, Lee is surprised by Molly's jump through a hole in the ceiling. She had gone off to fetch a picture of her sister, whom had been killed by the Crawford residents when Logan stopped her supply of insulin and her symptoms started to surface. Then when walking to the classroom, Ben scares Lee and Molly with a hatchet. When Lee and Molly figure out that it was the hatchet holding the door from walkers, walkers enter inside and Molly kills some of them. Suddenly, one grabs ahold of her and enters a struggle, at which Lee will have to shoot the walker.
Upon getting inside the classroom, Brie holds the door shut and stands by it to make sure no walkers get in while Kenny is just about finished opening the armory door by force. A now-regretful Ben finally decides to come clean about his dealings with the bandits to Kenny. Kenny, upon hearing what Ben says after bashing the door open, becomes furious and attacks Ben, only to be held back by Vernon and Lee. A short argument ensues, and eventually everyone begins to vote Ben out. After this, Lee can either vote for Ben to stay, leave or abstain. Brie will question whether she and Vernon get a vote or not, only to be interrupted as three walkers break through the door, and take bites her to death through disembowelment. As Vernon watches in horror, Lee orders everyone to run into the bell tower, dragging Vernon with them.
With the armory door being unable to shut due to Kenny's force beforehand, the group runs down the stairs, only to find the room to be infested with walkers, now attentive on them. Kenny hands Lee a shotgun that was in the hands of a fallen guard as the group begins to head up the stairs, and, after shooting and fighting his way up the stairs, the group makes it to the top of the tower. As the group begins to pile out the window, Vernon notices the train, and asks where the group came to Savannah from. Upon everyone (except Ben and Lee) vacating, the bell rings, to which Ben covers his ears. A walker that had been hanging from the bell eventually grabs hold of Ben, at which point Lee can shoot it off of him. walkingdead.wikia.com

Because he was thinking that he didn't belong in the group, he felt useless and he felt like everything was his fault(which was) but he honestly thought Lee was going to drop him since they were getting mad at him constantly and talking him down, but he's just a teenager and a boy, otherwise it was heat of the moment

What mainly pisses me off is how your choices, regardless of whether or not you actually can make a difference, just won't matter at all, you can play through an entire game and almost every single outcome will be the same, it's just lazy writing, even if you actually manage to save a character they just end up dead later, and if they don't then they just get left behind, but no matter what, the outcome is always the same.

I could not let him die, its a shame too that he died anyway. Even though he was clumsy and made mistakes that hurt the group, it was cause he wanted to either: A: help the group. And B: Didnt know that what he was doing was putting the others in danger. After he told Kenny off, I understanded why he was always nervous and clumsy: he wanted to help, and tried hard to. He felt like that after he cost others lives, he felt like he didn't belong, and wanted to die. He always felt like he was burden, and it made him not work as well. But he was starting to feel better, then he was killed.
Tomb8521 T I think letting him die is also a good choice; he was brave enough to suggest leaving him behind to not endanger the group, he did it because he rightly had at least 3 people on his conscience (Duck, Katjaa, Carley) and wanted to do something good for once. Ben really deserved what he got either way, letting him die here or later on, at least this time he had a choice and died on his conditions.
@@tailsxox That's what I was thinking. I made the choice of letting Ben go, When he told Lee he needs to be let go to save the group, I was thinking he wanted to redeem himself from what he had done that tore the group apart. I can see it in his eyes that he's scared but fully decided to just die.
I don't blame Ben for taking the axe. He didn't know how long it was there. That could've been put there a month before that and the zombies could've left there for all he knew. I wanna know how the zombies didn't make any noise and broke through the door as soon as he mentioned where he got it from

If he wasn't so selfish he would've grabbed her and practically dragged her out of that swarm with him.
Not only that but the whole reason he was everything else you said was because he gave too much of a shit about how he appeared to others in the group and only did "selfless acts" for selfish reasons because he didn't want to get kicked out of the group. If he wasn't selfish he would've either bucked up and shut up or volunteered to leave the group upon realising he was the weakest link.

if Ben died near the beginning, I think so many more people would've lived or survived a bit longer, hell, Kenny may have even survived because there would've been more bodies to help him.

It's because ben was only a burden and cost multiple lives. All of his mistakes caused harm to everyone else. He also hid crucial information from the rest of the group.

While Ben wanted Lee to drop him, you can tell he wasn't completely onboard with that decision if you pay close enough attention. You'll see Ben grab onto Lee's wrist if you choose to pull him back up and that casually delivered "Why?" may have actually been intentional.

Sometimes I do. Sometimes I take from fan wiki or other net source. Like in this case - you can see the link to the source that I put in the description. Otherwise I would just kill myself trying to write 3 huge paragraphs of text for each video myself :)). Sometimes I combine: part from the net, part by myself. Or sometimes I have to listen to ingame text and write it down carefully to put it later into description. I just don't like videos without any reasonable non-generic description - they look so sad and desolate... (⊙︿⊙✿)

Letting Ben die is the most wrong and useless choice ever. He may have done some bullshit but he doesn't deserve to die. Nothing was solved by letting him die, he had his faults but I would never let someone die like that. In addition, a scene is lost in which Ben silences Kenny and which makes his character evolve and this is fundamental for him since he thus proves to be able to forgive

His other death is better he accepted death here because he thought the fall would kill him but he just broke his legs that’s why he calls for help. His fear was being eaten his other death is him being shot because Kenny knew his fear sad
