- Survivors finally manage to get inside the house in Savannah. Once they are all inside, Christa starts to berate Lee for not telling them that Clementine's walkie-talkie works and that there is someone on the other end of it. Kenny wonders if the one on the radio is the one that rang the bells and drew the walkers toward them. He quickly debases it saying it makes no sense to lure someone into a trap and warn them about it. Kenny and Ben decide to search the second floor of the house and have Lee search the first floor for any dangers. The house is picked clean, save for two bottles of whiskey and a large bag of dog food.
After checking the place out, Kenny finds an emaciated zombie boy that looks like Duck in the attic. Kenny theorizes that he ran out of food and starved to death. Lee and Kenny decide they can't leave him there. Lee tells Kenny he doesn't have to do this, proceeding to kill the boy himself (either by bashing, shooting or stomping the boy to death). The pair look over the dead body, Lee taking the corpse to bury, Kenny looking on in despair.walkingdead.wikia.com

I feel so bad for the boy. Starvation is slow and painful. It must have been so hard to watch the world he loved crumble and then die a slow and painful death.
Then I came over and saw the dead parents. In one of the paintings there is 4 people: The Boy, A girl, and the parents. I don’t know what happened to the girl, but I think that kid walked into his parents room just to find him dead. Distraught, he probably hid out upstairs until he probably died from dehydration or less likely starvation.

This scene made me cry first time watching it. That boy probably watched his parents die and turn, he hid up in the attic and was too afraid to go back down for food. What really stuck with me is how easily Lee crushed its skull, there wasn't that much force he put in. I found it especially sad that the zombie was too weak to even walk. Then, Lee buried the body next to the dog, a dog that was the boy's friend. They were separated, now together.
The sadder theory is that because you don’t see the other family members, he was probably left behind. On accident or on purpose, he died alone. If the parents joined Crawford, then they definitely abandoned him.

I felt really bad for Kenny on this part, I mean he loved his family with all his heart, he said that he was going to keep them safe no matter what, but he lost them in a short time, and after he finds a new family he loses them too
I think he misses Lee a lot, at least Lee made him bounze back when Katjaa and Duck died but with Sarita he was lost, Clementine wasn't enough

10 year old little boy. hungry, missing his mom and dad, wondering where his puppy is, not being able to sleep for hearing the sounds of walkers, maybe worried about school and his classmates, maybe thinking that eventually he would be rescued.

He must have been separated from his family and ran back to his home scared, poor kid must have been up there for months alone before starvation kicked in
There was a haven in the town but they didn't allow children. I think Fivel ( the attic boy's name) was abandoned by them so they could seek safety.

@M Nope. We never see his parents. Plus his house has been mostly cleaned out already. So they either died outside the house, or abandoned Fivel to join Crawford.
They could’ve been forced to join Crawford, since I’m sure Crawford would force anyone to join them if that could. And fivel was sadly abandoned, and he tried his best to survive, but starved.
Seeing that man while lee was burying the kid at 2 in the morning scared me so much, probably the creepiest moment in the game.

I remember being nine and watching this, yes it may have scared me, but I really loved this game and going back and watching it now that I understand more is really fun and sad.

I was 12 when I played this game for the first time. Only now I can understand how depressive is this game.
I was nine years old too when I saw this game. Twdg was the first game with very serious themes that I was able to slowly understand over time. It taught me a lot of lessons in the process, including how much of a hero Lee was and how much I respected him a lot. It feels weird how during all the games development, I sort of grew up with clementine.

Burying the family dog is one thing, burying a dead kid with his dog is just upsetting. Especially seeing all the family pictures around the abandoned house of the family, and then finding the poor zombified kid decomposing in his attic where he hid from the dead. I wonder what happened to his parents.

Even though the kid is a zombie it looks like he is asking for help, for him not to suffer. I can hear you now saying "zombies are dead they can't feel pain" or " those walkers had it coming ", well depending on who wrote the book/movie/game they can feel pain ( Zombie chronicles).

When my mom was playing The Walking Dead The Game. She told me when she saw that scene, she almost cried. That game makes any parent cry.

Kenny had the right idea, out on the water really limits how many people can follow you or even find you for that matter. It's also a really great defense against the Dead. Just look at Norma and her brother Randall with what they did with their little community...
However Kenny never thought about how many people living in Savannah used a boat to escape and how many people who were left used whatever they could find for parts and became the Crawford community

No. There is an option to leave Duck to reanimate. His status is undead or dead in the game. But that kid was a boy named 'Fivel" who died of starvation and dehydration. But Fivel is not Duck.

I can’t help but feel incredibly sad for the poor boy he died alone starving and probably terrified knowing that his end would be coming soon enough in a slow yet painful death
Why would the parents lock up the kid in the attic with no food, or water, and killed themselves and left him all alone? What did they expect? Why couldn’t they just end all 3 of their lives instead of leaving your poor child to suffer alone. I know it’s just a game, but I don’t see any logic behind that at all...
i guess killing their own child was too much to bear. probably heat of the moment, thinking someone would come find him. especially since in the earlier days, a lot of ppl thought the military was coming to save them.
If he had any way to get water, he would have been starving for at least 2 weeks, thinking about his parents, his dog, his friends. Thinking that someone was coming to save him as he slowly decomposes into rotten skin and bones.
This is sad, but because we didn't know this kid, it's not as heartbreaking as duck dying

I remember playing this chapter of the history at 15 on psvita and stare at my screen looking the dead dog with the kid and I was thinking how friendly they could be and how the little boy could play with his best friend with the sad song in the background hitting deep inside.. 15 mn after feeling bad for this, I will always think about this part of this game when I hear TWD theme song 🥲

I don’t know if this counts but the next season of TellTale Walking Dead (Season 2) had a lot of deleted scenes. And remove concepts. Especially a ending that got remove for season 2. That when Clem and Aj are facing a severe snowstorm. Clem can leave the baby and survive or both die from hypothermia. There’s a youtuber name InColdBlood that discuss about this.
